I was thinking two but whose counting, I can't keep up with the chatter and work all day so I am staying away. My French exam is scheduled for November 25, 2013, prayers please that I can focus. Passing will be my own doing I just need to focus on the studying.

Kathy 10 am, seriously I am so jealous, I have not slept past five in my life.

You can do it Dea!

Don't be jealous. I was awake on and off during the night, so it wasn't a good sleep. I just didn't want to crawl out of bed.

If you are looking for a cat, I know that my daughter would gladly part with hers today! When we went out for a walk to the park, she peed on stairs! She's done it before. She just hasn't reconciled to having a baby in the home.

Lots of goings on today while I was in Toronto.
Dea, tu est tres intelligent, and totally capable of studying and retaining the French you are learning! You will make it a high priority and will pass with flying colours!
Lynn, you are doing well with your pedometer. Keep it up.
Marion, your quilled snowflakes are beautiful. I've done a tiny bit of quilling and I know that you put a lot of work into them. Kathy, you commented that you had considered trying to quill, but didn't get supplies. A couple of years ago, a friend dragged me along to a garage sale, saying a lady was getting rid of a lot of SU supplies. She had a box full of quilling supplies, including a $45 instruction and pattern book, the board and lots of papers, for only $15. I couldn't leave that alone. So I taught myself to do a bit of quilling, but haven't looked at it for ages.

ACMoore got quilling supplies in and I almost bought some, but I am waiting it out to see if I am still interested in a few months. Too many times I've spent money on things I never used and I have decided to not do that anymore. If I could find some at yard sales or in thrift stores, I might give it a try, but not spending anything at the moment until I decide if I will ever use it again.

You have to have a lot of patience for quilling... Every little circle has to be rolled and glued then once you have them done you glue them together. I used to do quite a bit and have lots of paper left so it was kind of fun to get it out again.....

Every year my Christmas decorating gets less and less.....it's just not as much fun now that the DS's are grown. DH and I don't get gifts for each other. We just get what we want throughout the year.

Wasn't it a glorious day today? I sat on my little front patio to have my lunch. Took off my sweater to get some Vitamin D from the sunshine. Didn't do any crafting today though and I need to make a birthday card for my niece.
Kathy, I haven't decorated in my own house since 2008. Just put up a wreath on the front door.

Shhhhh, don't tell anyone, no really I have been working on the cards since the group started, I just never got them finished or uploaded. I allow myself at least four hours every weekend to play - this is a priority, if I didn't I would go crazy, my job is stressful and takes 60 hours a week from my life, my french takes about 40 hours, then there is house work and meals. We are doing everything we can not to eat out or eat packaged food so the cooking is taking some time but we are both feeling better.

Wow Dea, my hat is off to you! You really do get a lot accomplished! 60 hours a week? That's a pretty intense job! My job never took more than an average of 40 hours a week. Of course, I worked them all in a row (7 nights on and 7 nights off) that's why I am averaging. I sometimes wonder if I retired too soon, as I still feel capable, but last year, I had two new grandsons and they were actually in Ontario, as opposed to the three in Texas, so I wanted to spend time with them.
And I was really jesting...... you NEED to spend time decompressing and creating.

Thanks for all the love on my cards Ina. You have grand children living in Texas, I am sorry it is so hard when they live so far away, my grand kids live in Edmonton, I only get to see them a couple of times a year. I am hoping to see them in December. My grandson was born October 8, 2013, my son texts me a picture every couple of days. He is so darn cute. My GD turned 7 on October 20th, as a big sister she is the best, she calls me on the weekends and talks to me while playing with Odin, it is so funny to listen to her mother him.

Well, I am off to the US to pick up our mail, send out some packages and buy pop. I love Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper and we don't get it here. I don't drink much of it, but it is nice to have in the house when I want it.

Ina I sent you the instructions for the water.

Good morning ladies! Have my idea for next week's challenge. Now to find the time to do a sample!

I personally think the prize drawings for HYCCT is drawn out WAY too long! I, too, am staying away from the thread since I find it frustrating. Not sure if I'm alone feeling this way or not.....

Dea- your cards are great. Left some love...
Lynn you had an ambitious morning...
I am just getting going.. My Christmas card stiff comes out to the living room table today. so will start on some serious card making.. I will feel so much better when it is done. I have several sets of note cards done. Just simple cards that I give as small gifts that are easy to pop in the mail. My family like those so is a quick little gift.
We have lots of snow on the mountains.. Just rain in the valley. so it is still rather dreary. Well Hope you all have a great day..... one step at a time..
