Oh...I'm in trouble. I'm not sure I have a store bought card! I will have to go looking ....maybe I will find one somewhere around here. Good idea for a challenge! I've looked at store cards many time and thought...oh that would make a pretty handmade card!
Good moprning everyone... Good to see your name Donna and yes I remember you... and it is great you check in...
I am excited this morning. My daughter and hubby are on there way from Saskatckewan and should be here by noon. They haven't been out for a couple of years so... will be a great time.... Have to dash (that is a picture all on it's own to the store, yep, me and my cane Lol) to the store... just for a few things....
Location: down the road, around the corner, first house on the left
JCI to say hello; it's almost time for me leave the office and go home for the evening.
The graduation party on Sunday went very well; my DGD loved her scrapbooks.
Now, I need to get some serious crafting done...have some swaps to finish and would love to go back and pick up where I left off here with the MIU challenges. Love the challenge for this week...I just might be able to do that one this evening. Will be perfect to help get my mojo back into the swing of things!
Okay, I'm outta here (the office) until tomorrow morning! Home...here I come!
lol Dawn......Lynn's son is nicknamed Grumpy and is not really that grumpy at all. He recently had a little encounter with an axe and his hand and lets just say the axe sort of won.....he ended up having surgery and should be getting his cast off soon. Therefore the comparison to you with the mishap and your leg......now come on girl.....give us some deets!!! What the heck did you do??!! lol
Lynn, I'm not better yet at all.....went to see Doc this afternoon and orders are to stay home from work and rest....got some pills with Codine that are suppose to help my cough so I can sleep. And, holy cow have I been sleeping....lol. At least I don't sound like Minnie Mouse, right Lynn??!!! I have no time to be sick for crying out loud!!! lol. I miss all you gals so much and I really just want to be down in my craft room and playing. lol
Evening Ladies! Lynn warned me about Lauren's challenge.... I've been hunting for a store boughten card!! LOL!!! I don't know if I have any in the house! LOL!! OH How it goes against the grain to actually buy one for this challenge!!! LOL!!
Here is my story how I injured myself...I've been repainting the house. And Saturday night I was priming the bathroom walls of the main floor bathroom. Outside in the hallway was this laundry basket filled with tools and stuff for all my work. And also a metal track/bar...that the old light fixture hung on. Well, as I was cleaning up the primer stuff, I walked past it..and it hit my shin and dug, dug, dug...into my skin. Ugh.
It didn't bleed too much..but the skin sort of just split..and the lower it was, the deeper the cut. On top of that, it was about 10 years since I've had a tetanus shot. So, long story short...
After trying to use liquid bandage on it to close it up...my mom saw it on skype, insisted that I go to the Urgent Care...DH never knew I left. I lucked out..and was in and out and home in probably 90 mins or less...with 2 inches of stitches and a tetanus shot...
I came home miffed b/c the mess I left all over the kitchen (painting and bandages and used cotton balls and the hydrogen peroxide, etc, etc) was not picked up. I didn't find out until Sunday afternoon that DH thought I had gone to bed. After the commotion...of me calling to the kids for help...it got quiet. So he thought I had gone to bed with the kids.
So much for an observant hubby. I am surprised he didn't hear the garage door go up and down 2 times.
btw, I love making cards using a preprinted, store bought note card as the base. Thanks for the challenge. I need to get going on my stamping chores. I s p ent the last 2 days at a Scholastics Warehouse sale...and earned free books. Yeah. (Might have already mentioned that one!)
