Another one gone... Do you think people hit burnout, or that the economy kills them, or some of each? Sad, either way...

Or maybe our rooms are so full we don't need any more - and every company puts out the same items- or comparable. Hard to keep coming up with new stuff. I think it is a hard industry to be in. No doubt a combination.

The blog says they are going to pursue the other businesses they have.

Top Dog Dies Blog - Catch up on the latest paper craft and scrapbooking news.

I did not know they have a custom die making business. Might be good for personalized wedding invites, etc.

I wish I could leave a comment and say good bye but like so many sites today you have to log in via a social media and I dont do those.

I got something b/c I try to support companies in such sad moments. And I wrote down the sandwich for using the wood dies- which I had forgotten already- but you take it for granted you can go back and look anytime.

I am just getting burned out because I do everything for my business. The demand for dies has gone way down from where it was just a year ago plus with electonic cutters a lot of people quit buying dies. I sell way more on Ebay every month than my storefront so I am seriously considering dropping my store. Its a huge amount of paper work and inventory nightmare to try to keep both straght.

Since my hubby was in an accident that rolled our Jeep there are so many things to take care of. We are so blessed that his life was spared.

Many blessings.

Oh Amber-so glad he survived and is ok! Scary! And thought provoking about priorities.

I am sorry to hear you are thinking about closing your B&M though. That kind of store is so vital to the character of a town/city imho. Who needs another Starbucks or whatever. But I can appreciate the doubling of the work load to do both that and online.

Amber, I hope all goes well with your husband's recovery! And best of luck with whatever business decision you make.

Top Dog Dies was a branch of AccuCut Craft. I love ACC and always take advantage of their 50% of sales (they occur a couple times a year, and the most recent one ends tomorrow), but only made a handful of purchases from Top Dog. TD didn't have very good promotions/sales, IMO.

I did buy my entire wish list during the closing sale, though! I happened to open their email right when they sent it, so I was able to get everything I wanted. I sent the link to a couple friends, but they weren't able to get everything they wanted because the site was running out of stock very quickly.

I got an email that 4 of the items I wanted were sold out so I will be getting a refund for those. They have already shipped!

I received a shipping notice and it appears everything shipped.

The order I placed the day before, during their BF sale, arrived yesterday. So glad I didn't go crazy and order a lot during the BF sale!

Are there any other online stores that carry Top Dog dies? Over the past few months I've checked for them at several stores, but never found any.

I've never bought any of their products, but have had my eye on the Dinosaur Trio for a while. Was just waiting for more must-have items before placing an order. Of course, I just saw this thread, and they are sold out.

Thanks,
Mary

Does anyone know if AccuCut Crafts makes any of the Top Dog Dies line? These were among the first dies I ever bought and they were the most wonderful dies. Always worked like a charm. I only have about three and then found out they were out of business.
