I spent Australia day making cards, I hope you like them.
I'm not actually sure who the others are for but the sepia birthday card is for a friend of mine. I hate making men's cards I really struggle with them.

Just a reminder, if you haven't done so already, now is the time to look over your February card list. Think about the person/ occasion and start pulling paper!
I have some late Jan early Feb birthdays, so I got one done this month. I have been so much better about sending cards already this year! Thanks for the encouragement
No requirements for the challenge. Just tell me which date(s) you'd like to sign up for. I'll try to send out a reminder about a week ahead of time. It can be a Sketch challenge/ color challenge or a technique. Just if you use a technique, link to a tute... just as if you were doing VSN
Kelly, I'll sign up to do a challenge - maybe April or May.
Posted all my January cards over on the January thread. I really need to make sure that I post more often from now on. There were a bunch I did in January.
Maggie, what a prolific card maker you are! I've left love, but there were so many, that I am late getting to bed after working a 12 hour night shift....shame on you I guess it's shame on me for turning on my computer!

Thank you Ina. I left love on a few of yours this morning also. I really need to get them uploaded more often! I made 3 more over the weekend.

Pretty card, Luly. I've marked you down for January. I still need an snail mail please
So this month got away from me. My plan to make a card for the youngest niece and nephew fell through, but I did pull a card for each of tehm from my stash last night and will get them sent after work today.
For February I need two Valentines and one birthday all of which I came home with from the shoebox swap I went to on Saturday. SO I am set for this month!
I'm posting the inspiration for February 1. I am a pack rat, saving all sorts of items that look like they might be useful on a card. If you are a minimalist, this challenge may be difficult for you. Re-purposing: using an item that was not originally designed to be used on a card. For example, the silver seal on the top of a yogurt container, any type of packaging, old calendar photos, a design on a fancy envelope (as seen in my example). I've even hammered a beer bottle top flat for a card to my son at one time! Look around your house this week, and see what you can find!
My photo shows a card made with a picture that was on the outside of an envelope containing a calendar for TVO (a television station that is funded on donations, and this was an attempt to solicit my donation)

Thanks for a great Inspiration Challenge, Ina. I've added the Post # to the master list and am going to put a reminder over on the Feb1 Challenge thread!
Debbie, those girls are adorable! I'm in the same boat as you, my three grandsons live in Austin Texas, and I am in Ontario, Canada, not too far from Toronto. I fly down to see them 3-4 times a year, so I don't know how many miles it actually is. However, this year, after I retire, I hope to drive it once and stay down there longer than the one week, which has been my custom.
Also, this year, I am going to get a Canadian grandson (beginning of May) and for the first 10 months of his life, he will be living about 10 miles away from me. After that, he'll be going back to Ottawa, which is a 5 hour drive.
Ina, I'd hate to have the girls any farther away. We don't get to see each other very often. We're strapped financially because of DH's health issues so can't make trips to see them. My daughter is going to college and working part time so she only gets to come to Montana every other year. But I do talk to them every chance I get.

Hey girls!
I'm here to close out our January. How did everyone do? Are you ready for your February cards? I'm NOT! And it will be Monday before I can play.
I failed. The good part is-I don't need any birthday cards for Feb. The bad part-we have to make Valentine's-between the two kids that is 50 Valentine's (I think I need a sick day).
I had so many birthdays in January and now I don't need anything for February. I did make a bunch of Valentines cards that I need to upload for this month. I just don't have anyone to send them to!
