Thanks for the nice words about Saturday, Gill. It sure was fun and very creative ideas were contributed by all. Thanks ladies for helping with the clean up and also to everyone who brought treats. Thanks Joann for contributing your special way too! I can take some pictures for you Joann, but I wouldn't know what to take pics of. Maybe the pool table that I use for serving the food and drinks? Hehe. I love my tables and the space I have down in my room. I feel very lucky to have the cabinets for storage, and a husband so willing to make it comfortable for my crafting. Let me know if there is anything in particular that you want to show your hubby.
See you all soon at our next gathering in Kirkwood.
Ladies, I just found out some very sad news. Our Carol Blankenship was not at our meeting on Saturday, because she passed away, 2 weeks ago. I have friends at Forkeepsakes that have been talking about a Carol that comes to classes up there all the time that passed away suddenly. I just put 2 and 2 together and called my friend Bonnie to ask if this Carol use to work at Michaels, and she say yes. It was our newest member, Carol B 2. She was dearly loved at Forkeepsakes, and they are missing her a lot. Let's keep her family in our prayers
So sorry to share this news this way.
Dianna.

So sorry to hear that news. I only met her one time but was looking forward to getting to know her better.
Oh my! I hate to hear that. I've talked to her for months at Michaels before she got up the nerve to come to one of our meets. I was afraid it was her health, but this?
I was stoked that everyone liked the gift trios idea! I found it in a PaperCrafts magazine and read like this: Can't keep yourself from buying your favorite paper by the dozen? Here are some ideas that will help you get the most out of your favorite supplies and create a beautiful bag, tag, and card in the process. Now you get why it appealed to me!hahahahahahahahahhaha
They showed gift boxes, some square some those special die shapes, and gift bags, some handled, some like lunch-so sky is the limit-I think as long as it can hold a "gift" it works-and anysize tag and card-themed to the same (use the same stamp set) So stamp on girlies!!!

I am so sorry! Wow this is so sad! She had surgery before our last meeting in Kirkwood, and mentioned it hadn't gone so well. I was surprised that she was at that meeting even with that news. I liked her a lot! I think she really enjoyed our meetings albeit she was a little quiet. I am deeply saddened by her passing. I am going to keep on thinking our meets together gave her some joy. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
Did anyone accidently pack up a stamp that says I'M HERE FOR YOU... ?
I haven't come across it putting up stuff. Thank you!
Today is the first day I have had to get on my home computer since our meet. I have been buried with computer stuff from my work! Today was the first day I've had to read this thread. I am so very shocked and saddened about Carol Blanketship's passing. Prayers!
I still have my bag packed from the meet, and if I happen to see your stamp, I'll let you know.
DUH! I found it. I thought it was a wood mount. It is still on my block.
So sorry if anyone went out of their way looking.
I've got ideas galore, if anyone is having trouble with the trio.
A week from today!!
Katherine, so sorry you will be gone. You will be missed. If you have any ideas, bright or not, for the next meet, let us know! lol
Have fun!
I think it is time to start a list for Saturday. It is creeping up quickly, and I need to start on my project for this Saturday the 12th.
Here are the people that I am pretty sure are coming. Please change, if not coming, or add if I don't have you one the list.
Dianna
Katherine (will not be there, but is sending a project)
Danette
Laurie
Jo Ann
Gill
Carol
Britt
Joann H
Anyone else coming? We will be at Kirkwood library again.
Anyone else have their project ready for Saturday. I was struggling at first, but I think I was trying too hard. I now have a simple 4X4 card, with a tag, and a little box for everyone to make. Life is much easier when you have friends with great ideas too.
Dee
Carol, I hope you are feeling better. Gill, hope your Aunt is doing better. We
had a small but great together. Katherine, I made your box!!! And it looks
great! lol Hope you are having a good weekend.
To all the mothers, HAVE A GREAT DAY TOMORROW!
Hi Y'all, my Aunt is getting slowly better. They had to drill to decrease brain pressure. It has helped some. Hard to see her suffer, but she is getting good treatment.
How did the last meet go?
What is theme for June?
Meeting at the Library again?
What day?
Would love to see some pics from last meets.
I can't find my camera anywhere!
I bet I have to buy a new one, and then my old one will show up!!
Hi everyone. Gill I'm glad to hear your aunt is making progress. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I bet you feel better knowing she is getting good treatment.
When is our next meet? Is the theme anything but a card? I can't remember.
Laurie, your mixed media is looking good! I'm still collecting materials. I am getting some neat stuff.
I think the meet is to pick something in Splitcoast's resource. DaNette or anyone? Am I right? Senile Sissy here.
I posted this on FB so some of you may have already seen this - did I happen to lend any of you one of my stamp sets "the open sea". It is a wood set and came out of last years occasions mini. It had a schooner, part of a manifest, a compass and a wheel. I can't seem to find it and I thought I remember lending it to someone at the end of one of our gatherings...if you do, just let me know so I don't have to buy it again.

I vaguely remember someone wanting to use it. I like that set. Hopefully
someone will remember.
I talked to Julie at Inkspot yesterday about the Christy Tomlinson line.
Pinkpaisley isn't selling She Art anymore. So she is checking to see if her distributor has any. I hope she is coming out with new stuff. I will keep you posted. That is my plan for this weekend is to make a canvas. My granddaughters are going camping and I hope to have the Peace I want.
Everyone, have a great weekend!
FYI - I found my "misplaced" stamp set! Apparently I had filed it in the retired pile instead of the active. Great things happen when I have a few days off to clean and reorganized my craft room! Thanks all for checking your stuff for me and putting up with my disorganized self
Jenny - I have that our next meeting is 1 pm, June 9th at Kirkwood Library. I am not sure what the theme is, I suppose I should find out soon...nothing like waiting until the last minute :/ I think someone mentioned mixed media...can someone else confirm?
I'm glad you found it....in case I want to borrow it! haha You had a few days off? How
lucky! You must feel good getting things in order.
I think we are suppose to pick something from SCS resource or techniques blog. Mine is closer to Tim Holtz and something I had read in the Inkling. I hope you all like it.
I'm going to Tennessee Friday for the weekend for soccer, baseball and karate. (My'great nieces and nephews) Everyone have a great weekend!
Hey everyone, I would like to invite you to a get together at my house on the 23rd of June. We can start at 11 AM till 5 or so and have an all day crop. Now you can make whatever you want. Bring your own supplies but you are welcome to use my stamps as I seem to have a few. I thought it would be fun to get together with the girls and actually get something done at the same time. We will see how it works out and maybe we will do it again. If anyone is interested I could come up with some cards for you to make while you are here but then I would have to charge something for them. If not just bring your own stuff and have fun. Just let me know what you think. Joanne Huber
Hi Joanne,
I love this idea! I would love to attend, but I think I will have out of town guests that weekend. I hope it works out well, because if it is done again, I would love to attend.
I have out of town guests both the weekends of June 15-16th and then the following week-end too.
Everyone take care!
Britt I was going to go to CKC but deferred because I had already made a commitment to Splitcoast...do we want to make it next weekend so maybe more will be available?
Please don't change the date on my account because June is SUPER booked for me on the weekends. So, unless everyone else wants to, we'll just try to pick back up with everyone in July! Have fun all!
