Thanks Ina , I just bought one more drawer unit today, we carried it up to my hobby room and within ten minutes I had filled two of the four drawers, I have so many drawers now I can store my craft items into die cutting, stamping, etc, etc, trouble is I keep forgetting which drawer things are in.
It certainly is working already, Ina! My cardstock was a complete mess and I frequently bought new because it was easier than trying to find what I wanted; now I can see exactly what I have (following a lot of pruning) and it's also reminded me of techniques I haven't used for years...2 large binders of teabag folding papers; a drawer full of iris folding papers; a drawer full of Pearl-Ex pigments; a collection (unused) of pearlescent inks - I vaguely remember buying those about 10 years ago.........
trouble is I keep forgetting which drawer things are in.
I can recommend the Dymo Letratag for labelling!!! Bought mine about 3 weeks ago and am on my third 4m roll of tape - everything is beautifully labelled but I can't find a thing because I've moved odd items into other drawers and not included them on the labels!
I've been moving things around as I've been working it's not until you are working that you realise things aren't in the right place so I think it will be a while before I can label my drawers.
I haven't had a chance to stay caught up on the board, but I have carved out a little time for cleaning and crafting. I finally posted the 12 cards that I did a couple a couple weeks ago as well as the pages that I have completed.
I have been working on cleaning my craft room and making it a more user friendly space. And so far it has been great. I have uncovered things I had forgotten I had and tried getting things out in the open so that they will actually get used. I know that I have to get it done while it is cold because once it gets nice enough to spend any amount of time outside that is where I will be. Flowers and yard will take over! Can't wait for that!
I'm with you Jeanne Ann. As soon as the weather is conducive to gardening, I am out there!
I'm glad you got busy cleaning your craft room. Isn't it rewarding to find long lost items and to organize things? I will be checking out your cards.

I updated my totals. after my spending. I decided this year to pay myself $2.00 every time I post on my Blog. I just started the Blog this past April, so it is pretty new, still.
I am looking forward to the AOCC thread. I am missing it this year. I have only done 4 cards in 2014.
Good for you Sharon! You are well in the black. I have kept in the black, but only a little, as I have spent some at Michaels and also from Designs by Ryn

Here is a card I made using one of the images you sent me about two years ago, Ina!!!
Love that golf image. I also used the keyword AOCC14, anticipating that.
I'm posting a bit early today, as I will be busy tomorrow and if Sheri hasn't started the AOCC thread by morning, I will get it started, sometime between my walk and my engagement at 10:00.
I don't know about you, but I have a 1/2 shelf full of different coloured embossing powders that I rarely use. Some have never been used. So I am challenging you to use a seldom used embossing powder. If you only have white and clear, feel free to use that, but if you have colours like me, go ahead and try one of those.
Just checking in. My balance is staying at 0. I'm not buying anything and I haven't had a chance to make any cards. I start doing taxes tomorrow. I cut my time down to one half day a week. Just don't have the time for more. Hopefully, I won't have to reschedule any appointments. All depends on DH's doctor appointments.
Neither have I Sharon, I've got a stamped image still on my desk from a challenge but luckily I have an image I stamped and embossed the other day, so I will make that in a card for this challenge, have so many embossing powders, another thing that I couldn't live without.
I have to admit my DD uses my seldom used supplies much more often than I do. Recently she asked for my Tattered Angels bottles. Guess she figured that since they hadn't moved in over 2 years and had some dust on them that it was a safe question to ask.
I will break out the embossing powders and see what I can come up with this week!
Today would be a snow day if it was not a weekend! I plan to take advantage of that and get some crafting done and possibly a little craft room cleaning done as well. With 2 teenagers both working today and the hubby having a ball game to watch I know I shall enjoy the peace of having the room to myself!
My card for the challenge Embossing, just a simple card and I haven't decided if its to be an Anniversary card or a Birthday card yet so Ive left it plain for now.
I've been busy over the past couple of days making cards, posting to my blog and updating my Picture Trail album for the first time in nearly a year. I'm giving myself financial credit for all that.....and I'm still in the red!!! Ah well, I do have some cash tucked away ready for a show at the end of the month so if I don't spend it all there I'll fiddle the books just a little more. A couple of major spends have been because I found some hard-to-get items which I really needed (honest I did!) so I'll try to rein in my purchases now.
I have been enjoying the weekend with some crafting and prom dress shopping. Here is what I have added to my totals with so far. I took part in a few challenges to get the fun going!
S2S14F Challenge is to show wood! You can use a wood texture dp, an embossing folder or even a tree stamp. After all, trees are wood! Here's a good chance to get a card made for a man! I don't have a sample for you yet. I was working on the YCDI challenge for this week. Go on over and give it a try, if you run out of challenges this week.

