Uses for those stamp blocks...Don't throw those blocks away!
Been looking on You Tube for some projects using the blocks from rubber stamps. I plan on making a stand for my ATG gun, but still have lots left to use, so found some ideas...Wouldn't they make fun blocks for kids? Attach a sticker, then coat with Mod Podge...
and DIY Picture Blocks; What a smart idea!
At a workshop with Kae Pea (Rubber Moon Stamps), we made houses using blocks she couldn't use. We covered them with DSP, gesso'ed them for a more faded look, added chipboard windows and doors, stamped images, etc. (You could use stacked die cuts for 3D features.)
A trick to adhere DSP to a block - use your fave white glue, fold the paper around the edges and use a nail file (not metal probably) at an angle to file off the excess paper. (You can brush a little water onto the edges to make it easier.) Was worth the price of admission. We were so excited about that, and now Kae Pea (Kristen) sells a good file branded with her name. : D

I brought my fave tiny cat stamp and other small ones. Mine is "not* finished.

I don't keep rubber on stamps (just my very old rare stamps) and give them to my godfather who combines them and makes trays out of them. He cuts them in half to lessen the weight. I think I'm going to ask him to make small boxes for a couple of the larger prettier ones I'll be bringing soon.
That sounds awesome! My dad takes smaller pieces from bigger things he's made with leftover wood and makes things, but he's got so many already, he doesn't need mine. Boxes sound like a good thing to make with them!
Here's your laugh for the day. Got an ATG gun holder made. Didn't care to paint it or spend loads of time on it. Just hot glued it and painted it with glossy Mod Podge. It's functional, I don't have to hunt for my ATG and takes up less space then when it is laying flat on the desk or counter.
I haven't gotten that far with mine yet; just Mod Podged over it. But I wonder if the adhesive eraser would work or if sanding them down a little would work better.
