I'm on a roll with these Lego things, but at least I'll be prepared for my ds birthday I think I'm trying to will May to get here. I started these the other day but since today was a rainy day I finished them up. We too have had some of that crazy weather it was in the 60's yesterday and today it was raining and windy early in the day and now it's in the 20's and snowing, icing and very very windy. I know I've said this before but I'm so ready for winter to be over!!!!

I made 10 Lego Birthday Invites, that makes projects 89-98 of 100, I can't believe I only have 2 more till I hit 100!!! I was so worried I'd never make the 100. These invitations were altered from a card I saw made by another crafter on you tube her video tutorial can be found at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hj95WLp-QgY
I just tweeked here and there to make it fit what I needed. These were a lot of work, lots of little bits and piece but tons of fun. Hope ya all like them

Today I would like to try the paper bag...I watched a couple more videos on youtube (what a learning place) and think I'm ready to try...

What type of envelope do you use for this card since it doesn't fit in the standard A2? Or are these types of cards ones that don't get mailed?

Faye, my paper bag was a smaller one, so it does fit in a regular A2 envelope.

the first one I made will fit in a square 5 1/2" envelope. I did watch a video where they wacked some off the top of the bag and with what they had left it was a standard A2 card...
The bags I am using measure 5 1/8" x 10 something...so I can fit them into an envelope ....but I would think you could make an envelope that would fit them.....somewhere,,,probably in another galaxy--I saw how to make a "fat envelope" that would take a thicker card....but don't ask me where that was....

Tammy, love the lego card and boxes, so clever. My sons just went to a party last weekend that was at the movies for the Lego Movie. Wish I saw the box and card before, would have been perfect.

Love the washi storage. I wish I had more use for mine, it looks so pretty, but I rarely use it.

Sounds like you did OK at the craft show Stacy. Good to have your regulars! Your both always looks amazing, love the way you set up, so clever and pretty.

Fun display Jen, makes it nice (and easy to grab) when the stamps are displayed!

Hope everyone is doing well here, I'm as usual behind, but have several projects to upload, so maybe I'll be close to caught up soon!

too funny Pansy, yes, I think we will have to blame Paula fair and square for this lol

I know I have lots of paper bags in all kinds of sizes. ( we used to make scrap album things out of them... stack a few bags together and sew them where the score line is going and decorate just like those card videos) but, I kept thinking they would just deteriorate you know over time so I stopped making them into albums and think the card idea is looking like fun.

Had a great couple of days in Greenville with my Cousin. I loved the water falls and the view at Reedy River Park, My steak at THE PEDDLER STEAKHOUSE was really good and our tour around the old mansions was a fun historical treat...

years and years ago before A Muse was an party plan company they made a heat and stick type powder (its like embossing powder) that when you heat it becomes a glue for glitters) but, I dont know if any other companies jumped on that bandwagon.

but, Id guess that if you stamped something in versamark and sprinkled on very fine clear embossing powder and heated that and sprinkled very fine clear glitter on it it would the glitter would melt into the embossing powder you just may have to re hit it with the gun to make sure it sinks in before you rubbed on it. ( best guess)

eta: I've also seen a similar effect if you stamp an image, color it and cover it with an used dryer sheet. ( it almost looks the same as that napkin all glittered)

You may use any standard size envie. The post office has a list somewhere on their site. Otherwise, you will need additional postage to mail them. My bag cards fit an A7 size for a 5x7 card. My bags are 5 inches wide. I folded the bottom up to form a pocket and then cut the top off so the bag is 6 inches high. I added lace at the bottom which hangs off the edge so they fit perfect in the A7 envie. I purchased these bags at the dollar tree several yrs ago.
I have larger envies that will probably work well with the larger lunch sacks I haven't played around with it yet. I purchased them at walmart a few yrs ago.

LOL! I will gladly take the blame for helping you have fun and be creative with minimal cost. I hear that phrase often for getting family members hooked on craft projects.

Yes, there are other heat and stick type powders but I cannot remember what brand or what it is called. I kinda think Ranger makes this.
A glue pad could be used instead but heating the glitter so that it is embedded in the heat and stick gives a very professional result.

Dazzling diamonds is an ultra fine glitter. Martha stewart has it in her line and the fine translucsent white recollections brand at michaels is also the same stuff. I'm thinking a glue pad and diamond dust over the napkin would be real pretty too!

I am lovin' your bag cards!!!! I hope to post mine later today.

Stacy, where did your chick stamp that says from one chick to another come from?

Anavon, I love to tour old buildings and homes. The architecture is sublime and we don"t make beautiful buildings today like in years past.

I hope you find some crafty time Pia!

Pia, hope your week gets better, soon!

Love these paper bag cards, they are stunning. I, too have made the paper bag albums in the past, but want to try a card. Thanks for the inspiration Paula!

Will have to check out the napkin technique, haven't seen that before.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Looks like all of you are having fun with the paper bag cards! I am totally impressed with all of them.

My nephew would think the lego cards and boxes are the coolest thing ever. May have to CASE those.

I was thinking about a glue pad for the napkin technique, but mine never seemed to work well. I'm wondering if it was dried out before I ever opened it and that was the problem I had with it?

Paula, the from one Chick to another is from A Muse ( its a single wood mounted stamp from before they were a party plan )

and about those glue pads....( I tossed every single one from every single co. I ever paid good money for in the trash)
I have heard that it depends on the climate you live in as to if they will work for you.

the climate I live in is considered High Mountain desert, and everything (glitter ) I tried to use with those pads brushed right off the cardstock.