Ina great challenges so far. Now I just wish I had time to sit and do them. (sigh)
I broke down and made the trip to Des Moines Friday night to go to Archiver's. I had been resisting, but the lure of 75% off was too much for me. Glad I waited until then to go. The store was pretty picked over and I still managed to spend $53. I'll update my totals at the end of the month.
I'm back in the business of playing in my stamp room. It's an awful mess to say the least. My daughter has taken over everywhere and hasn't done any cleaning up for many months. It use to be I cleaned up after her but it got too far out of hand.
I finally went in there the other day and cleaned my side, partially that is. It is a 6 foot table we share. One end we have a little cabinet that holds some supplies, then there is supposed to be our places opposite each other with our lamps and other misc supplies. The there is a nearly useless unit from Michael's down from our places - it's in the center basically. On the other end of the table is the Big Shot and the dies. She has stuff piled in the floor, making it difficult to walk to the shelves where all my wood stamps are. Everything is such a mess!
But, I have renewed ambition to clean it up - even if it means boxing up some of her "stuff" and putting it in the garage until she can sort through it. So checking out this thread will be motivational for me.
I have managed to play some and have made my calculations for 2014. Since I haven't spent any money on crafting yet I am all in the "black" so far. That will change because three of us - DD, friend, and I - are going on a Shop Hop the end of this month - The fact we don't need anything will not stop us for buying more I'm afraid - lol.
I've edited this post to add a photo of the space a couple months after I bought this house.

Sounds like you have a plan Joyce Ann , luckily I only have myself to blame for any mess in my craft room, I do always clear up after each project as I cant work in a muddle.
Good morning everyone. This is the third Monday of the month, so it's a technique challenge. This week I am challenging you to try a special fold card technique that you haven't tried before. I chose the six fold card. If you are in the YCDI challenges you could even chose this week's challenge and make it a double challenge card. pictures attached. I haven't quite finished decorating the card yet.

Good for you Joyce Ann. Our focus this year will be on getting organized and using up supplies. My crafting space (oops, whole house) is always a mess, so it will be a real challenge for me! I had my crafting table almost cleared off and then I made a batch of cards and I am in a big mess again.

I, too believe in this concept - even if not completely, at least put away the tools and supplies! I will leave some scraps of paper in a pile next to my space instead of putting them all in the various scrap bins, but they frequently give me inspiration for the next project anyway.
Love the idea of your "folding" challenge Ina, but I'm probably not up to that much thinking yet!

It's a gorgeous day here in Ontario. Sunshine, snow and quiet. It's family day, so most businesses are closed, as are the schools. We just had a 70 minute walk in the cold. We really had to bundle up, but it was beautiful. -14 F. degrees with a wind chill of -22 F. degrees. Here is a photo from my front window.

Looks gorgeous Ina, our Grandsons have the day off too for Presidents' Day, unfortunately jennie had to take a days holiday as they don't have the holiday from work.
They are having a celebration tonight for our sons 40th as jennie has to go away to a conference tomorrow, his birthday, can't wait to hear what he thinks of his card, you wouldn't believe it took nearly three weeks to arrive!
Hey ladies. Just checking in to let you know I've not vanished - again. Just really swamped with work and trying to work through the Get Organized Challenge.

Joyce, you mentioned in the picture about possibly covering the table with contact paper. I wouldn't. I would get a roll of brown craft paper or newsprint (Often times printers will sell - or even give away- the end rolls and craft stores will sell partial rolls of their craft paper at a rate - check framing dept.)
Then you can use it as a stamp off area, get it messy then throw it away and start fresh when necessary. You might also look into a sheet of laminate to put on there. Laminate will wipe down real easy (even removing glue) with rubbing alchohol
