You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
It's Sabrina here as your hostess this morning, and we are going to be pulling out our stencils and a pen to add doodling.
You can go about this two ways - you can sponge colour on first (as in my Harlequin card) and then add the doodling on the coloured design, or with some outline stencils, you can trace around the outline and add your own doodling, somewhat along the lines of the Stamp Etching tutorial.
And of course if you don't have a stencil, please feel free to make a DIY one by cutting a suitable die from thin paper and using the negative for your stencil, as in my Christmas card.
Here are pictures of some of my experiments using a Dreamweavers metal stencil (needed my finest pen for that), a stencil cut with the Bethlehem edgelit, and two with a TCW stencil. Finished cards attached below.
Remember to use the keyword TLC683 when you are uploading. It's helpful (to the hostesses for sure!) if you come back and leave a link on this thread .
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Sabrina- awesome challenge, thanks! I was able to find a wacky blob type cutout and used a small branches punch for my background, dabbing the shapes with SU's Pool Party ink. Added some orange wacky blob shapes for fun. Main panel is from my stamping friend M.E. Wishing for warmer and sunnier days Here's tropical getaway!
