You are so very welcome. I am going thru the thread now and looking at everyone's cards and such. I really hope this doc can at least get the headaches under control cuz I truly enjoy spending a couple of hours in the Alphabet Challenge thread on a daily basis. With the headaches it has been hard because the computer seems to make them feel worse. But if I were able to come in here everyday and spend the couple of hours that I like then I would be on top of everything...kwim??? So...you and whomever else made a card will be getting 2 extra points since I took so long to look at them. So what are you doing for your birthday?
Ok ladies, I have all points written down now all I need to do is get them into the gallery and post your updated points. I am going to repost this week's letter with the post I normally use along with the W wall of fame. I do need to tell Lauren....sweetie... I can not tell you the prize you silly girl and Kathy what I meant by my SCS shift is I am a gallery moderator. Everyone that made cards for last week's letter, thank you!!!! Wow y'all made awesome cards!!!! I am seeing a few W cards already too. I need to make mine yet. Well ladies...I need to go get ready for the doctors so....I will come back out here as soon as I can and finish posting. It was sooooo nice to finally get to spend some time in here. Yay!!!!!! I love yall. All of you that are not feeling well I do hope you are feeling better soon. Huggs to all!!!!!!!!!!

My birthday / anniversary present is that my DH & I are leaving with another couple for a cruise! We will be leaving from Norfolk, VA (not far from where I live) and spending a week on a Carnival ship. THe trip goes to Nassau for 2 days, & then we will go to Freeport, Bahamas on the return trip. Should be fun!!
I hope I can pop on / off SCS while I'm on board. I'm working on the "W" card, will have it posted before we leave. I probably won't be able to do next week's letter challenge, though...

Happy Birthday to Lynn and Janet, Sorry if they are late.
My friend is still here with us and we are having a good time. Sure will miss her when she leaves. My DH and I are planning a trip back east for next week to pack up Mom's apartment and attend her funeral. yesteday, Mom's nurse said Mom has about a week or less. but the kicker to this is, my sisters have not had any contact with our mom even tho they know mom is in palative acre. Thanks for listening, and that is enough complaining.
You beauitifful ladies convinced me to post my "ugly" card. I will once I have a W card done.
Yesterday, we woke up to snow on the ground and to today it is somewhere around the
-10C here. Have to dig out my winter snuggies. LOL!!! I really don't mind this weather, (maybe if I repeat it enough times I will believe it ) My girlfriend did not bring any winter clothes with her. Poor thing.
Everyone have a beautiful day and keep smiling, you never know you could be on Candid Camera (remeber that).

I'm glad we convinced you to post your card and I look forward to seeing it, along with your W card.
It's hard to believe that there is cold and snow anywhere, as we're cooling off into the 90's over here.
My sympathies to you for the passing of your mother. It's good that you were able to go visit her before she was gone. I was able to do the same with my mother before she passed. Your sisters missed out and they may or may not realize that later. Hang on to your good memories. Be glad for the time you had together.
I'll keep smiling, as you suggested. I remember Candid Camera! What a show! It's funny to see the reruns now.

Aww, thanks. I'm still snorting, blowing, and in general feel lousy. Ear still plugged, headache is worse...sheesh! I don't ever remember feeling this yucky for this long.
Susan, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. How hard that must be for you. Your sisters will realize one day, probably too late, but....... one day. I am so glad you got to spend time with her.
Well we had snow in Ozzieland yesterday, Canberra and Adelaide of all places, that place is like the Mediterranean.....
So how funny to have a very cold Autumn in your place Susan and a cold snap here in October after the warmest September for over 60 years.... is this climate change??
I am thinking on my W card girls, so watch this space....

Wow, what a fun birthday/anniversary trip! Janet - have a great time on your cruise! We just went on a short one this past summer. Took the kids and they had a blast. We're hoping to save and save and save up for a longer cruise as a family vacation. (That means cutting back on buying stamping supplies! Can I do it??) I'll be interested to know how you enjoyed your cruise. Hope it's a great time for you and your DH and the couple going with you. Tell us all about it. Have you done a cruise before? Enjoy!

Yes, I have been on cruises before.
1st time - my mother & I left port in Newport News on a cruise to Bermuda. A week long cruise - was before I got married - and I loved the trip! Only problem - we hit a Nor'easter when we were coming back, & even with the Transdermscopalamine patches behind my ears, I got sick!
1st time with my DH - on our 2nd anniversary we took a weekend-long cruise form Miami to Nassau & back. Funny thing - after the cruise started, we found it to be a "swinging singles" cruise. Not happy with the cruise.
About 4 years ago, we (my DH & I) went on one with Primerica Financial Services - left port in Tampa Fla, went to Cayman Island, then to Mexico (went on archaeological tour), then back to Fla. LOVED that cruise!
I see I'll have to get Terry to do some more things to get ready for this trip...
Can you tell I like the water? I have lived near the water my entire life, and we have large Naval Bases near us.

Oh I am soo sorry Susan. I know this will sound bad but I hope it is quick and painless. You have been there for your mom and you know in your heart that it was the best thing to do. Take comfort in knowing you were there for her. I hope this is a simple process...though of course very hard on you. Treasure your memories.

Ok...I don't think I read this right??? Janet is going on a swingers cruise???
NO - I'm NOT going on a "swingers cruise"!!
We went on one about 16 years ago - by accident. Terry was SO
proud of getting us on a cruise (he was surprising me!), but he didn't know it was a Swinging Singles cruise. We found out after we had left port. Thank goodness it was a weekend cruise (we didn't have too long on that cruise).

I won't post til tomorrow tho because no decent lighting at night!!! Same goes for my "W" card, will have to post tomorrow. My pics never turn out good when I take them at night for some reason.
Is there a cheese that you like Lynn? I used to eat a lot of Gouda cheese when I was a teenager, and really like to get smoked Gouda cheese!
And I've had sandwiches with Brie that were good!

Good Morning Friends!
TGIF!
... ♥ ... ♥ ... ♥ ...
Today is Gumbo Day, International Moment of Frustration Scream Day, Free Thought Day, World Egg Day,
and Farmer’s Day.
Enjoy your holiday of choice today!
Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us that MISTAKES HAPPEN!
A couple was arranging for their wedding, and asked the bakery to inscribe the wedding cake with "1 John 4:18" which reads "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear."
The bakery evidently lost, smudged or otherwise misread the noted reference, and beautifully inscribed on the cake "John 4:18" ..."for you have had five husbands, and the man you have now is not your husband."
FYI – My life is swamped these next few days – I’m speaking at two totally different conferences next week (and the preparations are not complete) – so there’s a good possibility I will not post another Public Service Announcement until next Tuesday.
