Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
Okay, I'm going to take the plunge ... count me in! It will definitely be a challenge. In six years I've put exactly 6 cards in my gallery. So I average one card a year. LOL

1) make 50 cards (I know, I know, but I have other goals )
2) sort, purge, organize half of my 12 x 12 dsp. (I need to measure so I will know when I have reached half way, but I think there is about 8 feet of shelf space of 12 x 12 dsp.)
3) continue to sort (keep/sent to OWH) cards as I find them when organizing.
4) MAIL THE BOX to OWH!

Pansy, have your thread up in the browser. Copy the URL that shows at the top of the browser.
Now click on the link up on the top right that says "welcome, c-mouse" then on the left hand side, click "edit signature" and then, click the icon that has the earth with a chain link on it. Paste your URL in to that. Hit OK. You will see some HTML that starts and ends with URL in square brackets. Inside those brackets is the same URL (it is probably highlighted) and this is what displays in your signature so you can edit that to read "2014- 100 by 100 -First Round" or "Jen is awesome" - whatever you want, really.
When I have some spare money to spend on postage, I'd love to PM you with some pics of stamps I would be happy to trade. That way, we don't have to move to a swap thread. Dealio?

Does that help?
Jen
Well ---- a little bit.....when I do as you said,,,( which is what I did to post the first bit) I then backspaced out all but the 2014-100 and typed in the rest....You can now get to the thread from the link in my signature BUT you have to be sure you click on the bolded words 2014-100 -----so that is better but not real cool looking.....Will keep playing....

Hey everyone! I see a lot of familiar names from swaps and Wish Rak. Count me in, I've either got to purge, use some stuff or move to a bigger house (my husband is not into this idea, lol). Will be a challenge to not spend, I tend to love to buy more than to use, but I'm game. I better get some white card stock before we start or I won't be able to create at all.
Thanks for organizing Pansy.
My goal is to start on New Years and do 100 cards (hopefully one per day) and not buy anything until the 100 are done!
Angie, that made me laugh about having 8 feet of paper, I'm the same way!
Angie and Kathleen....I can't even imagine 8 feet of DSP......when Angie posted I went down and checked.....I have 4 inches of 6 x 12 DSP (I wacked it in half) and 1.5 inches of 12 x 12. and about 6 inches of pads of DSP.

I can't help it. I'm a paper junkie. I have one girlfriend that will NOT let me buy Christmas paper if she is with me and I see some I like. Maybe I should take pictures and carry them with me so I can pull them out every time I am tempted to buy more.
Now there is a concept I hadn't thought about: measuring the height of all my DP. I know I have a chair stacked about 3 feet high with paper stacks plus a 4' wire rack filled to capacity with loose paper plus at least 3 individual plastic 12 x 12 bins (about 3" thick). And that's just 12 x 12 paper. I have a paper problem!!! That is just one reason why this challenge will be really good for me.
Hey gals! I hear ya about the DSP I probably have about that much too. I don't want to know for sure in case it is more. I had tons of Card Stock and not so much paper until my scrappin friend Tammy rubbed off on me. It makes my head hurt just looking at all that paper. She and I made a pact to not buy many supplies in 2013. I think I only bought one pad of paper this year.
Do you remember the movie "Top Gun"? There is a line in their where the navigator says."We're going vertical Mav." I have already gone vertical in my craft room and there is nowhere else to go. It will be wonderful to thin out a bit of paper.
Maybe we should have challenges each week on the number of layers or number of patterned papers to use. 100 cards won't make a dent in my stash but it will use up bits and pieces of papers. I think I will have to try and make at least one scrapbook. They use up a lot of supplies and they are addicting.
I have very few paper stacks, but I do have lots of scrapbook kits. They are all on the shelves with the 12 x 12 papers. With the kits I have all of brand "A" together and all of brand "B" together. I need to put all of my "winter", etc. kits and papers together reguardless of what brand they are so I can see what all I have and use them. I get to looking for Christmas paper (or what ever theme) and forget to look in the kits so they don't get used.
Pansy, u were supposed to buy one 4 them one 4 u. Instant packages.
But Paula, I didn't want a toddler walk a long elephant, a spirograph, a rubicube game, a monkey backpack with matching monkey suitcase or size 3X polo shirts and new hankies........LOL! In fact, I'm not sure I shopped any place where something I would want was.......and DH and I agreed not to buy for each other(except I always do buy some things for him--a collectible belt buckle, and a couple of other things I think he needs.) SO----I will just have to help Mr. H open his presents.....

Morning Jeanette...evidently I've been naughty since there are no packages under our tree for me.....and I know because I wrapped all of them.
Ditto...
but, then when I am asked what I want I don't have an answer to give. there really isn't anything I need...
and I don't know how high my paper stacks, I have a suitcase full of 6" pads ( see the gallery) and a legal size 5 drawer file cabinet with hanging folders ( this is mostly cardstock but, the fronts of colors sections are scraps or papers I pulled off of 6" pads years ago) and then there is this thing that was hmmm those wire rack things people used to ziptie to hold 12" papers and this is two of them side by side they are at least waist high ( I'm 5'9" so think counter top height for sure) and they hold all the loose 12" paper and cardstock. I don't hoard it, but, I have "choices"
I don't buy the large size papers in pads I never use those.
So Pansy, I'm thinkin' the suit case and matching pack could be interesting. You can store crafts in those. In the future you will have to buy what you would like to have and then one for them, one for me will work out just right.
Angie, I categorize my papers by theme and my cardstock, markers, and inks by roygbiv. It works very well for me. I keep all scraps in gallon zip top bag and keep in the front of each paper pad. Card stock scraps stay with the pack of card stock in the front of each package and I look at the scraps before cutting a whole sheet. Years ago I kept scraps separate and it was a nightmare. This way is much more efficient and cost effective because I use up the scraps much quicker.
I always spring clean and sort my craft stuff in January. I'll be creating and organizing right along with you.
Stacy, don't you need some giant dies or something?
"Choices" I love it and will be using this excuse in the future. I think I need a 12 step program when it comes to paper. ;)
Our DS is coming home today!!!! WOO HOO! Not sure yet when DD will get here. I love Christmas!!!!!!!!!! That being said, I probably won't be on SCS much at all for the next week or more. I'll be having too much fun with my 5. I know you understand... and I'll chat with you again when they go home. ;)
Pansy, u were supposed to buy one 4 them one 4 u. Instant packages.
That's how I do it!

I'm desperate to organize! I made a teacher card this morning and wanted to swear it's such a mess in there. It's probably not going to happen this week, but oh man it needs to happen soon!

Looks pretty cool! I collect vintage suitcases and use them in my LR for decor - the LR is decorated with a travel theme - clocks with time zones of various places, souviners from mission trips, lots of vintage world globes, and of course suitcases!
ah see choices? when I started papercrafting there were Zero stores here so, whenever I was lucky enough to go to a store ( think the closest one to my house was 80+ miles) I stocked up...
anyways, the 100 cards is no big deal for me I will do it, I will even use things from my stash. not an issue. I am organized. the
no shopping thing could be the deal breaker... ( I have a spring booth on March 7th for which I have Not.Made.A.Single.Thing. as of yet...) and I dont have much in the way of Spring stamps because, the bulk of what I make is birthdays and Christmas and Thanksgiving. so... if something SHINY comes along between now and that hundred days straight up I will buy it...
