Hey girls!
Did you think I'd forgotten you? I haven't, honest. And if you'll read my most recent post at the main CCC12 thread, you'll understand that I am just snowed under with work. I never expected work to come in this fast. You might call it an 'overnight' sensation, because that's what it feels like. I've been working to this point with nothing really moving then all at once BAM!
I won't be able to comment on all of your cards but will make sure I make note of at least one from everyone enable to put you in the drawing. I'll have that done by Tuesday... when hubby has gone back to work and my time is my own again.
In the mean time, KEEP POSTING YOUR CARDS.
I'd also like to know if this thread has helped you this year. I'm looking for someone to take it over as I will not be able to continue it into 2013.
Kelly, this thread has helped me tremendously in planning ahead and actually getting my cards sent on time (or close to on time!) I hope someone picks this up and runs with it.
Did someone post a challenge for November 1?
Debbie,I'm so pleased to hear the good news about your DH, we only have an hours drive to the hospital and that takes up so much time so I can imagine how relieved you must be.
DH has his next visit two days before we fly to San Francisco so hopefully everything will go fine, they've given him the ok to fly which is the main thing and he feels he can manage it so were all set.
Yes Ina, yesterday afternoon 2.15pm, Charlie weighed in at 7lb.
We were concerned as we hadn't heard anything but then we had loads of photos, some just as he had been delivered, so exciting, Joey is going to meet his little brother this afternoon, I really hate living so far away but we will be there soon.
Hi all! I'm a little late with your November 1st challenge. Let's make it easy with a fall card or a thank you card but, you must also combine it with another challenge on Splitcoast. For example, make a thank you card with the color combination challenge or a fall card with a Verve sketch. When you post it in November's thread, tell me which other challenge you used. Be sure to post to the other challenge thread!

Congratulations, Grandma! I'm sorry you live so far apart. It's no fun.

What a great idea! I love combining challenges!

Hope to find time tomorrow to put something together. I need something to occupy my time on Tuesday while sitting at the polls for the elections. We have too much down time throughout the day. I don't have any cards I have to make for this month so would be nice just to play.

Oh, congratulations! That is great that you have such great photos, with living so far away. The electronic age has it's perks!

Thanks everyone, had some lovely photos of Joey meeting his new brother, they called on facetime yesterday so we could see the baby, so cute and looks like his proud brother.
Good news from DH's pulmunologist today. No change in his echocardiogram and he doesn't have to see him for 6 months. We were getting tired of making that trip every 3 months. And he doesn't have to see his cardiologist for a year; he makes the trip here instead of us going there. Nice break for him for a while. The goal all these years has been to keep him from backsliding and it looks like it's working. But it is nice knowing his doctors want to keep an eye on him. It's too bad 2 of them are over 100 miles away.
Kelly, hang in there and keep your priorities. Priorities are God, family, writing career....and way back in fourth or fifth place are your stamping buddies, and that's the way it should be!
Debbie, I'm so glad to hear the good news about your DH. Just think, in 6 months it will be April...SPRING! I love early fall, with the changing leaves, some rain, some sunshine and beautiful days like we had two of last week, but rain, wind and cold like the past couple of days....not so much! My neighbour wimped out on our walk this morning....still some winds. There were 4 trees down on our route along the cottage road. I managed to get past all of them and pulled a couple of them to the side, so the cars could get by. But I am so thankful that I am not in NewYork, New Jersey, or the the east coast.
Thank you, Ina. Yes, though I'm a bit turned around. Family first, then my spirituality the work...
Kelly, I'm still here, and I am still making cards, but most of them were for HYCCT in October. I made cards or used cards from my stash to send out to birthday folks as well as some encouragement cards. I just didn't take time to upload anything but HYCCT. Sorry - I'll do better in Nov. I also have to make Oct. & Nov. CCC12 Christmas cards.
I only have about 5 cards to send in November so far. I sent one from my stash for a birthday on 11/4. I made a Thanksgiving/thank you card today, but forgot to post it here, so here it is now:
Oh wow thanks Kelly, can't believe I'm a winner again. Yes I think it would be better to send my prize to the CA address as we will be there in five weeks,
Sorry Kelly! I have been pretty absent too. ANd I just realized that I have gone from needing 2 cards in November to needing 4. ACK! Guess I best get a move on.
I'm glad it finally arrived! (I could have driven it there in a few hours and I think I mailed it last Saturday) I hope it brightened your day!!
I'm going to a few holiday open houses today and the NRA dinner and raffle tonight. I wonder how you dress for that? Do I wear a nice dress or my hunting camo? Tomorrow I'll be working on birthday and Thanksgiving cards!!!
Hey Ina! We've got snow, so come on down!!! Or up, in your case.

Dianne, I would suggest a nice camo dress.... not! I'm sure everyone will be well dressed for dinner!
Yes, you have snow, but is it enough to ski on? Actually, I just planted my last tulips this afternoon. I found some on sale and knew there were a few spots in the garden just begging for spring colours, so I planted 21 of them.

You will have a lovely Spring, Ina, with your new Tulips! It is so fun to plant something, and then surprise come Spring!

I was sorting and cleaning my craft room, before beginning my next project.
I rearranged EFs and Dies. I counted 40 EFS! And, I have two more ordered from SU! What do I need that many for? That is redicoulous!
Now the terrible part, some have never been out of the package!
So my challenge is for you to make a card with something you have never used yet, but had for a while. Be sure and tell us in the description what you you used that you had never used before. Share a story about it if you want, here or in the description.
Be sure and include the kewords AOCC12V. Have fun!

Sharon, that's funny that you posted this challenge today. The "Thinkg of You" card I made yesterday would have worked for it. The labels die cut I used is something I had for a couple months and put aside until yesterday. I forgot I had it and found it buried under a lot of stuff piled on my desk. Now I need to find something I haven't taken out the package.
That's something I really miss living here, spring bulbs, tulips, daffodills and all those little alpine bulbs I used to grow on my rockery, it was always a lovely surprise to see them emerge every year, it's just too hot for them to grow here. I always think it looks odd to see roses here, they look so out of place with the palm trees.
Sharon - love the challenge! I know I've got several items, here and there in my craft area that haven't been used yet.
Is anyone considering taking this challenge over for Kelly? This has really helped me a lot and I'd love to see it continue. I'd consider doing the first half of the year if someone else can do the last half. (My job gets soooo busy from August to the end of the year.) Any takers?

My plan for December is to totally go through and reorganize mine. So not looking forward to the task.

Sheri aka KSnurse is going to take it over. However, I'm sure she would love some help. It really does work better with a back-up... which this was suppose to have had in the beginning.
Hope everyong has a very nice day. We've been having some real nice fall weather until this morning. It's snowing those nice big, fluffy flakes. It's nice to see the moisture, but I wish it had waited until after we got back from dinner with the family.
I have to share a funny with you. I need some supplies for my Cameo so made a wishlist for Black Friday. I went to the website this morning and filled out my shopping cart, put the promo code in only to get a message saying the code is invalid. I kept trying, then sent an email to the company telling them about my problem. After I hit send, I realized that, of course, the code isn't going to work. It's only Thursday today. My whole week's been like that. It al started with working my day off on Monday.
Kelly, I got my envelope of goodines! Thank you. I can't wait to use some of it. Better get down and start crafting. I do have 7 months of 15 gift calandars stamped and colored. 5 months to go!

Hey ladies!
Popping in to see what I need to do here. I don't do anything in December and with a new commander at the helm, I'll leave her to get you guys motivated to get your January 2013 cards ready to go.
