another Friday morning ladies...are we excited? My parents were to visit us last weekend, but got sick. Then this weekend.... And Dad has to work. What a bummer!
altho, sh has an all day scout training this Saturday, so I can craft on the weekend, yeah me!

Yep, Dawn, I'm excited it's Friday...end of the work week; going to all day craft class tomorrow with an upside of having a stamp/scrap store just across the driveway of the class location(shop shop shop!); then, hustle on Sunday to get 2 days domestic chores done in one day!
Donna, I'm not sure what your April 9 "announcement" is, but if it's kinda sad for you, then I'll be sad with you.

I wanted to let everyone know that Sam has been in the hospital since Sunday with blood clots in her legs. She is in high spirits, yet isn't able to go home. She is hoping they will release her this weekend.
If you are able to, lets flood her mailbox with get well cards!! If you are like me, I am sure you have a card (or 2, or even 3 LOL) to spare!

you know yesterday I was a +10 in energy and mobility...today I look like a 90 year old...someone decorate me up a walker! Ohh and a pretty harness for Kerra...she dragged me today.

Bargain of the day!!!! Our little cardmaking group (a whole three of us!) will be partying for the one's birthday in May. We were trying to figure out what to get her when I remembered a friend trying to sell her barely used Big Kick. So I emailed and for $50 I got the Big Kick (like new) a Spellbinders scalloped ovals nestabilities, new tan mats, and about five embossing folders still in their packs!!! So the other friend is splitting the cost and we are giving May birthday girl all of this!! I even have a set of brand new acrylic plates that I will replace the other ones, even though they hardly look used. I am thinking she will be thrilled...

This is the friend I mentioned the other day who quit her job because of anxiety/panic issues. I'm hoping it will be a lift for her. I know with no job, she wouldn't be able to get the Big Kick and those accessories were a great selling point. I tried to figure up what I would have paid for all of that and it came to over $162 before taxes. Even if you figure the Big Kick with 50% off coupon, it still would have been about $112 and I only paid $50 (well $25 because my other friend is splitting it with me!) I'm so excited and her birthday isn't until May!!! Will probably give it to her the first weekend in May at our regular SU class.
My plan was to spend the day in my craft room, but I'm heading over to my DS's house in a bit to show him how to hang his doors in the bedroom they made in their basement.....kids! Whose idea was it to have these little buggers anyway?! Lol
I spent at least an hour on this card for my niece's bridal shower. It is way out of my comfort zone to do so many layers. What do you think? Is it good enough to give her or should I try again?
I guess I am paying for two good weeks of fun...oh well. Today will be the dreaded laundry if I xan manage the stairs...and of course time in the homer hole. Grumpy is off with the car....is it cause he doesn't want me to drive????nope..just so he's not late to work....LOLOLOLOLOL
Good to see you all crafting and chatting this morning.. I woke up with a great head cold and feel like head is not cooperating with my body... so had my breakfast and went back to bed to warm up... so will see what happens now!!!!
