FS398 ~ Ring a Bell and Make it Fast..... ~ {9/21/14}
........because we are saying goodbye in the Featured Stamper Challenge today to our Belfast hostess, Bridget Finlay!
Bridget has been a FS Hostess since the first week of March in 2012, and has been a sweet, supportive, and faithful hostess, as well as a woman with a beautiful and encouraging spirit.
There comes a time when we all need time to pursue other things, and now is that time for dear Bridget.
The FS Challenge Hostess team is very sad to see her go, and wanted to have a SURPRISE send-off party full of celebration and fun!
So, today we are taking a slight detour in the FS Challenge, and going to honor Bridget as a way for everyone to say THANK YOU! She was FS214 in March 2011, but today she is a Featured Hostess!
You know her {gallery} is just one big dollop of gorgeousness, so get to looking and then come back here and leave a note for Bridget and her farewell!
Stacy says: Bridget I am gonna miss you sweet friend! We are so lucky that you hosted with us over the last 2 years! Gasp! It has been since March of 2012, time flies when you are having fun together! I know we will stay in touch but we will miss you the same! I have more in my write up to say too. ;) Don't need to spill it all here. ha ha Hugs!
Julie says: Oh, sweet Bridget! I will miss you dearly as one of our team! But I know you'll still be uploading and playing in challenges when time permits. You have such style, grace and artistic ability...you inspire me to be better in all ways! Thank you so much for being a part of our team and a part of Splitcoast!!
Judy says: Bridget, you have inspired me with your beautiful work, and beautiful spirit. I am just in awe of your artistic talent, and love looking at your work for inspiration. I will miss you as a teamie, but know where to find you -- and plan to get to Belfast again one day to meet you in person!
and FINALLY, Bridget sends these words to all of you: It's been an absolute joy to be a Featured Stamper Hostess over the past few years, but changes to my schedule and new commitments mean that I have had to make room for someone else to have the fun!
Thanks to Lydia for giving me the opportunity to be a hostess and to Julie, Stacy and Judy, who are no longer just FS team mates, but dear friends.
With all of the fabulous talent here on SCS, the hardest part of the job has been choosing just one person when my turn came around - I wish you ALL could be Featured Stampers! But whether we're consciously CASEing a card or not, we're continually being inspired by one another, just by being here - thanks to each one of you for sharing your creativity and for participating in the FS Challenge!

HOW DO I PLAY?:
Go to the Featured Stamper's gallery and CASE a card, following these simple CASEing Guidelines:
1. Change 2 or more things on the Featured Stamper's project. It could be a color combo, embellishments, backgrounds, or even the main image could be different -- but similar because you don't own the exact image. Please list the changes you made in your description.
2. Give credit to the original stamper and put a link to the original card in your description.
3. Fan Club members may upload today (Sunday). Non-Fan Club members are encouraged to play, but please wait until Monday to upload your creations to give our volunteer moderators a day off. This is so much appreciated.
4. Please note the following regarding Sketch Challenge cards: If you are keeping the same layout but changing most everything else on the featured stamper's card, make sure it isn't a sketch challenge card (SC###). The reason is because it is essentially is a CASE of the sketch since it isn't the Featured Stamper's original idea. Sketch challenges include Mojo Sketches, Design Team Sketch Challenges, and Blog Sketch Challenges, etc. Please be sure to check the keywords!
Oh Dear Bridget, wherever your endeavors take you, go with the beauty and grace you have shown all of us! May you find a rainbow at every turn, and may God be with you every step of the way.
I personally am blessed to have gotten to know you via SCS. Even more so, as I have some of your beautiful creations gracing my home. You are an inspiration to me, just as you are to so many others, and not just here on SCS, but in your personal life.

Bridget I am gonna miss hosting with you girl!!! Casing you, well... you know how I think about that. Can't be done nearly as good. I did try. Here is my Closed Doors case.
Oh my - too many nice words make me cry! No chance of a girl quietly riding off into the sunset on her horse with you girls around! I'm away from home right now, but look forward to getting back and being wowed by this beautiful gallery! Thank you!
Bridget and her work have always been an inspiration for me. Her more recent watercolor cards are phenomenal and her past ones were often a wonder of mixing just the right colors and patterns(she was a MASTER of that). But above all, it is her warm personality that comes through in her comments and PMS.
Best of everything in your new endeavors and/or commitments, Bridget. As for FS, you can always be proud of a job WELL DONE! Hugs, Sallie

Well, it's sad to see you leave your position as FS Hostess, but that doesn't mean you won't be creating any more cards, right? I'm back home now, and even a quick glance at this gallery tells me it's absolutely amazing! Thanks so much, everyone, for your kind words. Yes, I'll still be around and still be stamping, but just not as much, gone are the days of being able to do daily challenges regularly! Now off to take a look at each and every beauty here, and if I end up having to go to bed before I'm done (because it's 11:00 pm here in the U.K.) I'll be back first thing tomorrow morning!

Judy, I can't believe that Bridget has never been the Featured Stamper, so great call. Congratulations to Queen Bridget. I have long been an admirer of her artistic creations. Plus, she is always so kind and encouraging to all of us here. When you check out Bridget's gallery you can see that she never 'phones it in'. All are masterpieces. So I'm going to have a rough time choosing one to CASE but hope to be back later with my version of something awesome. Have a special week as Queen, Bridget.
Oh Bridget!!! You will be missed!!! Your sense of color and style always wow me!! I am so glad that we will still see your beautiful work now and then but sad it won't be quite as often. You know I love your cards, Bridget! Early on you were so kind to me and encouraged and inspired me to keep making cards, which I very much appreciate! You have featured some great stampers and I'm glad that today, I can make a card for you. Wishing you the Best of Everything!
You have become such a familiar face around here. 12 months ago my schedule took a different direction but every time I got a chance to come back here it was always a joy to see that you were still here doing what you do best - being positive, supportive and active. I'll miss you too. All the best
