Sounds good Lauren. I need to do a gatefold card yet. Went with something else for son, but I'm thinking if I choose the right stamps, I could use this for my retiring swap! Just have to think it through.
Hello all you Mix It Up ladies!!! Does anyone remember who I am??? Holy cow....what a WJIRLWIND of a week and I'm soooooo glad it's over. Never again do I want to try to squeeze in working full time, volunteering 26 hours in a week and having a Granddaughter!!! I'm WAYYYYY to old for that! My body literally went on strike Saturday night and just laid me out flat....lol. Feeling much better now and really hoping to get back in the swing of things again.....I've missed each of you soooo much!!

I have been side tracked with some mosaics, have to get back to cards methinks.... but I do love the feel of glass tiles....

I thought I had gibbled( good word don't you think) my laptop as I lost everything (I thought) but soon discovered I had not plugged it in when should..... o my the stresses of the day. and the blessings of people who come along and and help you out....

Ok this is what some friends and I have been playing with.
The first 2 are mine, the second I did the design and the lettering and flowers and on the box I did the artistic direction and guidance. Love them all.

Lauren, the mosaics are gorgeous!
I stayed home from work today; had a migraine yesterday and left work at noon; still not feeling great, but a lot better.
The scrapbook is done done done!! 60 plus pages completed in less than a month! Just one more thing to do for the books and that is to create a title to insert on the cover of each book.
Will browse the MIU gallery later today and leave some love.
Congratulations Vicky. You deserve a medal to get that all done in a month and what a treasure for the person you are giving it too.. A real gift of love.

Thank you for the lovely words about the mosaics. Depending on the amount of cutting of tiles it can take different times. The box was all precut glass tiles and took about an hour for each side,
The trivots that were patterns took about 2 hours as each glass tile needed to be cut or shaped to fit the space.
It can be time consuming, but I love it.
I have a big box of coloured glass pieces out in the shed that I bought from someone who did leadlighting and I want to try it to cover a couple of pipes (about 3 feet long with a diameter of 18inches) Iwant to use them to hold dead branches like twisted willow and thin bamboo canes for decoration. sounds strange, but I am sure it will be fairly speccy!! Some people think I am a bit crazy.

I just wanted to say to everyone that I am sorry I have been MIA lately... I've had a ton or crazy stuff going on so I have been kinda sitting in the back row licking my wounds but I am determined to overcome and get back into the game!!! Yup, i'm putting my big girl pants on and persevering!!! lol!!!

JCI to say hello; I am feeling better and am at work today. TGIF!
My MIL is coming for the weekend arriving tomorrow so I won't be on much this weekend. DGD is coming on Sunday so we will spend the day with her and give her the graduation gifts. She said she is excited to receive the scrapbook! I took pictures of each page and will begin posting them on my blog sometime soon.
I would be up for posting a challenge if there is space!
Our pool opens today....in our neighborhood. Ugh...that means bathing suit time. IT's good...summer is here. It's bad..why didn't I cut back on treats, sugar, second helpings and lying about all winter! haha

I'm heading to the cabin this weekend, but not leaving till tomorrow morning......soooo, I'm really, REALLY hoping to get down into my craft room to play tonight. I think I kinda remember how to get down there.......I'm in need of some serious crating therapy!!!! lol

me.. I went for groceries.. got home left my cart in the condo. sooooo had to go up get it, back down get groceries and back up .. then GD came picked me up for lunch. after we walked to Tim's for an iced coffee about a half block and back and here I am home.. does that count .. I think so...
