Oh, I'm so sad to hear this. One of the Very special parts of this thread for me has been meeting many of you in person. I had that very, very special opportunity to meet Kristin (and her hubby Shawn) when they were in Niagara Falls. I went up for the day. Kristin and I laughed and talked, (and talked and talked). We toured Niagara Falls together while her husband was in a business meeting. It was very special and I absolutely have the best memories. I attached my scrap page of us
Wow, I was so sad to lose Misti earlier this year too. I have never laughed so much than I did spending the weekend in NM with her & her family.
Kristin and Misti were with us on the Very first couple years of our Scrap Journey together

I am so so sorry to hear this. I knew she had been battling cancer for a long time, but I didn't realize she was doing so poorly. She has always been so upbeat here and made me smile. She and her family are definitely in my prayers.
As I posted it in my gallery, I realized that yesterday was the first Tuesday in February and I was supposed to post Task 1 of the challenge...oops! I promise I'll post it tomorrow!
I just clicked on CanadianKristen's blog to see how she's been doing and with a heavy heart, I ask that our scrapping family here keep her and her family in our prayers. I just read that on Saturday she gathered her children around her to let them know she was not going to be going home from the hospital where she has been for over 3 weeks now. Her journey has been very courageous and she's been extremely positive throughout this battle.
Very sad...I can't imagine what the family must be going through right now. I don't know her, but I will keep her & her family in my thoughts & prayers.

Good somber morning,
I just read the post about Kristin... :(
She has been on my mind and in my heart the last few days anyway. My hearts is so full of prayers for her and her family. We only met virtually here when this section got started but we become instant friends, her whit and love for The Lord is unforgettable, there were days that she spread sunshine on my gloomy day, just by being here with all of us. We went through momma overload and homeschool trails and ideas together. We scrapped boy pages like crazy together... So many things and stories we shared, nobody will ever convince me that all we are here or ever will be are just "imaginary friends" I miss Misti dearly and my heart and prayers go out to Kristin and her family.
Let's all case and / or scrap a page for her this weekend at VSBN.
What is Kristin's user name so we can check out her gallery to scrap lift?

Thanks for the link Terry, checking it out now.
I had never "met" Kristin through scrapping but I remember seeing her face around here.
I will check back later tonight to see what challenges await!
Good Morning everyone,
Just an FYI- Designer Digitals is having a quarterly sale, with a chat today. The chat is in the events section of the Forum, and for each chat they offer a digital freebie for inspiration.
So, as you may guess, I am being doubly inspired!

I was writing up my Inspiration Challenge and this was my very idea. She was such a joyous individual on this site and I too enjoyed chats with her and Misti ~ they made me smile and laugh frequently.
I am home for the weekend and will now be able to participate in VSBN :-). I've had a not so fun week but not bad either so I am ignoring the housework and playing in my scrap room. I just got done cleaning up my room, have a movie playing and it's a cloudy grey day ~ perfect scrapbooking scenario!
I'm off to catch up on a few challenges. Hope to chat with you all soon :-)

Nice chatting...took me a bit to find the spot where they are. I always have a hard time on that site...not sure why. The freebies are great! I'll have to try and use them today too. Thanks for letting us know.
Is anyone else having trouble uploading right now? I've been trying to upload to my gallery but nothing happens. I haven't done anything different on my end....
I know what you mean Sharon. This might be the only time I get to scrap for the next couple of months. I've got to go now and make beds after washing sheets so DH can go to bed. He's usually in bed by 8 or before so his time is creeping up on me.
hello hello! It's been a while since I've been here. I have become the costume mom for the dance team by saying "I can help if it's not difficult". Well, 24 costumes later...it was difficult! I've learned a lot though. So, needless to say, there hasn't been any scrapping getting done. I did have a scrapping weekend with girlfriends a couple of weeks ago and did a few pages only because I didn't take my sewing machine. haha!

off to check out what's been created!
It's nice to "see" you again Michele.
Here's the last one I'll be doing tonight...couldn't resist these pictures. It'll make a nice blackmail later on!
My one word for the 1st challenge of the VSBN is Spooky. I probably should have used 1 photo but I was trying to make sure all the words could be read. I had a hard time getting a good photo & it's really hard to see in my post. Hope you can read the journaling for the entire story.
Since I did not think I would get many pages done I set a very small goal of 1 page per month. So far I managed to get 6 pages done in January and 2 this month. I credit the fun challenges as if not for them I would not have gotten any done at all.
Here is the page I did for the Feb Scraplift challenge: Opryland
Well rainy days are great for scrapping but definitely make me sleepy! I got a couple of pages completed and a couple of pages started before I had to go to bed :-). I'm up early today and got a few 'to do' items off my list...dd2 made varsity as a freshman & we are 'sports gearing' it up but I had a short window to order girls lacrosse gear for our family to wear. Now off to finish my pages before going to a grad party meeting at noon for dd1. These next few months are going to be C.R.A.Z.Y.!!! ( but fun & great photo ops ;-) )
I think it finally stopped snowing here (NEPA). I'm glad because I have to go to a meeting in the morning that about 60 miles north of me. It always happens that way.
When's the baby due, Anavon?
I think this is the Chat Thread but I'm not sure. I think everyone is scrapping...LOL!

Thank you and baby is due tomorrow. I thought waiting for my own babies was bad, but this grandma thing is crazy nerve racking...
stopped in to read and off to go make some comments. Hope everyone had a good Sunday!
