Default Fall to Winter Journal Page with Shari + Video

Hi all I am here to share a journal page made by the lovely Shari Carroll.

Enjoy !

Hi everyone! Itís Shari here with my November Art Journal entry.

There is a feeling in the air that winter is fast approaching. It seems as soon as our leaves changed color, the wind kicked up and they they were lostÖ leaving the trees barren and brown. I am left with but a memory of FallÖ. imagining the cold days of Winter to come.

This is the inspiration for my journal page.

I started my page with Tim Holtz 8◊8 Collage papers and started building up layers from there.
Iíve sewn the frame or negative space of my die cut leaves to the page using some zig zag and straight stitching. This is another great reason for creating a back to back style journal, you can manipulate your pages however you want before affixing them to the existing pages.

Iíve stamped my leaves with Distress Paints, Walnut Stain and Brushed Pewter (nice and shiny!) To create my phrase, I used the Tim Holtz Seasonal and Chit Chat stickers. These always have the words I want to use!

Iíve shot a full process videoÖ sped up a bit of course, to fit it all in. Enjoy!

Thanks for visiting the blog today, Iíll catch you next time!
