This the card I made for a friend to give to his wife for their fiftieth Wedding Anniversary, they are on the Orient Express on their way to Venice, Italy to celebrate, lucky people.
The second photo is of the inside of the card.
Thank you so much Debbie, I was so worried, making a card for a friend to give to his wife, it's so personal as I don't really know his wife, looking forward to him coming back to hear if his wife liked it.
Actiually both the cards, I thought, was better inside, I will show the inside of mine tomorrow.
I finally uploaded a few pictures of my dad's photo album i made for his birthday early this month. I didn't upload all of the pictures since each page was made the pretty much the same way.... a piece of dp and a picture.
Here's the card I made for my DGD who will be turning 10 on Sunday. I had to make it real simple since sneezing does not go well with scissors and adhesives. My allergies are so bad that 2 pills hasn't done any good.
I have other cards to upload, but skipped ahead to one I finished today. It is for a "fall challenge" for a scenic group that I'm in. It will be used as a birthday or encouragement card when I can bear to part with it.
I have sent 6 birthday cards in September. I also sent 2 get well cards and one sympathy card, as well as 6 encouragement cards to ladies in my S.S. class. I still have to make my August and September CCC12 Christmas cards. I see some CAS Christmas cards in my future.
Thanks for the kind words, Debbie.
I wish my Dad were still around as I know he would like the scenic cards I've been making. Of course My Mom would too, but she liked everything I did. Isn't funny how so many years later (20 for Dad and 9 for Mom) I'm still wanting to share things with them ... or maybe looking for their approval? I so often picture my Mom and I at her kitchen table making cards even though she died before I discovered stamping.

I hear you, Val. My dad would have cared less but my (step) Mom would have been meeting new people on the computer, visiting half the night. At 72 she was still my assistant Girl Scout troop leader and would play Nintendo (Tetris was her game) when she couldn't sleep at night. Yeah, she'd have loved stamping and making cards. She taught me to make my very first cards when I was 9 - long before stamping was being used the way it is today.
I just stopped in to let you know I"ve not forgotten about you. Bob was home the middle 2.5 weeks of this month. Y'all know when he's home I'm on the computer very little. Our time together is just too important to us.
My freelance business is kicking into high gear and I honestly don't have enough hours in the day.
I'll be looking for someone to pick this thread up for next year. I have to cut 'management duties' in a lot of areas.
Kelly, My whole family was into arts, crafts & hobbies of one kind or another. It was my Dad who got me started making cards on the Commodore 64 computer that he gave me ... was that in the 70s?! He was more "artistic" but my Mom excelled in needlework. My daughter is also a crafter and is teaching crafts to her boyfriend's daughters.

