Not sure if it is Splitcoast or my computer, but I had a hard time getting this card to upload. Took me about an hour and 6 or 7 attempts.

I'm going to make an effort to get this challenge done earlier next week. I really don't like waiting until the last minute.

I found a tutorial for making crochet hearts that I had never done before. Here are my New Hearts.

most of the time it is splitcoast...she has her little tantrums to get the attention of the mods

Will be looking at the VSN to get ideas for myself over the summer...do you think I will finally be unpacked?

I hope you get unpacked. I still have boxes I haven't opened since I moved in 2005 - mostly knick knack stuff.

Good challenge to make a telescope card. Here's a link to the one I made in August 2011. I'll try to do something new this time.

I read your ideas and have been thinking about them. I think starting a new thread is a good idea. Perhaps list all the challenges we had in this thread and say pick one a week, tell us which it is - keep the same keywords?? Maybe less pressure to "accomplish" something every week? For some reason the idea of putting them in a different order bothered me. Just "a place to chat" over the summer sounds good. Maybe start a list of suggestions for next fall. If someone wants to try something new - or redo a favorite, it can be added to the list. Over the weeks, people will have time to come up with ideas. Then the hostesses for the fall can pick from that list - or do their own thing. Like you, just thinking aloud...

I know I have the first ones to finish and I plan to do that this summer. And I do look forward to new challenges if we can do this again in the fall.

Sorry I can't come up with any brilliant ideas. I'm more of a follower.

my only concern was to continue working over the summer wouldn't give us a break. I wouldn't want anyone to have burnout and then not want to join the new challenge in the fall.I like the idea of somewhere to chat though.

Dawn, sorry to hear this....I just had an MRI in April and just finished PT today. My next step is the pain management doc and then back to my back doc after that. My back has a herniated disc that slips and a bulging disc above that. Hope you can get back to your crafting. We miss you in the challenge!!

silly question

OK...just moved into the apartment so this will be the first summer here...but I find this place much hotter than the house....wondering if I should get a ceiling fan in the craft room. I have a floor fan in the bedroom and an ac...same in the living room

Ceiling fans do help, but they also blow your crafting stuff all over the place. Not sure a craft room (with glitter!) is a good place for a fan. Can you just open the door and allow the ac to reach you in there?

Maybe a floor tower fan, rotating in the direction away from your crafting. It will at least keep the air circulating....

Got my new GPS today. Just need to charge it now.

Wow! Prices went up some since I got mine! I went to Walmart online and didn't see the one I have, but the one nearest in price doesn't appear to have a remote. I went to the Q&A section for it where someone asked the question, "Does it have a Remote?" There were two answers. One answer says "No, it does not." and the other answer says "Yes"....so I clicked "NO" on the question "Was this answer helpful?" LOLOL

I just thought it was hilarious. There can only be one answer. It either has a remote or it doesn't. I can't believe they let the two opposing answers for that question on the website and then expect you to click on "YES" this was helpful! NOT! LOLOL I love finding silly things like that. Makes me giggle!

How about half cork half dry erase board? Then you can jot things down quickly before you forget (been there, done that) and you can also tack projects up on the cork side.

My vote: New thread in the challenges area so we can finish or redo as it suits each person; or just chatter. No new challenges, just keep a list of the current ones.
