Yes! We do use our other hand to show our side of the state. The Right hand palm up for the mitten...Left hand back of hand up and pinkie up for the Keweenaw Peninsula...I'm from Baraga, at the bottom right side of my left pinkie! LOL!

I live just south of GR now but grew up in the U.P.

I had never seen anyone use their hand as a map until I went to college with the "downstaters"
