I would love ALL the tips anyone can give...I have my embellies separate in clear plastic shoe boxes that I buy on sale. I also have the michaels storage cubes that I have bought over time when they are 50%off. My crafting table is a 3 foot square that a nursing home was getting rid of. My new toys for Christmas was the expedit system from ikea

I totally messed up when I uploaded my cards; my little finger accidently hit enter as I was typiing the description for the outside of the card which then uploaded both cards before I could finish including the details for each photo! SO, I go back and edit both cards. THEN, I see that the inside of the card was in the paper flower gallery instead of member gallery SO I edit the inside photo again and now it only shows up with a big ole red X !!! *sigh* I'll wait a whille and then may delete it and upload the inside again.
Now, the photos seem to be okay!! Think I'll quit while I'm ahead!! LOL
Janet, how long was Dani in the hospital??? I think it was at least a week ago when I heard she was in! I was hoping she came home a long time ago and was resting up! Thanks for updates.

My kitty is not talking to me currently. We just got back from the vet's and he got three shots!
Loved that flower tutorial. I am going to give it a try later. I was glad I gave the envelope challenge last week so no one thought I stole the idea from the newsletter! LOL
Here's some organizing ideas. I will put the photos here and then come back and edit so I can tell you what is what.
Pic #1 is my SU paper in wire mesh magazine holders. I typed a list of the colors and used brads to fasten to the front of each holder.
Pic #2 is my SU ink pad holder and colored paints on top.
Pic #3 is small crates. I use them for everything, but in this picture they have 6x6 paper stacks and embossing folders.
Pic#4 is the inside of my craft table. Ribbons/yarns, threads and Big Bite
Pic #5 is my computer desk. Not always this neat. The paper in the front is my points list for this challenge!!
Pic #6 is stamp sets. SU (alpha order of course!)
Pic #7 is nesties in CD/DVD cases.
Pic #8 is my helper. He is next to a plastic container holder folders. These folders have pieces of my SU paper, according to color family. There is also a folder with templates, one with instructions and one with samples.
Oh Kathy you are sooooooo coming over to help me setup the new space...it would take me YEARS of trial and error to get even close! I thought I was doing good when I organized my spellbinders into shape groups!
This is what I have now. I like it but it does not line up with any other products out there. The cubes are smaller than michaels, so those beautiful paper containers don't fit. You know the ones that hold 12 x 12 paper. Even with that in mind I would not trade mine for anything else.

Thasnk you Marion. Those are great tips. Think your are right, put ribbon, buttons etc together. And thank you also for agreeing with me, I have such a hard time getting organized. I buy something thinking it will work, and then NOPE!!! I have so many bins and crates I don't know what to do. Some day I will post a pic of my room, but then you will all delete me after you see it. LOL

There are 3 different card classes coming up and I can't go to any of them, because I know I would spend. But the 2, I don't really care for the SU person she is so cheap and charges Waaayyyyy to much for her things she has (what are they, party things) and she keeps all the goodies. For prizes she will give away a couple brads or a tiny bit of ribbon. She is ruining her own business because so many of us said we are not going to any of them anymore. So it is not just me.
So glad someone heard from Dani and that she is doing much better.

A good demo is absolutely important. I love my demo and we've become good friends. The girl you describe isn't going to have much business if she continues they way she has been. I have card class on Saturday! It's been December since our last class because everyone was busy. Can't wait.

At the risk of sounding soooooo noobie - what is "SU?" I see you all using that, but aside from "Stuck Up" I can't imagine what it stands for!

SU is Stampin' Up. They have a website online, and we have demo's on here also. I go to a monthly card making class that my demo does. That's how I got into cardmaking.

SCS has someplace on here that you can look up some of those abbreviations. It took me a while to figure out DD was dear daughter and NOT Dunkin Donuts! IF you see DD in any of my posts it means Dunkin Donuts!!
Well...since I am sneaky I bought the Ikea bins to fir the organizer! I can put 2 rows of stamps or my embossing folders and spellbinder together....my only issue...I bout the desk to go with it...and because of the bracket to hold the desk to the unit I CANNOT get the Ikea bins into 4 slots! SILLY! But I am woking my way around it. the expedit works well with the Michaels cubes beside it..all white...out of sight!

YGB...it was in one of the Forest's swaps. They used that YGB and I had to ask and they said You goof ball! I guess it was one of their own made up ones!! My husband is learning to text and asked me last night what LOL was! I told him he is really behind the times. But at least he is texting now!
hmmmmm....maybe this could be my new career...I could happily spend hours organizing...Yes, I'm a little OCD. I always blame it on a very small house which is true but I just like having things neat and tidy. I just finished unmounting all my stamps and putting in page protectors in 3 ring binders per theme. I did leave the SU sets together so far. Am waiting a bit to see if I like the categories before I stamp them all for index. But I already love having all my stamps in 7-2" notebooks in 1 area. then I did another 3 ring binder with magnet sheets for dies....whoot!!
So maybe I could hire myself out. wonder what the going price is? And I'm really good at dumpster diving also...just took an old metal time card holder that hangs on wall out of neighbors trash. I plan to use it to put finished cards ready for iminent mailing in so I will always see it and hopefully start getting them to PO in time....just have to figure out how to fix it up as dull gray isn't my style....
oh oh there is a paint for that....oh oh what is it called.....go to the hardware store...you want an inexpensive paint to cover metal...paint it outside...they stink but are very resilient.....sheesh...there goes my 1 good idea for the year! eeeekkkkk Oh Oh Maybe I get a new one for Chinese New Year!!! I eat Chinese food...oh but it will be the year of the snake...yuck....ok..I am rambling...time to get some tea

Oh Donna Donna Donna! I'm just lurking around tonight, on and off. I've been working on stick pin holders (stick pins yet to be made) for a swap.
Yay! tomorrow is pancake breakfast day with DH! The last Thursday of every month we go to McDonalds for pancakes!! Oh, the life of retirement! Love being stress free!
Well, dang, that Donna just hired Sheri to come organize; now you know I will share Kathy if you share Sheri!! LOL I really admire all you neatnics who have a place for everything and everything in its place. Our house is good sized, but DH insists I keep my hobby contained to my craftroom! Funny story, he went on a short trip a while back, so I took advantage and had four or five projects strung all over the house! He returned a little sooner than I thought he would! I just reminded him, when the cats away the mouse will craft all over the house! hehehe

I think you should get one for Chinese New Year also..for sure...I've heard of that stuff, now if I can just decide on color....thought about white and painting flowers but then I thought of all the work and I think I just may go with flamingo pink or something equally bright....
