for me... paper all the way. I just do NOT enjoy digital magazines. While it's nice to find stuff to find and store on pinterest, I find it an annoying medium when I need a visual reference while creating.

I would never spend any money on subscribing to a digital magazine. It's just not user friendly and yes I have an iPad.

I hate paper magazines now. I love my digital content since I always have access to it where ever and when ever I want it. I don't always have to carry around a bunch of magazines with me to look at things. I do occasionally buy a magazine, but I consider that more of a treat.

Definitely prefer digital. Paper magazines just sit on a shelf collecting dust. I never refered back too them because I could never remember which issue had the page I was wanting. Various attempts to catalog them were too time consuming and epic failures. Much easier to perform a search on-line or bookmark. I also love the freed up space for more craft storage rather than a bunch of dusty paper mags that went unused.

I'm a paper fan all the way and I love to sit with a cup of coffee and read my latest mag. I use Pinterest but if there is some technique where I need detailed instructions, I print it out and once I've got the technique down, I recycle the paper. Once I read my paper mag I give them to friends, I don't keep them around because I usually don't go back and re-read them.

Lately I've subscribed to a few different paper magazines, but I'm still looking for my go mag. What I've tried so far have not been a good fit for me - to simple, to artsy, etc.

I haven't actually bought magazines for a long time, I get plenty of inspiration here and fan club membership is about the same as 4 or 5 magazines. But when I did, paper all the way. I subscribed to a couple of digital ones, but not for long. I've never looked at them again, whereas I still look through saved ideas from magazines s couple of times a year.
As a corollary to that, we also have 6 bookshelves full of books, so maybe I just prefer print ;-).
Recipes are the exception, I've bought no new cookery books in the last couple of years, looking online instead.
I don't like online catalogues either, I far prefer a hard copy.

When it comes to catalogs, I too prefer print. Unfortunately the only company I buy from that offers one is SU.

Paper. That said, I don't buy magazines. When I want visual inspiration, I go to Google Images. I've tried Pinterest twice, but that just doesn't work for me.

Paper. I also read books vs digital. I dont buy them though. I never have time to read them, but if I did, it would be paper.

Love Paper.... and I sometimes recycle pages to create with, or sell the magazines at craft fairs

if you create enough boards on pinterest; I have no problem using that as my source of creativity. My husband always says; I created a fire hazard with all the magazines. How quickly can you find an article with magazines stacked together? since I use bloglovin for my blogs; I don't need magazines that I have to pay for. Pinterest is so easy to find ideas under the boards I have specified to remember easily.

It was a difficult choice since I love both depending on the situation. However, I picked digital for 2 main reasons: 1)I love that digital doesn't take up space in my house (so much more room for paper and stamps!) and 2) as I age and my eyes are getting worse, it's nice to be able to zoom in on things.

a mixture of both, can I have that as my answer. I pick up a Cardmaking & papercraft magazine most months here in Canada, as I miss it since I moved from the UK, it is a few months out of date, but normally the freebie gift attached more then covers the cost of it. Other then that one magazine I am digital.

I do however, flick through my magazines on a regular basis to get inspiration, normally on a sunny Sunday morning sitting outside drinking a cup of green tea...heaven lol!

I'm like Beth, space and aging eyesight weight towards digi. Having said that, it's very satisfying to have paper in my hands, kind of obvious since I love paper crafts = ) . I go tho the library and get my fix for paper magazines.

UK magazines being between $12- $15 here, I only grab one if the freebie entices me enough to. Sometimes I like it, but will talk myself out of it because it's still pretty spendy to get a stamp set. (I usually will only choose ones that have a stamp and/or embossing folder and/or die I like - not when it's papers or embellies.)

Because I spend alot of time in waiting rooms at hospital & in treatment rooms with my loved one, I really love to have a paper magazine to thumb through. I take a small sketch book & pencil & sketch card designs or just brainstorm ideas. I do love to buy some of the UK magazines here in Australia - many of which have some great freebies - but I also 'recycle' older issues of the USA Paper Crafts mag over & over. I do have some digital copies of magazines on my laptop but I can't take my laptop to hospital because it's too heavy so I just forget that I have them. Maybe I am old-school but I just love the feel of paper in my fingers & it relaxes me to just sit down with a cuppa & look through a magazine. I see the merit in both & if I were travelling & had to travel light, having a Kindle or iPad loaded with books or magazines would be very practical.

I spend a lot of time visiting blogs already. Therefore, I would prefer a magazine. However, my two favorites are no longer in print: Papercrafts and CARDS.

Digital. My space is limited so I enjoy being able to have a library of back issues without having to find space to store stacks of magazines. They are just as user friendly and enjoyable on my iPad as paper copies are. :-)

I love having my own little library of magazines! (small bookshelf) It was so nice to just grab a handful and flip through them while having a good long bath! I have never found digi mags enjoyable. I just don't have the desire to 'flip through' a digi mag like paper.

I like paper mags myself... I've got quite a collection and use them a lot for card sketch ideas. I love Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine- so many awesome ideas in there!- and I've been picking up Just Cards at the craft store every once in awhile... I usually end up going through them and marking the cards I want to make so later I can just flip through and pick one out and go for it

Now that the question has been posed, I realize that I'm a true paper magazine kind of reader. Maybe it stems from my original enjoyment of flipping through catalogs perched in a comfy spot on the couch at the end of a day. LOL However, if I ever get a tablet, I can see giving digital versions a try for an all-in-one easy-to-carry visual pleasure here & there. If Santa were reading here, I might have a chance at trying that ... but the likelihood of that is less than zero, so it's all just speculation. ;)
