Not happening on Chrome....I do everything through Internet Explorer, so this is a bummer for me.
You'll be happier in another browser - it's really painless, I promise. IE is prone to security issues, and causes 90% of the problems we troubleshoot - it's just not a fully functional browser.
The pop up ads interfere with being able to view posts, it's happening on all of my mobile devices. It's Google ads, which wouldn't bother me if they didn't pop up and block content. I've cleared website data and cookies, plus modified my Google settings, but the problem continues to persist. The issue won't keep me from visiting my favorite forum. I do wish something could be done to stop them from dominating content, very frustrating.
I do find they block content, pop out, when enlarging content on mobile devices to magnify text. Hope that makes sense

I take that back, they're still popping up in Safari, but only when supper zooming in close. I'm happy zooming to a level I can read isn't a problem now.
I thought of your tech people this morning while at Walmart. Their registers were down! Imagine the frustration with customers wanting to check out and leave. I pray for tech people all the time, really I do!
I hate to mention more problems, but is any one else having problems with no reply box! On my iPad mini ther isn't on and I have to click on little word reply, then I get the box. Is this just a change? I used to always have a box.
Sharon, I think you just need to click on the downward facing orange arrows over at the far right where it says Quick Reply and looks like a single line. If you do that, it expands and gives you the normal reply box ;-).
I know this because there's something similar in the galleries that I've clicked on accidentally .
I've been having the same issues. Didn't realize someone started this thread. I use both IE and Chrome. The ad screen shifts on the left side using both browsers at home and at work.
Hopefully there will be a "fix" soon. I've been living with it, but does get a little annoying.
Just happened to me again, I'm on an iPhone. Here's the ad link https://www.zulily.com/reborn-tunics-dresses?product_id=34594656&tid=31536673&product_id=_b6b39aff98150d9d.anonymous.google_1715 70717292_m
Lydia, suddenly the font is smaller on my iPad. It started when a new ad for Tide appeared on the left. Like the others, it gets in the way if I pinch to make the window/text larger. But it's happening in other places too - like where you announced the new feature. I can barely read it.
With the new feature or trying to fix the ad, could something have changed? (That's a rhetorical question. I know you're working on solving everything.)
Sooo... I was in one of the PIF threads and because of links, the page got extra long left-right. When I scrolled right, the ad sort of stayed in place and the board moved underneath it (hopefully you can see the scroll bar at the bottom so you can see how I've scrolled right).
I'm using Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 on a Windows 7 Machine.
I don't think I've seen the problem described the way I'm experiencing it, but my apologies if I am duplicating something already reported (I sometimes can't tell what I have and haven't read if there have been merges).
I have not linked to any more ads as it happens all the time all over the site. If you want me to capture any, just let me know. Hope someone can find a solution to this issue as it really can be annoying.....thx for the efforts
Lydia are you all still working on this? I have it in Safari on my iPad mini when I enlarge the page. Someone else asked if there is a way to capture the link on a mini. I assume there is not. Anything else iPad users can do to help? Thanks for all your efforts!

No - if you look back in the thread - we don't need any more links or screenshots - the team can reproduce it and are working on it. Sorry for the aggravation!
Lydia, there's another aspect to the ads not "sticking" to the page. There often is a blank rectangle or square on the top right after I pinch to enlarge a post. Sometimes it's more square and fat, sometimes more vertical and skinny.
Maybe that's part of things floating instead of staying attached, but thought I'd mention it just in case. iPad/Safari.

Yes - that's part of it - it's pushing the frames out so you're just seeing more of the right side of our grey background.
haven't posted here for a bit, but must say the issue of pop overs is still here....really interferes with viewing galleries.....always have to keep sliding the screen around. I am sure you are all still diligently working on this, but just thought I'd say that nothing has worked so far.......
thx for all you do....can't wait til this issue is solved.....

Still tough for me too, since I generally have to enlarge posts with the 2-finger open pinch thing on my mini iPad4 to read them. The ads cover part of the posts.
I know the team must be working hard on this problem too!
Does anyone else have trouble with the Ads on the left of the forum jump over a bit to the right to block the poster's information? It's annoying!!!
I won't stay long unless I can find a way to prevent that!
It's a Google ad that doesn't bother me if they stay put, but as soon as you start scrolling down the page, the ad jumps to the right to block information I might want to see. Even if I check the box to remove the ad, the space that ad took is blank, but it still blocks information I might want to see.
Very, very annoying!
