I just absolutely love reading on this forum and all the idea sharing. Very cool.
I'm 66 and been married to the same wonderful guy for 46 years. Have a son and daughter and one grandson. And a dedicated servant to three spoiled rotten kitties. Life is good!
Have always loved working with my hands. Had an embroidery and laser cutting business for almost 30 years. Got tired of it and sold it. Now I'm into computer sculpting and carving wood. Have a big iron cnc and lots of wood slabs from our Rodeo-Chedeski fire in 02. I computer sculpt wildlife designs (Linden Valley Carving). Hubby has health issues now and blew out his knee last year. Wrestling 100 lb plus slabs is no fun by yourself. So last year I decided to take up making cards and tags for our daughter's charity that she runs. Every few months I ship her a large priority box full of "stuff". She and her friends just love getting the boxes. And I enjoy making something with my hands. Gotta stay busy or I might get into mischief.
Will be glad when I've made the ten post minimum and can then start posting pics of some of my projects. With our woodworking the saying was "let's make sawdust". Now I guess it's "let's make scraps?" Hmmm Think I'll have to think of something a little catchier
Hey, by the way, does anyone use Corel Painter in their hobby? Bought it last year and it's kinda fun to digitally color my stamps now. I also scan my dies and digitally color those as well before cutting. Just curious if anyone else is doing this too. Might be kinda fun to have a little brainstorming session.
I'm having withdrawals....so back to my cardstock.

UnderstandBlue,Hey there. I was born in Texas! But haven't lived there since I was six or so.
We are actually in the mountains in Az. The ski run is about 45 minutes away. This is where the rest of the state flocks to when the valley temps hit 100 plus! But it is still warm here for about a month.
So anyone from SCS who is in the area, give me a jingle. We'll have lunch and talk shop. My door is always open....well I don't really have a door on my shop. ;)
Thanks for the warm greetings. Been working on cards with bird nests on them. Making the tiny eggs from polymer clay was sooo much fun. Getting ready to start Christmas cards and tags here in another week or so.
