Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
This week, and every week in the future we will be posting both a 12 X 12 AND a 8-1/2 X 11 double page layout.
These are designed by Tracy and myself. (Amy is temporarily away for a few months) You will NOT find these sketches anywhere else!! How exciting is that?
You do not have to fill ALL empty spaces with photos, you can stamp, embellish or use your imagination and fill in the blanks! Just make sure you USE THE SKETCH we provide!! You must follow our sketches to be eligible to win the prize this week. If a double page layout is too much for you to do, we will still judge one page layouts that follow the sketch (just delete one page) If you have any questions post them in here and someone will help you. Be it Tracy or myself, or someone that knows the answer
*Note Feel Free to CONVERT the 8-1/2 X 11 SKETCH to a 12 X 12 LAYOUT!
Please click the following LINKS to view the Sketches
Scan or take a photo or your work, upload with SBSC34 in the keywords, and post it here for us all to see. Please be sure to type SBSC34 with NO SPACES. Be sure you use these keywords AND in your title so we can search for judging!
Tip: If you like you can type what your journaling says in the notes section of your upload in your galley. Be sure to JOURNAL somewhere on your page this is important when we judge!!
Please remember there are no uploads on Sundays, as the wonderful ladies that approve uploads need a day off too! This means NO UPLOADING! Please do not upload assuming that they will just approve it on Monday AM, as they get slammed with Sunday Uploads. Thanks! (((hugs)))
Love the 12x12 sketch! I have the perfect pictures for it! Actually I love both sketches but those darn circles are in the 8 1/2 x11 one again. Guess I'll have to order some circle punches soon!

OH fun, Jack is at school today, but since his mom is out of town I may pick him up early, (I guess I better get my rear in gear if I amgoing to do that!)
We may go to the park or to nanny's (it rained here last night so might be too wet at the park...) well off I go!!!
I LIKE CIRCLES, REALLY!!! They add variety and interest (those terms came from all that art stuff I took in Uni) I just need to find an efficient way to do them! Which just means I spend more money. Those circle punches ave been on my wish list for ages, but those mini-catalogs just seem to bump them down the list. I think its called "willpower". But I'm dying to have that Unfroggetable set. Our two wedding songs were "Have I Told You Lately" by Van Morrison and "Unforgetable" by Nat/Natalie Cole - how could I not?

I am just teasing with the circles, too! They are out of my 'comfort' zone (along with patterned paper) and isn't that one of the purposes of the 'challenges'!? I like them, though! This is NOT complaining - just good natured chitchat! I have a coluzzle and use it for circles, but would love to have a couple nesting circle punches.

Laurel...love the terms...Oh and I hear ya about that stinkin cute mini...I totally *NEED* everything (well almost) in it...This one is the best yet.
And I too have had those circle punches on my wish list since the beginning of my SU! addiction...I finally broke down & bought the square punches long ago. But I had to sacrifice a stamp set to do & I am just not willing to do that right now with this ROCKIN MINI just coming out...
Thanks for being so *SWEET* ladies...HUGZZZZ

Yes and I have figured out how not to have to buy the same piece twice!!!!! It is a wonderful thing!!!
Nice sketches ladies, hopefully I'll get something started before the last day this time. I am amazed when I look at my gallery how many scrapbook pages I've done recently. Thanks Tracy and Cindy for keeping this going!
Man, these sketches are AWESOME!! I can't wait to play. Today I am not feeling up to much and I have an all day SU training thing tomorrow, but I am looking forward to that!! Gotta finish up my swap cards for that but I will fer sure play this week!!! Love, love, love the sketches!!!
I just got my 1 1/2 / 1 1/4 combination circle punch yesterday. I'm so glad I can use it in the sketch. Hopefully I can do both again this week. It's really hard catching up (definately not complaining about that).

I like the circles!!! I just want the circles that go a size in between the coluzzle circle template that SU sells. Now I NEED a template for ovals!
Lovin the sketches!

No way! really you did it already?? WEll maybe if I wasn't playing around and doing what I was supposed to do than I could be done too!
Can't wait to see theya re still pending! Good job getting them done early!
I love to buy stamps, ribbons, and embellishments - especially brads and eyelets. I don't always use them - - but they are soooooooooo fun to buy! And you never know when you might need them!
Through experience, I now always buy two sheets of any patterned paper. Sometimes I use it for backgrounds on a double page layout and sometimes I just have extra on hand for mistakes/changes. I'm not a planner, I just jump in and design my pages as I go along - so sometimes I'll change my mind as I'm working - then that extra piece comes in so handy!
Darcy, just think of those extra pages as being prepared for whatever comes along;-) !!

I'm envious AND I'm drooling over the circle punches in the catalog!

Brown is out of my comfort zone and at the expo today all the new paper has brown in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love circles...I use Creative Memories' system...But I've heard the coluzzle is better and easier to carry around too!

Nothing brown in these pages, though. Pastels ... not my favorite, but appropriate for these. Still doing catch-up on 2003. Here is my dps for the 12x12 sketch challenge this week. Easter Pages

I don't like the coluzzle as much as the CM systems. I want the star and diamond ones.

REally? Ok then I'll stay with my CM system! I have it all. I was a former consultant so I have all their tools ever created. I just don't like how heavy and bulky they are for going to crops...but its not like I go out of the house anyway to crop!
