No do not send me to the naughty step, no no not to the naughty step unless I can take my Sizzix with me..... oh and that new die I have....
Donna I put some Minties, Choc Eclairs and boiled lollies (candies) and a note, a card and some other reminders of home that they might like. I do not do this by myself, it is like Christmas Cards for the Troops, there is a website with directions on how to make them and someone co-ordinates the sending etc. I am involved locally with the Airforce Base and the family support units to help the families of defence to settle into the community while they are here. This is the craft group I go to on Wednesdays.
O what is that shining so brightly , I know it is Lauren's halo!!! What a great thing to be involved in... Shine away girl, sounds fun.
My GD, hubby and babe are leaving for Australia today. Hubby has a job in Brisbane and will be there for at least 2 years then another GD leaves in Oct. but she is not sure how long.. So had to get out the map to see just where that was... Chris the hubby works with the oil companpies. So what is the attraction Lauren what are you hiding..lol We will sure miss them but are happy for them
Will meet you there !!!!! I am getting my nose out of the door today though..Our Farmers Market is on Wed. and Sat. Fun to go to and especially to get all that FRESH produce. Do you have lots of crafters at yours too.. Ours is getting to big for the area it has so parking is an issue but still fun to go too.
I actually have started another one!!! I have a template but I should look up some on line as I think they are nicer designs.. I like the look of the solid flowers or filled in ones. Maybe try some more Christmas cards ????
I am so glad most of you are trying this new technique. It is very easy isn't it? And your cards are all so pretty. Thank you for trying it, although I really didn't think anyone would. You all are such great talented artists
I don't know Donna if I should be thanking you or being grumpy but I just pushed holes in 5 more pieces of paper,, lol.. I think my next set of Christmas cards will be paper piercing.. Have all the stuff out so may as well. AND I get to use this template I have had for ages and never used.. Thanks for the challenge.....
Marion, your family will love it in Oz, don't know what oils are doing on the east coast, but loads of oil drilling in the south and over in the west. But oil companies and refineries all over the place in the capitals. Brisbane is about 1000km north of me.
Thanks Lauren for the info.. I think Chris's( SIL) work is in the land development etc... This particular company really wanted him. They are paying for the move, 6 weeks housing so they can find a place and air fare etc.... They are looking forward to it.. Only thing they are dreading is the long plane ride with a six month old.... My Grand daughter will be looking for work in a month or two .She is a nurse so should not have a problem.....My other grand daughter who goes in Sept contacted someone about Women's hockey and they phoned her back and she almost is confirmed a spot on the team. they are pretty stoked.
LOL Marion, when I first got into these (thanks to my mom, she got me into it) I couldn't stop making them, and I had to make them in triples because 2 of my sisters wanted one of everyone I made. The best part is, you can even do them while watching tv. I have purchased alot of patterns from that site and my mom has alot also. Glad you like it. I love it when I learn something new. Hmmmmmmm maybe next I will have everyone doing Tea Bag Folding. LOL
