And tomorrow is Black Friday - all that CRAZY shopping!! I plan on staying home, I MAY go to the JoAnn's that is almost 1/4 mile from my house to see if they have something, but probably will order anything online!!

you know I really should get out more often. Got my birthday pressie today! Then took my friend shopping and she got me my Christmas pressie....now tomorrow I go out and get the cleaner I wanted for my birthday...which is now on sale...and get her birthday and Christmas pressie.. Then Monday on her birthday I will take her to Swiss CHalet...ahhh traditions!

Janet I am doing just fine. Our DD did my nails for me this afternoon, gel nails, dark purple with with swirls. I really like them. Oh yeah, there is some sparkle on my nails too. How are you doing?

LOL!!!! Silly mascot and rider. Toronto is not allowing the horse in the arena, too bad. The horse runs down the side line when Calgary scores. Very cool to watch the horse run, very majestic.

I'm not going to join the crazies and go out at 5am. I may go to JoAnn's before noon - their specials go 6am to noon. I don't really need anything - but always can buy some more craft supplies!!

I'm OK - my DH took me out for a REALLY nice lunch today - it was much better than eating a huge turkey for just the 2 of us! Terry's brother was going to try to come down from NY & join us, but he had an emergency come up at work, so hopefully, Sydney will come down before Christmas to visit!

I plan on getting some projects done this weekend. And there are only a couple of things I'm interested in that they have at JoAnns - I might get there tomorrow if the traffic isn't CRAZY!!

And I remember the cartoon of a Mountie I saw as a young girl - Dudley DoRight - it used to be on Bullwinkle & Rocky's show.

When I was in High School (in the 1970s) the Police officer who came to our school had a St. Bernard who was trained as a dog who could find drugs.
And the funny thing - the Lt. would have the dog sit by a lab stool I sat on @ the main desk in the office (I was a student volunteer) - & the dog wouldn't let other people come near me. Talk about protection!!

Yeah - I was always told animals know when people like animals - they'll cuddle up to you! My DH & I were at a local fair, & someone had a Greyhound that had reddish fur (I had never seen a Greyhound any other color but grey). That dog leaned against me, wanting to be patted. The owner chuckled, & said his dog liked me - I must like animals! And I didn't know the owner or the dog! Oh Well!!

Where is Lauren?? She's usually on in the morning!

Janet, I seem to have something like that too. Our DD came over with boyfriend's dog and he sat on my lap, which, I guess, is not normal for the dog. Animals seem to find ther way to me.

So who went shopping this day or are you waiting for cyber Monday? There is a mall here that has black Friday sales?

We went to a Briziallian restaurant last night. it was buffet vegetables and the waiters moved from table to table with large skewers of different grilled meat and cut off a peice if you wanted some. There was 11 different kinds of meat, chicken, beef, lamb, wild boar and sausage. The experience was very different.

Happy black friday everyone, I wonder why they call it black, so downerish!!!!!!

Susan - I agree. I could never understand the term Good Friday (Friday before Easter) - I always saw that day as Black Friday. Oh Well!!

Usually, I don't shop on Black Friday - too crazy in stores! BUT, this year I went to a JoAnns that is about 1/4 mile from my house - thankfully, normal traffic!! But then again, I didn't go until about 9:30 AM. Anyway - I got some craft things on sale & used a coupon. GREAT deals!!

Welll...since the cat had me up...I went...the sales aren't as big as the US but ok. I bought the carpet cleaner I have been wanting and a dust buster for my friend for CHristmas...then came home and went to bed

I only got a couple of things (for ME - not for gifts!) on sale ay JoAnns. One was an OttoLite Natural Daylight Lamp (folds in half, is easily transportable) - instead of the normal price $89.99, I only paid $44.99. That light should be a big help with the beading I do, and card making - I'll get more light!!
And the other thing I got is the ArtBin Magnetic Die Box - thought it would be much better to store my dies in one spot & this is orgainized! I'll get more magnetic sheets at AC Moore using a 50% coupon. Instead of the usual price of $21.99 I paid $10.99.
Total of the bill $45.89!

In total, I saved $72.86 (also had a coupon to taken some off of the total)! WOOHOO!!

ooopppsss sorry..I fell asleep at around 6:30am then the cat work me at 7:45am...by the time I came back from everything I needed the rest of my sleep!...The cat of course stole the warm spot on the bed as soon as I got up!

I've often thought of getting an Ott light...just hate spending the money on myself, especially at this time of year. Maybe I will get it for myself for my birthday in March!

Kathy, you may be able to get a good deal in January. Start saving your pennies, they add up so quickly. Did you do any shopping today?

Didn't plan to go out, but mom and dad wanted to go to Walmart for a few items, not Christmas related. I didn't want them to brave the shoppers or traffic alone, so I took them. Didn't really buy anything exciting.

I have an ott light, the best thing I ever bought, but then again I think so many things I bought could be the best thing I ever bought. haha

Does make it easier to see things and does not distort colous, so things match in all lights.

I used my Ott light last night when I went to a friend's place to finish a necklace I was working on. LOVE that light!! It really helped me do that tiny beadwork without as many problems as I've had without the extra light!! And I really got it on sale - they had the lamp on sale for 50% off & it will be like that at JoAnns ALL weekend!! I also used a coupon for yesterday only that gave 25% off of total purchase - that helped a lot!

Good morning, not much on the schedule for today but tonight my DH has a work get together for dinner and bowling. I will not be able to move tomorrow. Bowling, that should be funny -watch me throw that ....... Oh, another gutter ball!!!!!

In the mean time, I have to finish my Christmas cards, have a wonderful day. I'll check thru the day. Have to see what everyone is up to. I am just so newsy.

Are the black Friday sales still going or was that for one day only?

I haven't been bowling in years. The last time I went, everytime I threw the ball, I had a pain shoot up in my wrist. Finally gave up on it. I get these aches and pains for unknown reasons that come and go. I have a bowling trophy around her somewhere. High women's score for the season. I was actually second highest, but since the high scorer already had a trophy, it went to the next in line. Only trophy I ever got. We also won the league as a team that year. That was many many moons ago!! Now I play Polar Bowling on the computer! Much safer....
