Well here is another one.. I was looking through my collection of patterns and came upon this.. so I made them rather plain as I was thinking of male cards.. But I may put a nice ribbon on one to just jazz it up a bit....
Hi ladies...just peeking in...I should be trying to pack but I just cringe at the thought of looking at cardboard!!! SO Instead I am going to go through the gallery leaving love!
No love here except for Kerra...grumpy is out with his girlfriend and mom gets left behind....but...but...I bought cake and stole a piece!!! mmmuuuhhhhhaaaa
anyone there??? just skipping through if you can believe that..... shingles still giving me heaps but other than that, I am doing so good, really good, no crafting, pain when moving the right arm...hmmm.... wonder if I can craft left handed???
Tell you a story though since I am here...... I did this to my underarms once... believe me, stuck fast they were.... hahaha
My night began as any other normal weeknight.
Come home, fix dinner, play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for the next few hours: 'Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine cabinet. So I headed to the site of my demise: the bathroom. It was one of those 'cold wax' kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand, they get warm and you
peel them apart and press them to your leg (or wherever else) and you pull the hair right off.
No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean, I'm not a genius, but I am mechanically inclined enough to figure this out.
(YA THINK!?!)
So I pull one of the thin strips out. Its two strips facing each other stuck together. Instead of rubbing them together, my genius kicks in so I get out the hair dryer and heat it to 1000 degrees.
'Cold wax,' yeah...right!) I lay the strip across my20thigh. Hold the skin around it tight and pull. It works!
OK, so it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do this! Hair removal no longer eludes me!
I am She-rah, fighter of all wayward body hair and maker of smooth skin extraordinaire.
With my next wax strip I move north. After checking on the kids,
I sneak back into the bathroom, for the ultimate hair fighting
championship. I drop my panties and place one foot on the toilet.
Using the same procedure, I apply the wax strip across the right side of my bikini line, covering the right half of my hoo-ha and stretching down to the inside of my butt cheek (it was a long
strip) I inhale deeply and brace myself....RRRRIIIPPP!!!!
I'm blind!!! Blinded from pain!!!!....OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!!
Vision returning, I notice that I've only managed to pull off half the strip. CRAP! Another deep breath and RIPP! Everything is
spinning and spotted.
I think I may pass out.....must stay conscious...must stay conscious. Do I hear crashing drums??? Breathe,
breathe...OK, back to normal.
I want to see my trophy - a wax covered strip, the one that has caused me so much pain, with my hairy pelt sticking to it. I
want to revel in the glory that is my triumph over body hair.
I hold up the strip!
There's no hair on it.
Where is the hair??? WHERE IS THE WAX???
Slowly I ease my head down, foot still perched on the toilet. I see the hair. The ha ir that should be on the strip...it's not! I touch. I am touching wax.
I run my fingers over the most sensitive part of my body, which is now covered in cold wax and matted hair. Then I make the next
BIG mistake... remember my foot is still propped upon the toilet? I know I need to do something. So I put my foot down.
Sealed shut! My butt is sealed shut. Sealed shut!
I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do and think to myself 'Please don't let me get the urge to
poop..
My head may pop off!' What can I do to melt the wax?
Hot water!! Hot water melts wax!! I'll run the hottest water I can stand, into the bathtub, get in, immerse the wax-covered
bits and the wax should melt and I can gently wipe it off, right???
*WRONG!!!!!!!*
I get in the tub - the water is slightly hotter than that used to torture prisoners of war or sterilize surgical equipment - I sit.
Now, the only thing worse than having your nether regions glued together, is having them glued together and then glued to the
bottom of the tub....in scalding hot water.
Which, by the way, doesn't melt cold wax.
So, now I'm stuck to the bottom of the tub as though I had cemented myself to the porcelain!! God bless the man who had convinced me a few months ago to have a phone put in the bathroom!!!!!
I call my friend, thinking surely she has waxed before and has some secret of how to get me u ndone. It's a very good
conversation starter. 'So, my butt and hoo-ha are glued together to the bottom of the tub!'
There is a slight pause. She doesn't know any secret tricks for removal but she does try to hide her laughter from me.
She wants to know exactly where the wax is located,
Are we talking cheeks or hoo-ha?'
She's laughing out loud by now . I can hear her. I give her the rundown and she suggests I call the number on the side of the
box. YEAH!!!!! Right!! I should be the joke of someone else's night.
While we go through various solutions. I resort to trying to scrape the wax off with a razor. Nothing feels better than to have
your girlie goodies covered in hot wax, glued shut, stuck to the tub in super hot water and then dry-shaving the sticky wax off!! By now the brain is not working, dignity has taken a major hike and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need Post-Traumatic Stress counseling for this event.
My friend is still talking with me when I finally see my saving grace....the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax.
What do I really have to lose at this point? I rub
some on and OH MY GOD!!!!!!! The scream probably woke the kids and scared the dickens out of my friend. It's sooo painful, but I really don't care.
IT WORKS!!
It works !!' I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up. I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and
then notice to my grief and despair... THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......ALL OF IT!
So I recklessly shave it off. Heck, I'm numb by now. Nothing hurts. I could have amputated my own leg at this point.

