I am making these for my daughters teacher's for the end of the year.
just want to see what you think. I will post the card that I made to go with them soon.
Those are cute, but what's in the bag (the top part of the apple)?
I put Candy in the bags. I wish i would of did soup or something like that to go with the dish. but I have them done so I will just use the candy. the top part is brown ribbon. I did not have duck tape so I just used the ribbon. I would use duck tape next time. just did not have it. it did not take much time to do them. just getting the ribbon to stay on took more time. thank you again. this is my last year to make gifts for the teacher my kids all will be in High School and they won't take gifts with them like this lol I dont know why
Those are really nice! I'm a high school teacher and we never get gifts, LOL!
Thank you so much. it is so hard to know what to do for high school. I just can't see my kids walking around with something like this to give to High school teacher. maybe it is just me. I just dont know if kids would pick on them for doing this in High School ! it is so sad I would love to make things for you guys also.
I'm a high school teacher too, and I agree that we never get gifts! I'm sure your kids teachers would love something like these. If you are worried about your kids not wanting to carry them to teachers at school, just bring them in to the main office and let them deliver them to the teachers.
I once had a parent bring in a box of tissues and a large bottle of hand sanitizer, tied together with a cute bow and a note card for each of her kids teachers at the start of cold and flu season. It was a nice surprise and even though it wasn't really anything special or high in value, I still clearly remember it, and that was probably 6 years ago!
If you want to do gifts for high school teachers, do it!!! They will love anything you give!!!

Thank you. I just might have to do that. I am already going to make things for the teacher from the school they won't be at haha I just love making things like this. and like you said it dose not cost much so it is nice to know you all like the things. thank you again.
For the higher grades you could do something maybe not so obvious...like decorated post it notes or post it flags the kids can easily carry and give them quietly.
Or a made box with a lot of asst tea bags.
I never had enough pencils or pens when I was teaching....you could get the fun ones at Oriental Trading and then maybe make a pencase or chalk-never enough chalk and an extra good board eraser never goes amiss!
I was thinking of adding vinyl to a cute tote bag for end of year gifts. Anyone know where I can find a plain bag ? Also I want a "gussetted" bag. Not the simple flat bag.

True, it is more of an elementary thing! One year though, I sent my Jr. High at the time daughter with bags of peanut brittle for her core teachers. I made 10 or 12 batches that year! They had cute little bag toppers and were well appreciated 😊

Sometimes Walmart in our area carries plain brown bags like that

If you have time to wait for shipping, dharmatrading.com has a wide variety of plain tote bags. They sell stuff for tie dying, so all of their totes are plain cotton/canvas.
Any of you know of a poem that I can put inside my card. A a retired secondary level public school counselor and teacher, I can say that appreciation for our work is welcomed, regardless of how that is expressed. I have notes written by family members and students as memorabilia in yearbooks. Some go back a generation, as I spent many years in the same school district. That is why I still create goodies for my former colleagues. I know that food works, but have received plants, school supplies, crafting material, and gift cards. At retirement 3 years ago, I was given a planter and all but one plant is thriving. While a simple note of thanks works best, if you know your teacher can accept something more, it forms a memory.