Wow, creative ladies you are!! I'm so far behind - add me to that group of ladies, lol. I'm up to card #80 - though not pleased at all with it

I would love some feedback as I stared and stared and stared at it and just can't make it work. I LOVE the image, and the technique, but something seems OFF to me - kwim?
I originally covered the shadowbox frame but it looked to cluttered and covered up too much of the colored image ............... so I just left it ............... meh!

Advice???? I have another image, so I'm going to start all over ........

Kelly, it's beautiful! You don't have to change anything! If I ever created something like it, I would probably add a couple tiny flowers or pearls or dots in the upper right corner of the frame just to give the cute birdie something to look at.

I have heard that it depends on the climate you live in as to if they will work for you.

the climate I live in is considered High Mountain desert, and everything (glitter ) I tried to use with those pads brushed right off the cardstock.
Bummer that you have thrown out multiple glue pads, but it makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one they haven't worked for. I hadn't heard that about the climate, but we definitely have different climates.

Sorry to have been MIA. Nose to the grindstone and the time change has been hard around here. Last week I had kitted up some projects and did manage to make a few while the kids played at McDonald's. They hadn't been for a super long time so played forever.

I have also been organizing like crazy. I took up Paula's organization challenge and did my twine. Previously, it was all entombed in the opaque bags they came in from the store something like 3 or 4 years ago. Took up a lot of space and made it hard to find the color I wanted, so now it is all spooled on a binder clip. I wanted to do something cute like wooden clothespins or practical like cardboard spools but I came across these in the office and thought I would give them a whirl.

I've lost my exact count so will go figure that out eventually but with all the hours logged in organizing (which I am counting), I have to be on track. Have a great weekend!

Tammy, the invites turned out great! Is Brandan excited?

The glue pads do dry out if not maintained. You have to keep the thin plastic cover like on the stazon pads to help prevent them from drying out. I had to spritz water on mine every month to keep it in good working order too.

Adding glue with a brayer might work. I haven't tried it but think it should work if the napkin is stuck down good and the glue thin enough. I don't have time to give it a whirl right now.

Woo Hoo Jen! I'm glad someone is in the cleaning mood. I am organizing a few things right now but still not in the "I want my room looking great mode."

Kel, walk away and look at it tomorrow. I think it looks great! I would buy it. Did you try it with other color combo like blue instead of purple or a different shade of green for the card stock? Sometimes that helps me. I have in mind what papers or card stock I am going to use with an image and then I try it with other things and sometimes I like the other things better. I would still buy this card though.

Thanks Stacy, I was afraid you were going to tell me something like that. I might find it on ebay one day.

Here is a quick peak at what I did this week. I made 6 of the bag cards mixing and matching Paper Studio Sweet Pea stack. The large sentiment tag can be used to write a note to the parents and the small tag would be great to write a note to the baby. I have several photos and will blog about it in a week or so. I am still blogging about the lovefest cards at the moment.

What shall be our challenge for next week? I would work on the napkin cards if I had decorative napkins on hand. I don't think I have any but will check on that.

Have a great day and have fun crafting!

Stacy--glad to see you are joining the bag ladies club

PIA,,,hope things are better for you soon.

Paula, Angie, Stacy--re the glue pads....I watched a video this winter where they put the card through a Xyron machine with the image down receiving the sticky part...then they put a used dryer sheet over it and put glitter on the top of the dryer sheet and hand patted/rubbed it in.....anyway that is my memory of what I watched....the glitter really showed up on the example cards.....but it didn't make a thick layer thingy.....

Thanks Stacy, I really enjoy making banners. I keep forgetting to take pics when I make them and now I don't have a record of all of them. That's your lace on that banner from one of the WRAK swaps.

Ohhhhhhh such great cards in here! I'll have to see what the napkin technique is? I've never heard of it!

Stacy, thank you so much for the comment/suggestion on my card - I will try that! I have a beautiful wood grain folder I never even thought to use - brilliant you are! ♥

Such pretty projects!

Love the banner Paula, that is so gorgeous. I've been wanting to make on for my little one's room.

Jen, great cards and organization. I should do something like that with my twine, looks so nice and neat.

I think my glue pad is by Stazon. It works OK, but I never really use it much. Not such a fan of loose glitter, I'm more of a stickles girl.

Kelly, just saw that we are going to be DT teamies. What a small world the crafty one is! Congrats, looking forward to working together!

Hope everyone has a happy St Patrick's Day! I dressed all the kids up in green and made my mom's recipe for Irish Raisin cake. I'll probably get convinced to make some homemade shamrock shakes tonight! Have a great day everyone!

Kathy, Irish Raisin cake and shamrocks sound good to me. We don't do much except make a Leprechaun trap and this year the kids wanted to hide gold coins to see if the Leprechaun could find them, which just made it easier for me!

Have a nice green day!

I finally have pictures of some of the cards I made last weekend.

The tractor cards were from a kit for a swap, there are 4.
the Time Birthday are from a kit for the same swap, 4.
then I made 4 more with the leftovers.
The ship ones, kit, same swap. I made 6 and then 2 with the leftovers with an image I had.
The pheasant cards are the ones I made for January's card club. We will finally meet tonight, not cancelled sue to weather! 8 of these
Birthday card fro my mom from an image I had in my stash.

I think that is 29 plus the 8 I had made early in the challenge brings me up to 37. I'll update my totals later.
