I have had my WRMK envelope board for several years, and although it never did cut clean, it now won't cut the entire way through paper. (I use light weight colored copy paper for my envelopes). I have tried using foil to 'sharpen' the edge of the punch area, but it just won't cut clean. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance !
Oh my gosh ! Thank you Linda and Vic.. it does punch clean with 2-3 sheets of my copy paper... (Never new that.. using 2 or 3 sheets would also make the job go faster.. LOL)

Sometimes when my punch board won't cut clean I do a couple of presses using a couple of layers of tin foil. It just depends how bad the problem is. Give it a try....it might work!
I went through the same thing here with my WRMK Envelope Board. The only thing I found out when I posted the same problem, was to use a Tin Can..... It was EASIER to just get a new one, SERIOUSLY!!!
I can't imagine punching tin anything - cans or foil. Aluminum is much thinner & more crafter-friendly. (I've even sewn aluminum cans onto fabric postcards.)
The tin DOES PUNCH with the board! They say it sharpens better than aluminum foil. I've tried both, but my board just wouldn't sharpen up for me AT ALL! I still have it, HOPING I can find a way to sharpen it!

I'd like to see that! How did you even get a piece of a tin can flat enough to slide into the punch? Have you tried punching different weights of paper? As mentioned, paper that is too thin doesn't punch cleanly.
You have to be CAREFUL & cut up a pop can & slide it in there & punch! I normally use paper the weight for Envelopes for that board. I don't want to buy heavier paper for envelopes, adding to the cost of postage either. But it just tears as above in the picture.

You know what? I think you are right. I MEANT Aluminum cans--POP CANS. LOL Sorry for the mix up! It must be my age showing up!

I'll try to attach a photo of 5 postcards done with aluminum cans.

Have you ever tried a heavier paper to see if if would punch cleaner?
Like what weight are you thinking of? LOL Because I use 24 lb. paper for envelopes.
I think you should try some scraps of various weights to see what might punch. You might be able to double up your lightweight paper or put a scrap of card stock under it to punch through. I'm not sure why you're LOL, I'm just trying to help.

Don't be offended at my LOL I am a happy person. Maybe I just placed that wrongly. Sorry if I offended. Your suggestion is a good one. I might just try it. Another suggestion to sharpen the punch is sand paper, fine grade, but I found that tears up the plastic part of the board, even with being fine.

No amount of "sharpening" will help if the paper is too thin. As the OP discovered, doubling up the paper worked.

In the past I belonged to some "fabric craft" swap groups. One was post cards & the other one did ATCs, dolls, small wall hangings. There were a couple of international groups that did annual postcard swaps. I'm not sure if any of them still exist.

The WRMK envelope punch has measurements for MANY sizes of cards. Before I got one I would just cut a different style than that makes: Double the size of the card, add 1/4" each way, add flaps before you cut it, add closure flap before you cut it. Fold in the side flaps and glue, fold the closure flap, leaving a space for fingers to remove the card. You can punch half a circle or cut a shallow V to be under the closure flap. It's not hard once you do some.

Here is a video that might help you by The Frugal Crafter. She is not using a punchboard or any device, only pencil, ruler, adhesive and lot of tips.

WRMK Score Board has the exact same “punch board” without the punches. You would need to cut the notches and round the corners manually It is the same exact thing. I have the mini score board and make envelopes all the time with it. Even can use the online calculator for my measurements and everything. It is really no different from the punchboards. I do have the punch board.
You can get envelope making templates. The pen pal community has some great resources. I am on my iPad right now. my resources are on my computer. JetPens has some new envelope making tools.Kuretake has beautiful templates.
The punch on the WRMK is actually very easy to operate, because you can use the flat of your palm (assuming it's similar to the 3-in-1 punchboard). Before I got mine, I always used this tutorial: Any Size Envelope Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers, which is similar to what harvestmoon describes.
