Sorry Lauren, I have an earache (haven't had one of those since childhood) and a headache,and a bad chest cold (not to mention typoitise). Otherwise I would have been here this morning. I want to thank you all, I do feel somewhat better now, almost over the hump (if you know what I mean). Almost done shopping, teeny, tiny tree up and the wreath I made but that is as far as I am going. Thank Goodness it's friday, maybe I can rid my house of all these kid germs that have now turned into adult grandma germs.
Anyway thank (dang typoitise) you all for your kindness and I will try and be on more. Wouldn't want Lynn becoming a nucience to Lauren, now would we? Te He
Ok, I have a 5 year old grandson, he is such a sweet child. Very easy to please. I have no idea what to get him for Xmas. He loves to draw and color but I have everything for that, crayons, markers, colored pencils, coloring books, coloring/drawing paper. He is just not into the things his 3 year old brother is into. What do I get him. I did get him legos and a monopoly game and some small toys but I really need to get him one more thing. They love WII and PS3 and that stuff but I don't have it at my house and don't intend too. Their dad has all of that and I have no idea what games they would like. I got my GD an art set because she loves to draw also. Maybe I should get him something similar. But can't see doing that, when I already have everything. What to do, What to do!!!!!!
Playdough, I have. Pipe cleaners, to do what with? But I could get him more Playdough. he does like that. ANd maybe some parts to do with it so he can make things with it. ??????????? Still not sure. But thanks for the ideas.
Had a rough night. I think I caught what the girls have. I'm sneezing and snorting up a storm. I rarely catch a cold, but when I do, it's usually a doozy. This morning I had tons of cookies to make. Almost done with them. I am waiting til DH gets home because he makes awesome peanut butter cookies and I don't feel like mixing up any more. I've made 5 dozen peanut butter cup cookies (small tart tins with peanut butter cookie, then you top it with a peanut butter cup). Another 5 dozen hershey kiss peanut blossoms. Now on my 4th dozen of chocolate chip/peanut butter chip cookies and still have at least two more dozen of those to go into the oven. I am being very good and not eating a lot, but perhaps that comes from not feeling the best....

I decided to mix up the peanut butter cookies yet. I'm a glutton for punishment....I'll probably end up with 25 dozen when I am finished. Sure glad they won't be hanging around here or I would be in sugar shock!!
Putting on the hazmat suit...going to help Kathy to bake and eat cookies...stealing some for everyone else!

But I got up...got grumpy his winter boots, got my meds...we are trying a NEW sleep med to see if I sleep...then grabbed a chicken for lunch. I should check in on him...BUT...hhhmmm safer if I stay away
Lynn, make sure you grab alot for me, I love homemade cookies. ANd yes, stay away from grumpy. Safer that way, because you WILL get it sooner or later unless you are spraying and wiping things down constantly. Which I could not do with two little ones. My gosh I am surprised they don't have green hair. LOLOLOL Oh that just sounds gross doesn't it. But I swear, they touch everything including me all the time. I couldn't keep up.
Now, who can I steal Christmas cookies from?..........Wonder if my sister is going to make any this year. She always does but some times she is stingy.

Girls I am so sorry you are not feeling so well, but you can keep it. I do not wish to be unwell for Christmas thank you very much.
All this baking sounds so good, and it is great to hear about it and how different we are in our traditions. Here it is hot, so we tend to have no baking much at all. Lots of fruit and nuts (well we all knew I was a nutty fruit cake) and salads and seafood, prawns (shrimp).
Love the summer fruits, almost overdose on watermelon and mango, my favourite.
you can get a sugar high from them too you know.... and a funny tummy
Lookie what I made for grumpy based upon the tutie mentioned- used red cardstock, petals a plenty embossing folder an ornament punch..an embellie and I used elastic string to keep it closed....if I was doing it over...I would just try and emboss excluding the middle...probably score first and work around it

well I am tooooo....I just made a different one I like better for grumpy...embossed just the bottom with northern flurry , inked over it in white, inked the front edges in white, much easier to fold!
