Hi Marion! Well it was 2 classes and it was on copics and coloring.... I have some copic markers but I never have learned how to use them. I didn't teach that part, but I designed the cards around the images and I taught how to put the cards together and it was fun. Everyone said they had a really good time and they asked when we would be doing our next class so that's a good sign I have the cards we made posted on my blog (because I had them made prior to the class so everyone would know what they were signing up for)

that sounds fun.. I love coloring using warercolor pencils or my distress inks. even the alcohol inks but I have not used the copic markers....i would like to learn I always color so dark when i use that kind of marker.. so i know there is a technique to tone them down.. Have a good sleep after the lng day.. nighty night

WOW Lisa, no wonder I missed you!!! So pleased you had fun, we all knew you would. You can tell us more tomorrow if you are around!!

Hey Dawn, looking forward to that new pic. And making backgrounds is easy, with paints or watercolours or any markers, (anything that colours really), by brush or wash or spray, over a gesso covered page, or stamping or sticking stuff down, adding anything (a lot like smashing!!. ) So much fun.

Decorated Background Papers This webpage just gives you a whole heap of decorated pages, love them all!!

Choose any tutorial or project listed in the Resource Section and make something following the directions there. For those of you who donít know how to get there, go to the top right of the screen right above your username and click on resources. Browse through the resources (there are 45 pages!! So donít say that you canít find something to make!) Choose any project in there, create your own, post a picture and please tell us what technique or project you chose so we can maybe find it later and try one of our own. It would be nice if you could post a link to the one you chose, but please at least post the name of it and a picture. Enjoy the challenge. Iím looking forward to what you all create. Hereís my first sample. I used this from the resource section: punch around the page card.
Good morning!

Great challenge Kathy! Will work on it today and tomorrow; will try to incorporate it with some swaps I need to do.

I did Dawn's Friday challenge which was a Crimped Envelope Card found in the resource section so I guess I'll need to figure out something else for this challenge. Off I go to check out the Resource Section.

I would use score tape. And maybe a little liquid glue around the edges if you want. If you want a decoupaged look, go for the glue though. Clear as mud???

I chose to do the grid technique. I'll add a link after I've posted and uploaded my card. I used glossy paper which is thicker to imprint the score lines and used my MS board at 1/2" intervals. I sponged with three earthy colors and used my nesties for the sentiment (which was also sponged). The technique can be found here:

You're right Lauren. I totally forgot!!! I'll have to remember to thank her when she gets back.

I saw Lisa somewhere I think, but I can't remember where!!!

I'm off to try and make flowers. It's my first attempt so we'll see how it goes!!! I haven't decided what to do for this swap yet. I must look at the resourses and decide!!

Wow! This is gorgeous Lynn! (Or should I say it's ugly and you MUST send it to me right away! LOL Will that work?) I never noticed that technique before. That's why I thought this would be a good challenge. I've learned something new already.

Okay, I am breaking my own rule, temporarily....I'm heading out the door and want to post another project I finished up last night, but I've just skimmed through all 45 pages and somehow missed the tutorial. So I'll post the pictures now and come back and find and add the link later today. Sorry, this is what happens when DH is standing over my shoulder saying "let's go."...

OKay, so I took one quick look and Yep...page 1. Accordian Card!

thats Ok, Tell us what you bought Kathy posted the challenge last night. You hav to pick something from the resources. You can choose to make anything you want from there, just make sure to tell us what it is you choose to do. Post a link if you know how. (this part may be a challenge in itself for me, LOL)

Post a link, huh. I better figure that one out, lol.

I bought a bunch of nice stamps. This store we went to had a lot of bare rubber stamps and it was at good prices! Now my friend needs to mount them for me on ez-clling. I also got my friend to buy a new punch system to share with me, haha. (I love her). I am such an enabler. She is gonna teach me how to mix pear-ex so I bought cool containers to mix them in, we will make 36 colors, how cool is that.I have never used it before so this will be fun!!!! I also got a bunch of prima flowers (recolections) because they are on sale for 50% off at micheals, he also was nice and gave me another 15% off my stuff. We had a great time!

I love the sound of your puchases, they will be yummy to play with. I love getting new things, is fun and exciting. Have fun playing.
Maybe it was my smile, but I think he just wanted me out of the store they were closing. Lol.

I don't know where to start with playing with new thing. Just loking and admiring right now.

Laura,

What size is the base of your card that you use? I don't thing it's an A2?

Also to get pretty hat pins with the triple pearls on them I had to order from UK, it got here pretty quick though and I love it. Could not find pretty ones here.

I have 2" ones but I see people using longer ones. Do you have some of the longer ones?

Hi Lauren, How are you this evening?

We were at a Michael's out of town once and between the three of us we spent over $500, I said to my sister in front of the clerk, "Oh darn, we forgot to grab coupons before we came" and the clerk just smiled Not extra for us old ladies. LOL

Michaels have the plain ones in the Jewely Findings department, but for the pretty one everyone seems to be using I had to order off ebay and only a UK gal had them.
