Just ordered the dress-up framelit. I am using it for my Christmas card this year......Mrs. Santa's dress. I also have other cute ideas for it too. No shipping this week either! Yay!

No not the Pewter embossing powder! Its what I use on my gears. Wonder what theyll. Ome out with to replace the sponge daubers? Maybe something like the ranger tool.
Holy smokes, who the heck created those printable lists? I don't know if they were trying to keep down the number of pages, but when I try printing those as they are on 8-1/2 x 11 paper, the print is so tiny you can barely read it, and it barely covers 1/2 the page from side to side. I finally gave up, enlarged them to 150% and printed on 11x17 paper on my work printer, but most home inkjets don't have that option.
Lists by page number - I didn't check the conversion word for word, just spot-checked and everything I looked at seems to be correct.
I sorted these by page numbers within their groups - the hostess sets are still separate from the regular stamps; the cardstock is sorted separately from the embellishments, etc. If you are looking for one big list with everything by page number, let me know.

My thoughts exactly!
I was surprised to see the both wheel handles retiring.
Does this seem like more retirements than usual aside from the paper? Just wondering if they are coming out with a lot of new stuff non paper.
No, I don't think so. The number of stamp sets is in the average range, at least.
They are getting rid of wheels entirely, however.
I think the bigz dies are probably going because of the framelits. Why have circle dies that take up tons of room as a bigz (or have to have a lot of bigz dies) when the framelits nest so well and gives all sizes for less money and lots less space. Framelits are a hot item.
As for the rest, the pattern I've seen for the past 15 years is that something retires and something different replaces it. After a period of time some things just get stale and don't sell. It's best to replace those. And it happens every year.
With the new Project Life products, wheels are too large and likely weren't selling all that well for a while anyway. I have exactly 2 wheels intact and cut apart the Christmas sayings. Plus, I haven't seen much lately with the Coordinations paper on blogs or YouTube. But I am surprised they retired the latest InColor ribbon and embellishments, those usually stick around the full 2 years. And I agree about the Framelits being much cheaper with better storage options than bulky standard dies.
Nothing is going that I'm all that sad about, I'm ready for new things!
I just checked the website. Reinkers and paper for Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit are already sold out! I totally forgot those colors would retire so didn't bother to order earlier. Bummer.

Remember, sometimes just because something retires it doesn't mean it might be going away forever. They also retire things when they change the way they package them. So, it stands to reason the core'dinations paper may be repackaged. No inside info, just a though!
I think retiring things creates demand. Hoarders. Lol Myself included! And, offer Hoarders (myself included!) free shipping and look what happens??! We all get giddy and order!! I'll bet the retiring list and the following days (weeks?) are the biggest sales for the company. I'm sure Stampin Up is thrilled with retiring things. And we are all thrilled as the buyers! Everyone comes out a winner!!

the big bummer about this is that framelits are a one trick pony... they cut paper. dies cut all sorts of things and you can cut six layers of paper at one time. I love my dies.

After moving my whole household this week (just me and hubby...with one on the way I can't imagine the amount of stuff that we will have next time) I WILL NOT ORDER RETIRING STUFF AND I WILL NOT HOARD :-)
Someone remind me I said that in a year, ok?
Seriously, I need to downsize in a BAD way! I'm planning a garage sale for not only SU stuff but normal household stuff this spring since I think being in the Chicago area we will have way more "business" than in our old hometown as well as more options for Craigslist. I have WAY too much stuff!!!!! I'm sure I'll forget that once the new catalog comes though lol!
I am NOT ordering anything at all from retiring list! I'm hoarding my money in hopes that I will love the new catalog. I was disappointed with the last one, so I'm hoping they will have much to love in the new one!
