I finished all my cards and the blitzes, I just have to upload them. Had a rough week with Nick. Getting ready to do that now. I always enjoy Falliday Fest. I'd rather be in my craft room making cards than anything else. My friends don't understand that.
Hugs,
All done after a few battles today. Need to think about getting real stuff done for Christmas now and praying we will be able to get public transport home from London tonight. We are booked to go to the carols at the Royal Albert Hall but today's snow and tomorrow's rail strikes could make travel interesting. Hubby checked and there is only 1 day between now and the 8th January when there isn't some kind of disruption. Going to enjoy the carols though!
Janine, that sounds like something I'd like to see and hear. How perfect to have travel issues right before a holiday...can't do much about weather but rail strikes??? Guess we can't do much about those either.

Jean - sadly UK is just strikes everywhere right now. Some I can sympathise with, like the nurses, but too many are holding the country to ransom. Cost of living crisis impacts most people.

Yes I have seen the news about the economy etc. I'm guessing we don't have a lot to complain about here, although we do like to complain.

Finished all my cards! I sold at a craft fair last Saturday and happily sold 250 cards; however sold almost all my Christmas cards so I need more! Falliday Fest helped. Need to make and address my cards, and hopefully get to the tutorials! I do love the challenges.
Hey Lydia....the only place that carries sweetened condesensed coconut milk here is Wally...and has xanthum gum in it but I'm going to try it anyways to make fudge...I'll let you know if it works...
I could have bought the brand you mentioned on Amazon for over $9 a can...nope...not happening.

Reason: forgot the word coconut!
The fudge worked! Yeah...a new item that I can eat and share with the grandchildren...thanks Lydia for sharing about the sweetened condensed coconut milk. Dairy free fudge was a hit.

Whew, finally made the time to upload the few challenges I was able to get done! Wish I could do all of them! They all sounded fun and got me off my computer and into my craftroom a few nights, except this week. Work, and snow, has gotten in the way of card making. Snow hasn't stopped but work is almost done for the week so hopefully I can work on some Christmas cards, or Christmas baking, tomorrow evening! Off to walk the dog and to see if they've plowed our road or if we'll be kicking fluff down to the mailboxes and back! I love snowy, winter evening walks. :smile
Congratulations to everyone that participated in Falliday Fest this year, ESPECIALLY to those of you who achieved Yeti status (to you, I admit I am struggling with a case of envy! LOL! )
I had just one more I so badly wanted to make for Dina's challenge, yet ran out of time due to a whopper of a snowfall these last few days and falling ill today - plus needing to vacuum on my lunchbreak rather than play with crafty things. I may still do that card eventually!
Blessings for a beautiful weekend and a very Merry Christmas,
Chrissy

Fun challenges and tutorials! Thanks to all the hostesses and admins who gave me the inspiration to reach my goal of 100 Christmas cards this year. You pushed me over the finish line! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

All challenges and tutorials were fun. Several of them taught me new techniques and gave spin off ideas. Thanks to all the hosts and the admin for creating this fun time.....Now that I have uploaded, posted, created a Yeti list and straightened up my piles I am ready to sit down and do it again.....Still thing we need a SPRING Splash event because the summer is crazy at my house and I basically have to close my room till FALL......
Wishing all my virtual friends and stamping cohorts the best of this Holiday Season. May you have time to enjoy family and friends and all the events important to you...
For the first time in 10 years, all four of my children will be in house for Christmas and 6 of the grands as well....#1 Grand is stationed at Fairbanks Alaska and though he will have a White Christmas it will be spent working and readying for deployment in January. I feel blessed and happy even though I know the chaos and noise levels will be active.
See you next year.....

I saw previous years and guess a YETI is someone who completed all the challenges and tutorials, but what does it stand for?
I am guessing that we will upload our completed list later, but just curious how YETI became the term they use!
Because I had the cutest little yeti in the graphics! So cute I added him to the thread icons
Greetings from the mostly frozen and below freezing SW Kansas...it is currently -8 here before wind chill and winds of 5-25 miles per hour. part of our town is without electricity but so far I am good. Sibling disagreement is running rampant in my basement as they argue on how to set up the hot wheels race track so will go play referee in a bit. Snow in form of dry icy particles came in over night and it was miserable going out of doors to take care of the family dog at my son's house....His 3 boys are good about actually doing the chores, not so good as cleaning up the mess they create while doing said chores....Grandma held a "how to clean up your mess" workshop before leaving their house and back to mine. Then they had to fold their sleeping bags(stayed overnight both last night and tonight) and neaten up the upstairs before they could go "play" rhymes with argue........Have a safe healthy Christmas and stay warm.

Ah, Pansy! Here in Wichita it was below zero when I got up this morning. DH had to go to the doctor for back pain issues and he's NOT a very confident winter driver, so I worried about him. Yesterday with the "freezing fog", I had to go out to the country store and pick up a grocery order. I grew up in Detroit, so I'm winter driving savvy, but found out Mother Nature can fool you- the car ahead of me signaled a right turn, I had plenty of follow room, but found myself slithering toward her, well, until I ricocheted off the curb. It spooked me a little.
Greetings from frigid East Texas! Our central heat & a/c kind of gave out late last summer, and now would produce air conditioning if we were to run it in such cold outdoor temps. Sadly, the wall-mounted heaters I got for heating can't keep up. It's about 57 degrees (Farenheit) in the house right now! Thankfully, still warmer than the 37 degrees outside. Mama & I are staying huddled under blankets and cats. LOL Anyway, I'm hoping I can find a better solution for our heating & a/c soon!!! Also just want to thank the hostesses & admins for the hard work behind the scenes for this year's Falliday Fest! It was so much fun, and I was happy to be able to complete & upload my projects for all the challenges & tutorials - by the deadline, even! The bag-a-lope especially I was able to use for my SIL's mother's gift. Thanks again to all. Hope everyone is staying warm. Take care, & happy holidays!

I didn't get as many finished as I would have liked (the weather and the holidays interfered, lol!), but it sure was fun, and has given me some great ideas for future cards. Congrats to everyone who completed all the challenges! And a huge, HUGE Thank You to all the hostesses, the mods, and everyone else who worked so diligently behind the scenes! You guys rock!

Reason: Added TY!
Santa has checked the list, everybody was nice ;-).
There were some gorgeous cards - I'm confirmed in my desire to try the gilded diecuts and Anita's wreath tutorial whenever I can find some time.
Many thanks to those who included the challenge keyword in their upload title, it speeds things up wonderfully.
Thank you Sabrina! I loved Falliday Fest and made so many wonderful cards! Thanks to all the hostesses and everyone who made this Falliday Fest so much fun!

Same, Liz! I wanted to do them all but real life got in the way! LOL
I am thrilled so many got to do them all, and even more thrilled (still) at all the work that went into putting those challenges together, hosting them, and now organizing the "aftermath" of Falliday Fest 2022!

Ohhhhhh Sabrina - firstly, THANK YOU for all your hard work! And secondly - I am so sorry... I had no idea including the challenge keyword in the title of uploads can be useful... I'm not sure that I did that for all (or any... ) of mine this year. I will amend my practices and try to remember to do that again from now on!
THANK YOU again to you and Lydia and everyone that made this happen for us - the "prize" itself of getting to participate was/is SO immensely wonderful! THANK YOU!
Hugs & blessings,
Chrissy

Since there are so few challenges compared to DTGD, you'll be amazed at the numbers this time! Y'all outdid yourselves!!
First - and you can't look at the gallery for this number, because we obviously have more keyworded than we have in the actual gallery this time - how many cards were made?