OMGosh Lauren! I'm so sorry for my laughter...but (no pun 'cause it's only one t), but, so glad you've come undone! This does answer the question of where in the world is Lauren! Why, she's stuck to the bottom of her bathtub. You poor girl, just wanting to tidy up a bit and look what happens! Hope all is well and healing now.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope your day has been extra special and your evening even more so!
I do want to thank you for the comments on my folding screen card! I will try to do a picture tutorial and post it on my blog this weekend. Lynn L asked if I used a spellbinders die for the legs of the screen; answer is nope! I used the stampin up decorative label punch to punch only half way on the bottom of the card while it was folded to create the "legs" It really was a very easy fold to do and I'm quite pleased with it!
Maybe she was stuck there longer than she's telling us because she sure hasn't been posting a lot! LOL. I had to copy and paste her post and send it to a friend. She is in tears from laughter! Kind of reminds me of the video of the guy who left his girlfriend talk him into letting them remove his chest hair, armpit hair and back hair with that sticky stuff and strips! He screamed like a little girl...
Here's my card. I adapted the Sketch Challenge to do a fancy fold on the front of my card. There are three postings to show my card closed, opening and fully open.

Let us know when you post the tutorial! I want to make one. I thought it was the decorative label punch you used! I have that one!
Oh Oh Oh sooo interesting...watching the Nature of Things...there is a new breed which is part coyote and part wolf...and lives....in the golf course near me...I thought the footage looked familiar!
Lauren, I'm sorry we are laughing at your antics, but honestly, you write so well you should do a comedy show!!! Or a warning label for that hot wax stuff! You made me laugh out loud and I hope your pain is gone by now!

We have one in our backyard they are called Coywolfs. They are beautiful. They are a cross between a coyote and a wolf. She has been here for three years. She is quite large now but very beautiful. A few cats have gone missing, a dog or two, but only at night. I see her in the early mornings when I have coffee on the deck she truly is magnificent. Because she is a cross breed she travels on her own.

Vickie when you complete your tutorial would you post here please I would love to try my hand at one of your screens.
Thanks ladies. Thanks Diane for letting me know about my easel card works for the Ways to use it challenge too. Also, SCS decided to move my card to the easel gallery as well.
5 points up for anyone who can guess my middle name!! Limit of two guesses only and you MUST PM me with the answer and put both of your guesses in the same PM so I don't have to search.. This 5 points is available until midnight my time tonight! Lynn will be begging for the points bucket back at this rate. I will not be telling anyone if they are right or wrong until tomorrow morning....
Dea, The pattern is from a Michaels Project sheet. I tried to look it up but could not find it... I have had it for a couple of years. The measurements are 6 X 6 1/4 for the card size, if you think you can figure it out your self.... and it is scored at 2 inches and 2 1/4 from the other end. Hope that helps.

Just to show you how OCD I am, this morning I spent time sorting clothes hangers. My clothes are all now on blue hangers, DH's clothes are on black hangers, and DS's on purple! LOL All the oddball colors are going to local thrift store. I'm sure they can use them!
I know this is random, but I have a card to share. I made it quickly for my DH who requested some simple Thank You cards. After it was made, I saw it fit Sama's challenge from back on Jan 28th: Sentiment only, no image, decorated on the inside. Thanks Sama - you must have inspired me.
I know we get a point for doing a card in the same month as the challenge. The challenge was given at the end of the month, so I don't know how that works. Either way, just wanted to throw it out there.
