Question Need cardstock help...pillow boxes...please

Good morning ladies, I need help from the well-informed women on here. I sell jewelry and my packaging is in a kraft cardstock pillow box. I cut them using a Sizzix die with my Big Shot. What would be the best pound cardstock to use? I'm currently using a thin one purchased from Hobby Lobby and it's too thin for my liking. BUT if I go too thick, then I'm afraid that the scored edges will break open, tear, or have those ugly frayed edges. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Brand suggestions, poundage, etc...I appreciate all if your comments!

Your jewelry on Etsy is BEAUTIFUL! The only thing I have used for pillow boxes is Vellum cardstock (heavier than plain vellum) from Stampin Up, and they came out very nicely. I don't know if the Vellum cardstock is the same 80# weight as their other cardstock. I haven't tried anyone's Kraft. All the best with your Etsy store!

Neenah makes a kraft colored cardstock called Desert Storm - I would think the 80# weight would be right for what you're doing. I'm taking a peek - you do beautiful work!

Wow, thank you for your help AND the comments on my jewelry! I make what I like and hope that someone out there likes it too...lol. This whole kraft cardstock/pillow boxes thing is making me crazy! I went onto SU's website to ask what weigh their kraft is. I used it long ago, but their website doesn't give the weight which I thought was odd.

Donna,
I have several different kraft colored card stocks. I would be glad to go try them out on the pillow box and let you know. Let me know if that would help you. Jill

Pumpkin, Hobby lobby now has an extra heavy cardstock and it IS. It is in the paper aisle and does come in kraft. I have bought several packs already whenever they have all their Paper Studio brand on sale it is 1/2 off so $4.50 for 50 sheets.
Do you have the earring hole punch to make your own jewelry display cards. I found that on clearance at H. Lobby and also the long slot punch with a circle hole in the center to punch the top of the display cards..........on clearance as well.
