I just thought of you - I'm sure you get tired / hot with the yard work, & you would like a cold lemonade!
Take it easy! The branch didn't hit your home, correct?
Thanks for understanding. No, the branches didn't come down on my house. Luckily they are all on the east side and the storms usually blow in from the west and go eastward. so they toppled over into an open yard. Didn't hit anything, but very large and very hard to bring them down to cut them up. Still not sure what we are going to do...just know we are NOT walking underneath the trees for now.
Location: down the road, around the corner, first house on the left
Here's my L card (haven't started Dani's Lamp dare challenge card yet; that's next!) OOPS! I realized I don't know the challenge keyword this week so I used ALPHA403, but can change it as soon as I try to find what to use!
Hello my beautiful AlphaQueens. I am sorry it took me so long to get in here today. It's been one of those mornings. Before I reply to everyone's posts I have an announcement to make:
I am going to add something to the Dare Challenges. If you dare someone and they can not do your dare; you can dare someone else to the same dare (you must stay with the same item). When you get someone to accept and complete that dare BOTH you and the one completing the dare will get DOUBLE POINTS.
For Example:I dare Vickie to make a card with a "Llama" on it. Vickie declines my dare. So then I double dare Marney to make a card with a "Llama" on it. Marney accepts my dare and completes it. Now Marney and I both get 2 points for that dare instead of 1. This will be called our DOUBLE DARE
I am keeping a list (in a notebook not on here) of what items people are putting on their cards. This way....if you want to dare someone something but you want to make sure that item hasn't been used already you can just ask and I will look it up.
Ok ladies...now I can comment about posts.....Janet, thank you for putting a list up of people that have done dares. I want EVERYONE to remember you can dare ANYONE. And Janet, you are welcome for the card, I am glad you received it. Montana, thank you for accepting my dare....can't wait to see what you come up with. Donna, love the card. I love purple and you made it look so elegant. I also see that you dared Marion to do some leaves and she accepted. Yay!!!! Susan, I had to laugh about the card sticking when DH tried to take it out of the envelope only because I could picture Ron in that same situation. Also, love your lollipop card. Great job!!! Kathy, I am so sorry about your yard. I am glad to hear you are okay tho. If you have to work outside in heat please make sure you drink lots of water or gaterade. Also love your leaping lizard card. Lynn and Vickie I also love your cards. For everyone that made cards I left love on them all. If you DO NOT see love from me PLEASE tell me.
Are you all surprised that I finished before Tues night?
I am still working on my DARE card, Dani. I hope to finish it this evening.
Montana, AWESOME card. And how awesome that you finished it so quickly. You have fun at the Celtic Fair. It sounds like a good time. I love Irish dancing. Have fun but be safe. I am looking forward to seeing how you arrange your lilacs....
TFL - Having way too much fun with this - Where is that maid I dreamed for the other day?
And I dare DANI to made a card with lattice on it. Am I suppose to PM her now to let her know? Do you accept?
I would love to accept your DARE....however, can you please explain what a lattice is? I think I know but I don't want to make a card with what I think it is and then be wrong...altho that would have been funny