I'm here to leave love - finally. Bob took me off for a pre-birthday day on Monday, I had Tue to catch up business, Wed/ Thurs I fought with storms and being hacked not once but twice! Really messed up a couple computer items I'm still fighting with.
Contest entrees have to be postmarked by tomorrow and still have 1 short story to finish. Glad I had a good nap. LOL
Here is an Anniversary card I need for September I was inspired by some of the DTGD challenges.
Here is Blue and Pearls.
Sharon
Left love for this one when you posted it to the 'christmas thread' hehe Still pretty card... and for the layout, I see multiple occasions. Very pretty.
I did get the album finished and even took pictures of each page. I was going to upload them tonight, but decided to wait until later this week. I may not upload each page. I didn't put any embellishments on the book or the pages. I had to keep it very simple or Dad would have had a very hard seeing the pictures. He loved it. He was smiling the whole time he looked at it. We would visit for a while, then he'd pick it up and look at it again. I made the album so I can add more pages as I get new pictures.
Awww how sweet. The best gift is the smile we get in return for our efforts. Hugs!
Here´s my card for the challenge set by Vikkijo, I´m not keen on yellow on cards so Ive used that on my card, I´m not too good at dry embossing either so Ive used that technique for the background, Quite enjoyed doing it actually,
She turned out lovely, Jan. left love and gave you credit.
No cards from me yet! We worked on the yard and house all Labor Day weekend. This weekend we are going on a backpacking trip. Yep, time to visit the bears again! This time we are taking our 90 pound retriever. (Bears don't like dogs.) I'm not too excited about carrying a 30 pound pack for 8 miles and sleeping on the ground. Yes, the dog carries her own pack. She carries her food and water. The scenery is supposed to be spectacular and the fishing is trophy size. (It better be...!)
Hope the trip was lots of fun! I need to hike more and we have awesome trails here.
It's been ages since I uploaded any cards, but I have been making them. I just finished an 11-card set of OSWs and it took me hours to edit the photos and upload all of them plus a few more recent card. I've still got a few cards I need to edit/upload, but I'm too tired tonight.
I've only got 5 birthdays for September, but have already sent a few get well cards. I still need to make August & September Christmas cards. Sorry about this being such a long list of new cards in my gallery.
Left lots of love, Val. I love how you stamped on the bird punch. I was recently gifted with that punch.. now I have another idea for it. Thanks!
I've not forgotten about the OSW challenge. I've picked out the paper and I need to do up several 'fall' cards. I just can't find enough hours in the day. Can you purchase time somewhere? Hehehe
Well, here is another card for September. It's already been sent off to a former member of our church, a little Dutch lady, who has moved to a retirement community.
For the AOCC12Q challenge, to use my least favourite colour....orange, although pink comes a close second!
Left love and gave bonus credit, Ina. Lovely card for her.
Even though the two following cards are Christmas cards, I used Debbie's challenge for this week, to feature 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'.
Left love and gave credit, Ina. Great interpretation of the challenge.
Managed to make a birthday card for a friend today, cheated a little as my friend bought me some Wellington bear card toppers as a gift so I used one for the first card, the second card is for the challenge, something blue is the background, something old is a piece of card already embossed weeks ago and the oval cut a while ago, new is the digi stamp.
Pretty card, Jan. Thanks for playing in the challenge. I've left love and gave credit. Maybe I should have waited before mailing your S2S envelope
I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread. Have to go back and read, and look at gallery and comment!
Thank you for the congrats on our anniversary. Here is an 80th card I need to get in the mail. I used Debbie's challenge to inspire the card. It is also for Vicki's "least favorite embellishment/tools" challenge. I can't find the keyword for that. Anyway I used eyelets just for her! I hate doing them, and I have thousands!
Sharon
left love and gave you credit for both challenges, Sharon.
Diane, some of the smoke might have been from some of your fires, but we've had lots around the state.
I made it through the weekend of library workshops. I never did make a card for my challenge. Last week was so stressful. DH is on the mend. He's still uncomfortable but he's being a good boy and leaving the packing in his nose. he just needs to hang in there for 4 more days. I'm really hoping I'll be able to get back into a somewhat normal routine this week.

The second photo is of the inside of the card.
Jan, this is gorgeous! What a sweet thing for you to do. yep, very lucky couple. Such a romantic, that one.
I finally uploaded a few pictures of my dad's photo album i made for his birthday early this month. I didn't upload all of the pictures since each page was made the pretty much the same way.... a piece of dp and a picture.
The album is beautiful, Debbie. What I love most is that you used your own handwriting to journal. So many would have missed that personal touch.
Here's the card I made for my DGD who will be turning 10 on Sunday. I had to make it real simple since sneezing does not go well with scissors and adhesives. My allergies are so bad that 2 pills hasn't done any good.
Pretty card and perfect for her. Left love and credited you for challenges.

Left love, Val. CAS cards are perfectly okay. That's what they're there for
Yeah! I'm all caught up! Now if my own cards had gotten made this month LOL. Thankfully Bob's is already made for next month - now to find where I put it
Well Im a little confused but here´s my something old, something new challenge, I didnt actually post a thread last time, just hope its in the right place!!!
