Challenge Keyword: MIX306 Challenge Title: Put a Bird On It Host: Lydia (UnderstandBlue)
Hello and welcome to the Mix-Ability challenge here on Splitcoast! Our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!
Our projects can be any type – cards, scrapbook layouts, art journal projects, 3D pages.
My challenge today is inspired by my friend Gail. I had my class last weekend and we were talking about how we cover mistakes. She said "if all else fails - put a bird on it!"
So today - I want you to create a mixed media project with a bird on it. I used a Gel Press print and I stamped on it. I added white gel pen - so my mediums are acrylic paint, gel pen, ink.

They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

Oh yay....a beautiful sunshine yellow happy bird and an early post ...and I've got to go in to work early and will be home late :-(. But I'll find time later in the day...it will be a chance to use a die that's been sitting on my desk for a couple of months.
The early carder catches the bird. I had to skip my own morning warm-ups but I caught this rooster and my early bus to work. He might not land in my gallery till tomorrow, though, unless I get home in daylight hours. I
used scraps of oxidised shaving foam, clingwrap with Brushos and starch and watercoloured tissue paper, plus some Gelatos here and there.

your rooster looks great but you know what I think about them in real life!!, I'll wait to see it in the gallery to comment
Wish you a good day!!

Ohhh this challenge had my name written all over it. You wouldn't believe how often I stick a crazy bird on a background that suffered an oops-a-daisy.
