Aw, thanks!

And that happened to me the other day, but after a little bit it just went away. It was weird though.

So--it is January 15th and I think I may have enough energy to work on a card or two this afternoon. The pneumonia took a lot out of me I guess. Managed to take the Christmas tree down yesterday ( and it is only 4 feet tall so it wasn't that big a job) and then take the few Christmas things left (wreath on door, etc.) down. By using a wheeled cart to move storage totes from the spare bedroom to the understairs storage I was able to put all of it away---and then I just sat for about 4 hours. Sweating was not in my plans but doing that little bit caused the ducts to open big time. Later I did make it to my exercise bike for knee therapy and that went well......
I have my hopes up to really get into the swing of things this week so will be flooding the gallery with cards I hope.
All of your work is amazing....so many talented card designers here.....Keep it up.

and for what it is worth----I take a big package of Georgia pacific white cardstock to my friendly local paper printing store....they graciously cut it into 4" x 5 1/4" pieces for me. Then I use that to line dark bases......since I began doing that I do a better job making the inside pretty too....and don't have to waste time cutting the paper to use...It is just in a CD wire mesh holder and I grab a piece and go to town.

Yesterday I made GREAT headway on catching up. I cleaned up for 30 minutes and then made three cards. Plus I found one from last week that I forgot to post so I am caught up to the 12th! Of course, it feels like a cheat in that two cards are the same but I still had to stamp and fussy cut and decide papers so I'm counting it!

The sentiment stamp was one off the designer's blog so I am sending the first card to her to thank her.

Have a terrific day everyone!

When I went to convention last year they showed how to do this and you do leave the paper in. And then at another booth they were using a soft toothbrush to get it out.

Kelly, LOL! I thought you could teach the alcohol marker lessons but since there is a POOL and a CABANA....I'm off to pack! We are in for more cold weather and I could head south for a while. maybe you can join me in the mountains during the heat of summer.I took a class and learned a few things but learned more on my own. When I am close to the edge, I use quick light strokes to prevent bleeding.

I am behind 2 days on reading the thread so I must back track and get caught up.

Oh yay! Fresh blood in RAK and WRAK. It takes two weeks and then you sign up for WRAK and have to wait for approval there also. A bunch of the gals in this thread are WRAK gals too. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Good Morning Ladies... I think I'm caught up commenting again. If I miss someone - it is purely accidental. I am trying to leave comments to all of you!

Pansy, that's a BRILLIANT idea to have the paper pre-cut. I'd love to do that with black cardstock since I sue it to mat almost every card (often times inside and out). I wonder what a place like Staples would charge to cut the paper for me. I might have to check on that the next time I head to the small city near us.

Jen, your cards are so pretty! Love the shape that you stamped on!

staples here charges a dollar a cut so it would cost you about 3-4 dollars to have a ream cut. sometimes you have a person with smarts who can easily figure out that you can cut it with 4 cuts(one to trim off the 1/2 from the 8 1/2 " side, one to cut it on the 10 1/2" line and one to cut it on the 5 1/4 in line and one to cut it on the 4 " line) but sometimes you have a person with no smarts who thinks it will cost $10.....I usually take a diagram with me.......but the place who has done the cutting for me totally understands....and the first time they charged me $2 and the last time it was free......

GOOD MORNING!

I'm taking a break from card making today. At the top of my "To Do" list is to take down and pack away Christmas decorations. I don't think I've ever had them up this long. Also I need to do some serious housecleaning, especially my craft room. Hope to get some of my cards uploaded on SCS too.

Here's a new tool that Spellbinders is offering to help with all those difficult to remove pieces from their dies:

Wow! Not only did I catch up but I am all set for tomorrow! I tidied up another 30 minutes last night and then made three cards. Today while I was on a conference call (I work from home Thursdays), I made some cute origami butterfly barrettes as an experiment. I am not sure they will hold up but then if they don't it's not like there was a big effort. So I am up to 17 today!

Have a terrific day!

PS. I posted today's in my gallery instead of attaching them here. Just in case Pansy is keeping score .

These are gorgeous! I love the papers you used. I'm not even going to ask which ones they are, because I know I'll "*have* to get them.

I have been so busy at work that I haven't had a chance to check in. I know I still have pictures to upload, that is my weakness! I took them on my phone and can't get them off right now. I need to get one of my kids to help.

OK, so here are cards enough to catch me up for now.
Thanks all for the positive thoughts. I have an emergency appointment with a shrink tomorrow to adjust my medication. Fingers crossed.

How come these stamps are so expensive? I love these because I have a Golden Retriever that looks just like the doggie, but don't think I'd spring $24 for a single stamp :S

I would have bought this one, had it in my shopping cart, but the sideways balloons just bugged me.

Phyllis Harris stamps are my latest addition. At last count, I think I had about 30 sets of hers. What's so sad is I think only 3 or 4 sets have seen ink. If you ever want to borrow any, PLEASE let me know. I'd be more than happy to share. It would ease my guilt, in fact.

They have sales all the time, so I get them for $12. And they're on cushioned EZ-mount and fantastic quality. And big. And it's always at least 2 stamps. I will send you some images. I see you color with Copics, so I will stamp them with Memento.

BTW, all your cards are absolutely adorable. So bright and cheery! Love the aliens and rockets and monkeys and such. TFS

glad to say that today I colored 8 images and fussy cut those plus 4 more...so 12 images await me tomorrow bright and early I hope. I found out that in addition to reading while using my recumbent bike for knee therapy--I can also fussy cut......the speed of pedaling slows down on the hard parts but I still had some of my 15 minute session left to pedal when I finished cutting 8 images out......

Wow, Pansy, I have to say I'm impressed. I have trouble fussy cutting sitting still, let alone multi-tasking like that. LOL

I hoping that since you're pedaling that means you're all better? (It was you that had pneumonia, wasn't it?) Be sure not to over do it, Missy!
