You can keep your snow, Dianne. Just be glad you don't live in Lincoln, NE. They've been having an average temp of 85° for the past month. Right now it's 89° there. Too soon to have to turn on the a/c.
Hey girls!
I see Dianne has posted her challenge as well as several of you picking up challenge dates! AWESOME! I'll get you updated over the next couple of days. I got caught off guard by the Texas Music Awards being moved up by 4 months this year... the weekend before we brought the granddaughter home for 2 weeks LOL Yeah... when it rains it pours.
Bear with me and I'll get you caught up ASAP as well as the March winner chosen.
I got the CCC12 thread caught up tonight during TheVoice (tweeting it as part of my job). I'll get you guys caught up tomorrow. Thanks for your patience while I work and play grandma.
It's so hard to leave them isn't it, Ina. I can't wait to see my girls next month. It's a good thing the apartment complex DD and the girls are moving into is family friendly. It has 3 swimming pools and one of the small ones will be out DD's back door. And there's a nice playground. The only downer about the visit is the oldest GD will be in school most of the time I'm there. I'm bummed they won't be able to come up this summer like planned, but that's life. I'm hoping this time next year, we'll be attending DD's college graduation.

Let me see you use your favorite craft tools! Describe what tools you used when you link your cards in the APRIL thread. Come on over to the APRIL thread and I'll show you some of my favorites!
I just found another cutting file I need to use for a card. I just may use it for all of my birthday cards for the month. Too bad I have to get ready to go to work now.
Thanks Debbie. If you have any conflicts please let me know and I'll cover for you. Though you know I'm praying I don't have too, for your daughter's sake
Sorry for being a bit absent but I've *finally* finished 15 of these Bunny cards for Easter. The pale gray on the bunnies didn't show up very well sorry.
Well, I'm just finishing packing, off to run a few errands, and then at 11 I leave for the airport to fly off to see my grandsons in Austin. I can't wait. I won't be doing any card making for at least a week.
I know you've been in TX for a bit. Hope you're enjoying your visit. Glad you're south of the weather.
I've updated the 'call' list. But Adrian has come downstairs 2x looking for me so guess it's time to head upstairs. Diane, I'll get the KEYWORD for your challenge posted asap. Thanks for posting in my absence.
Kelly, I don't think there will be a problem posting the challenges in June and September. Both dates are special to me and I already know what they're going to be. Thank you so much for your support.
I just checked the weather forecast today to see if it would be wise to walk to work. It's just been crazy here. The temps have been getting down to the mid-30s to the low the 30s at night and mid 70s during the day. No wonder there's a lot of sick people around here. Having temp changes of 40-50 degrees in twelve hours on a daily basis is just plain nuts. Too warm to have the heat on during the day, but too cold at night to shut it down. Snow is a possibility by the end of the week; but I think that's going to be more in the mountains than on the plains where I live.
I know you've been in TX for a bit. Hope you're enjoying your visit. Glad you're south of the weather.
I came home yesterday....just flew east of Dallas before the storm. But my son was in Dallas for a conference and was confined to a room for 3 hours while it was happening. At least his ex wife's car wasn't damaged. He's using it while his ex is in Spain. (after all, he paid for it!)
Debbie, thanks for your comment on my 'Tulip thanks' card. The areas on the card that appear coloured are actually cut out...it is an embossing/cutting die. So I just layered a coloured paper behind it.
I hope everyone is having some nice weather. It's only 35° right now. Sky is dark. Forecast calls for rain, which would be very welcome around here, possibly turning into snow tonight. It's supposed to snow tomorrow with high winds to make blizzard conditions. I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad. I don't want to shovel snow. It would be a good day to be locked in my craft room and make cards all day. But, alas, I do have to go to work. It's a good thing I like my job.
Debbie.......you have to work on Good Friday? I do, because I am a nurse and this is my weekend to work, but I thought most other people (other than nurses, doctors, firemen, paramedics, and police) got the day off?
Ina, nothing around here shuts down on Good Friday any more. But I have Fridays off from my paying job. I have one more tax appointment to do in the morning then I'm done for the season. Then I have the rest of the weekend free. Don't go back to work until 5pm Monday. Maybe I'll get some stamping done. I'm ashamed to say, I didn't get a card sent off that needed to be in Oregon by Sunday. I guess that one will be a belated birthday.
Yes, I have a birthday for Sunday that I didn't get in the mail, but I will hand deliver it on Sunday morning on my way home from work. My friend needs a hug anyway..
We woke up to FOUR inches of heavy, wet snow this morning. I had to wear my heavy coat and gloves to work. Thank goodness I hadn't put the window scrapers away yet! Most all melted by afternoon. It's supposed to be near 70 by Sunday. This is nuts!

We didn't get the big blizzard that was forecasted. We had rain/snow mix most of the day, but it has quit. I'm happy we didn't get the high winds as predicted. The ground got a good soaking so everyone around here is happy. We were just talking about needing to water the grass. Still have low temps, but not too bad. I do know that some of the mountain areas got quite a bit of snow. That's not totally a bad thing. Keeps the fire season at bay.
I heard of snow in UT, too, as well as eastern WA (recent, not yesterday) but we have been sunny, bright, and a little chillier than normal. Crazy weather everywhere.
Its a deary rainy day in Oregon, just thought Id peek in and say "Hey" I don't have any May birthdays but, do need 3 more Mothers day cards so hoping to work on those sometime soon.

Morning girls! I'm in Paducah KY. ON my way home today. Traveling again tomorrow but back to work on Monday and will get everyone caught up.
Remember... if you have your April cards out of the way, it is NOT too early to look at your May calendar. Mother's Day will be here before you know it. It doesn't have to be YOUR mom. Maybe just brighten another woman's day :0)
I am back home. Severe weather moving in this afternoon but all should be clear tomorrow and I can get back to normal schedule and get everything caught up. Thank you so much for your patience. Can't wait to see everyone's creations.
I'm planning to make some cards in the next few days......gotta get the April 1st challenge done before Stephanie posts the April 15 challenge! I'm also working on some Christmas cards and a shoebox for Spring Fest In Buffalo on April 28.
Hey ladies!
I have made sure everyone was accounted for on the March thread. Will be posting the March Monthly winner in a couple minutes. Then moving to April!
Just dropping by to say sorry for being so absent...again! My life is just a little weird this spring. I will have my challenge ready to go for May 15th, though.
No apologies needed Jane! Life happens. I hope your life issues are not unsurmountable. Keep smiling and get away for a half hour sometime to do some stamping (or sleeping, whatever you need the most).
