Default TLC617 ~ Easiest Ever Gift Card Holder ~ {12/19/16}

"Who has time for that?!"

We Paper Artists hear it all the time, right?!

People think they just don't have time to make a card, a tag, a gift, or anything else that involves a little creativity and a whole lot of love. And to be quite honest, this time of year does seem busier than usual for every person on the planet (well... ok... not EVERY person... but at least those celebrating the holidays that fall on the latter days of the calendar year.)

Time, for me, is an issue during the holidays. I have learned to make the KISS acronym last as sweetly long as possible... just like a romantic kiss from White Christmas (or the dance scene Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen... swoon!) So I look to the quickest and easiest gift packaging and gift giving ideas when it comes to my creative time.

The EASIEST EVER GIFT CARD HOLDER
is my "go-to gift card holder." And I am excited to share it with you today for the Technique Lover's Challenge!

HERE is my EASIEST EVER GIFT CARD HOLDER.

I have another version on my Always Stampin' YouTube channel if you care to check it out for variety. It's very similar but allows me to change it up and still be able to create a TON of gift card holders for the season.

Let's look at the steps to making the
EASIEST EVER GIFT CARD HOLDERS...

1. Trim a piece of card stock measuring 8-1/2" x 11" to THREE PIECES measuring 2-3/4" x 11". (That's another thing I love about this fold... THREE gift card holders from just one sheet of card stock... yay!)

2. Score each piece every 3-1/2". This will allow a 1/2" tab at the end of each piece.

3. Add a Mini Glue Dot to each corner of the 1/2" tab and fold over. This creates a pocket for the gift card.

4. Decorate and embellish as desired.

THAT'S IT

If you have a burning desired to squeeze some creative time into your busy holiday schedule, we would love to see YOUR version of the EASIEST EVER GIFT CARD HOLDER. Add your offering here in a comment below and be sure to add the TLC617 tag to your offering so that it will appear in the...

TLC617 GALLERY

Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, and Merry Christmas, everyone! And happiest of New Years!!!

Tonda, thx for participating! The idea is to "try a new technique" when you play along. Only new cards or samples are encouraged so that you yourself are convinced that you can be successful at the challenge Having said that, the bottom line is to encourage creativity. If this TLC encouraged you to make a card today, then woohoo! Good for you

I tried to find a gift tag like you asked but could not find anything ... so I just made this up. There is velcro to close it, and inside is a place for a card and perfume sample, for my friend.

Smile TLC617 Jolly GC Holder- outside and inside

Here's the outside and here's the inside of my gift card holder, with a Christmas theme- used 2 SU sets- Jolly Old St. Nick and Jolliest Time of the year for my images. Did some sponging for my backgrounds, and added a sentiment tag for the outside. Putting a coffee card inside!

Gotcha ;) I didn't quite see that since most people give gift cards instead of a gift... where a tag would be added to the gift. I like your generous heart... adding gift cards to your gifts! I want a present from Jan!

I added a belly band and turned it into an ornament, so I guess it's not so simple after all. Here 'tis: CC614 Ruth (closed) and CC614 Ruth (open)
