this is my 3rd reply today for search info. i will paste my second response to save time...
“try doing an internet search for “internet archives wayback machine” and search there.
don’t forget to pick a date from the year you are hunting for date search.
i do not have a computer and have not used wayback machine, but i have heard many people mention that is where they found old internet items.
wouldn’t it be awesome if someone on this website, using the wayback machine, started a listing/collection/group of stamp companies’ catalogs and dates for the wayback machine?
i am a newbie and i thought i saw a thread about stampin up stamp image collection. to save server space at splitcoaststampers, i would suggest just a list of stamp company names and dates of when in business along with catalogs dates. then the members could look up the info themselves on the wayback machine.
i do not have a computer or the skills/patience/knowledge to try to do it myself for the group...”
happy hunting

ps after i am more familiar with this website and solve my problems with internet provider, i would try to do some of the research. that doesn’t mean i would be very successful trying to do it on a phone
Hi Sue,
Just to explain - the index card project is a bit different to other searches. Because of the historical origins of the site (set up by an SU! demo), we have individual galleries for all SU sets since the inception of the site (and some pre-dating that). The index cards (where they have been created by volunteers) are stickied at the top of each gallery, so that it's easy to see at a glance what stamped images and sentiments are in any given set. They're a quick reference tool, and can also be used to identify images as each index card, except some of the earlier ones, includes a description of the stamps and sentiments which is easily searchable.

hi Sabrina
i do understand index card project is different and the reason for it. great resource!
my suggestion is for an entirely new simple list (spreadsheet? just a few columns?) of stamp companies and when they existed, where or links to stamp lists or catalogs. who bought them if change of ownership. text instead of images would take much less server space.
I can do Butterfly Wishes and Good Morning Magnolia.

Please let me know if I am approved to make an index for these two sets.
I'm not the one in charge, but Kthaman (Karen) is a busy lady. If no one else has claimed them before you in the posts or on the list on page one, you will be approved to do them.

Thank you for letting me know that.
I will upload the ones I've mentioned by tomorrow.
Somehow it ended up in the Dirty Dozen gallery for January 2019. Wouldn't you know, I finally made it to the Dirty Girl gallery--but with THIS?! I wouldn't know it except that someone kindly commented on it and I saw that it is the Winter Woods Fan Club Gallery--and this is the Winter Woods Index--so that must be how the mix-up occurred.

Ack - thank you for pointing that out! I will have to be much more careful in the future!

OK, all indexes that have been uploaded have now been processed.
I also cleaned up the "old" list (on page 1 of this thread) to remove assignments that are 1year old. Please take a look and see if you can help out with any more sets - thank you, thank you!!
Karen I have the following sets that I can do as long as everyone is willing to be patient. I probably cannot get to them until the end of July or the beginning of August. If that is o.k. I have:
From 2019-20: Sweetly Swirled
2018 and Prior:
Angels on Earth
Cookie-Cutter Halloween
First Frost
Florentine Filigree
Flourish Filigree
Illuminated Christmas
Magical Mermaid
Thank you so much Karen for keeping up with this. It is always so helpful to have an index at the beginning of each stamp set. You are wonderful!
