my friend is lactose intolerant...so she had extra cheese...feta and mushrooms!! I had veggie,,,you should have heard her scream when she say one of my green peppers on her half!
Ladies keep in mind the coming storm. We are preparing for power outtages and I know I will go crazy if I can't talk to you all. But I also wanted you to know what's going on in case you don't hear from me in a while. They are saying it will begin here Monday night into Tuesday. I have drinking water, have buckets set out to catch flushing water!, have cooking water, gas grill is up on the back deck for cooking, generator is ready to keep fridge and a few other things running if we need. Kerosene heater is ready if we get cold...paper plates and cups so I don't have to stack up dirty dishes. Guess I had better stop before card class and see what foods I can get that will be easy...
So for now, I am here....chatting as much as I can.

Good Morning Friends!
YAY!!!
It’s the WEEKEND!
... ♥ ... ♥ ... ♥ ...
Today is Sylvia Plath Day, Make a Difference Day, Navy Day, New York Subway’s 108th Day, National Potato Day, National Forgiveness Day,
and Cranky Co-Workers Day.
Enjoy your holiday of choice today!
Please excuse the interruption, but here’s a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
reminding us of the Value of Car Maintenance!
A guy walks into the local NAPA store and asks, "Can I get a wiper blade for a Yugo"?
The clerk replies, "Sounds like a good trade to me".
Hope everyone stays safe in the storm - we've had lots of wind here in Florida - but not much damage - it's headed north! Hopefully it will not be as bad as predicted!!!

Hope all you East Coast girls stay safe in the path and wrath of Sandy. Have to say, we do have a generator, but can only have so many outlets attached to it so DH didn't program the computer connections as part of the generator; but we do have TV and kitchen and one bathroom programmed into it. Being in Indiana, I doubt we get anything from Sandy, but we do lose our power due to weather quite often where we live.
I have another X idea and hope to create it today.
I hope you are all having a good Sat. Lauren, you made some beautiful cards while I was sleeping!
Kathy, I hope the storm takes a turn out to the ocean and leaves you and the northeast alone. It is good to be prepared, but I hope it is not necessay.
It is cool here today (around 33). It snowed a little last night but I am glad it is only sticking on the mountains.
I went to the last Farmers' Market for this year, this morning and got a bunch of squash.
Now I am just going to stay in and work on some cards, with breaks for knitting and reading. A perfect day to relax.
I need to finish my X card. I will really be looking forward to the next letter. It has to be easier than this one!
going to be good...my friend dragged me out to michaels...I brought her for a coffee...now I am going to make a mess...my big crafting table is going up and the Christmas paper is coming out!!
We just started getting a steady rain here, they say it will get much heavier tomorrow, also high winds. YUCK!!
I just hope & pray that we don't have serious problems here!
Oh - give you a chuckle - the cruise ship I was on (Carnival Glory) has cancelled a cruise that was to leave from Norfolk VA tomorrow - they won't be able to get the ship out of docks in Norfolk.
And another thing they're doing - a cruise that leaves from NY city was supposed to leave Monday. It will leave tomorrow & sail down to FL - 2 days at sea. I do believe they will be sailing THROUGH Sandy!! Talk about rough seas!! I bet the ship's Dr. will be busy!!
Hmm... x-ray vision... maybe I'll find a picture of an x-ray!

I am going to use today's inspiration to explain taking over the living room to craft!
Nurture Yourself
Your greatest gift to your family and friends is yourself -
your relaxed, happy, and fully-present self.
- Jonathan Lockwood Huie
In my own deepening understanding of myself
I find my capacity to serve others is deepened as well.
The better I am at self-care
the more genuinely nurturing of others I am able to be.
- Mary Anne Radmacher
If you nurture your mind, body, and spirit,
your time will expand.
You will gain a new perspective
that will allow you to accomplish much more.
- Brian Koslow
Nurturing is not complex.
It's simply being tuned in to the thing or person before you
and offering small gestures toward what it needs at that time.
- Mary Anne Radmacher
Christmas Tree, do I still have a christmas tree??? I will have to look.... Mr Toby and Miss Tessa usually destroy anything I put out for Christmas..... except the door wreath, (it is outside),
Lynn - SOOOOOO I go to the library and get a book and and and..... ??????
I have all my Christmas stuff out as in card making and have lots to do as when I get my Chistmas cards done I want make some gift tags etc for little stocking stuffers or gifts... If I get it all done I will be surprised....... well.... Lets see a library book......I do like to read and have a book going right now... maybe this should be a craft book????? Now you really have me thinking LOL....... How is that big table looking?????? ready to go...
Ok so before I have a revolt...yes a Christmas tree up by the END of November! I have been told not to decorate BEFORE the Santa Clause parade! it is 58 days till Christmas!! MMMUUHHHAAA
Marion...I was challenging you to an outing...the library sounded good...maybe too cold for a coffee on the patio by then LOLOLOLOL
GRUMPY will jump up and down when he sees I have a 6 foot table taking up most of the living room...it is soo funny when his ears turn red!!! LOLOLOL the table is already messy and I still have to bring up the stamps!!! mmmuuuhhaaa I am a pot stirring everywhere I go!
hey, quit talking about Christmas - I'm still thinking about Halloween, then thanksgiving! I love Christmas, but don't want to forget the other holidays before!!
