I keep trying to use the advanced search for the gallery. I go to the select a category option and select a category and then hit search. it always brings me back to "home-all" what the heck am I doing wrong. I have only been a member here four years! you think I might know this by now. any suggestions?

a search term, like a keyword? ok just for the heck of it, I put "crimped" in the keyword and picked the category "crimped envelope" (no I am not making that, I just grabbed a category!) and it pulls up everything with a bit of crimp on it, 229 pages and no envelopes that I saw. still no luck

Okay - I searched crimped and it worked fine - I just leave it on all categories - I suspect that when you choose a category, if it's not finding your search term there, it's returning you to home > all.
I guess that is what I didn't want is a broad search, most times I have no time to search thru hundreds of pages. I thought I could scroll thru the catagories and pick one and it would pull up all in that category. oh I hate being confused!

You can - can you give me an example of what you're looking for and I can try?

I have avoided using the search function on scs because all I ever come up with is the home-all and usually resort to pinterest. I just thought I could go to advanced search and scroll thru the categories and see one that looks interesting and click on it and it would bring it up. no?

On that page, click something like the "see more technique galleries" under the pop up diorama card and you'll see a giant list of those you can browse through. Same with the Anything but a card category - that has OODLES of subcategories you can browse through.
