After work yesterday I went to a friends who lives close buy and snipped a bunch of lilac from her many trees and put them in vases throughout my house... It smells wonderful in here! I love fresh flowers.... makes me feel so cheery

I have a favor to ask......if you all don't mind? As you know my brother and sister in law just lost one of their sons, 32 years old suddenly. I have not heard yet how, we are thinking 3 things. Sleep apnea, anurisom, or heart attack. When his wife found him in the morning she thought he just looked like he was still sleeping and tried to wake him up. My brother and sister in law live in VA and far away from any family members. I know that someone who looses a loved one feels that everyone elses lives go on like normal but their pain is long and suffering and they feel the hurt every hour of every day. So.....I was wondering if anyone would like to make a "Thinking of You" card and send it to them? If so PM me and I will give you their addy. They would so appreciate that people are still thinking of them in their daily hurting.

I love the smell of lilacs too. All I smell right now is lemons! And I love that too. They put real lemons in the centerpieces. All but one of those lemons is real!!
Tell me....how do you get a bad cold in the summer time? I have never, if I remember correctly, have never had a cold in the summer. I usually get a REAL bad one in march or Feb. But NOW!!!!!! I sure hope it goes away on it's own cuz I am soooooo sick of doctors appointments and do not want to go for a cold. LOL
Thank you Deb and Dawn, I know that when they receive your cards it will give them a small break from their sorrow to oogle over your cards (because I know they will be beautiful). I can't thank you enough.
Not much chatter on here lately. Is everyone OK? Hope it is just because you are enjoying the beautiful weather outside.
Believe it or not, I finally made a card yesterday I have not been in my craft room for months. And I mean literally months. I am so proud of myself. I think all my pills are finally working together and straightening me out. LOL. Happy Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend

hello everyone, I have been a bit MIA cos I was frightened that the bugs I have a so strong they would go through the computer and you would get this flu too!!
I think I am finally on the mend, or at least feel a little better this afternoon.

Donna, prayer chain just called ten minutes ago and said she went through surgery well and is recovering. But she is one frail little lady and needs lots of prayers please! Thanks for asking.
We got all the air conditioners in place now and DH is out mowing the yard. I woke up to a cup of DD (remember my DD stands for Dunkin Donuts since I do not have a daughter!). He went out and got me one and that's how he woke me up! Good man, right?? I"ve trained him well over the past 37 years....

Well glad to see everyone is recoverng from being sick.
Trying to catch up.... had my DD and hubby here for awhile so have been busy.. have not got my card ready and although I have an idea.. wll see. They have gone for a wedding in near by town for the week end but will be back next week. Has been great though..

Finally, I could get my card using an element from a "store-bought" card uploaded! We have comcast as our provider here at home and they have been having major issues in our area this week. Here's the link if ya' wanna peek:

Went to DGD graduation today then had to go to Urgent Care right afterwards...having stomach problems...diagnosed as UTI !!! Haven't had an UTI for years and years! What's up with that?! Very miserable for sure.
All of you did such a great job this week! I'm such a slacker!! All I can say is I'm starting to be a little stressed. DS gets married in one week and I have NO clue as to any of the arrangements. I just know where I am going, and what I'm wearing, but not sure what the plans are. I do know that rehearsal is Friday night, so I will know a little more then, and if I know my son, the mother/son dance is going to make me bawl my head off! He likes to watch his mama cry! (I'll bet he'll be crying too, but he'll claim there is dirt in his eye!)
I need everyone to pray for good weather for the weekend since this is an outdoor wedding with no back up plans!! Outdoor reception as well. I went to one last summer and it POURED down rain at the very end of the ceremony and then stormed through the reception. WE got soaked and went home. Luckily I only lived two miles from the event. But I'm too old to sit out in the cold rain.
I will pray that it is a beautiful sunshiny day for the wedding. Let us know how it goes.
