After all the technical issues we had last week with hyperlinks (LOL), I wanted to do something easy this week. So I picked one of my favorite Pinterest Boards that doesn't have too many images - yet has a LOT of variety to inspire even the most talented card designers! It's simply called " Beautiful Fountain Pens ". This board is my own virtual collection and exposition of many of the most beautiful, luxurious, and expensive fountain pens from all over the world! Each pen highlights exceptional mechanical and functional design elements, and in every case is over the top GORGEOUS! (Warning: they are usually not very affordable though, so I don't suggest you plan to go shopping there!-smiles) I challenge you to browse these carefully crafted writing instruments and find your very own design inspiration!
Challenge Goals: Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because a pen reminds you it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today .
My Guest Hostess has been inspiring us with beautiful and diverse card designs since 2007 ! Her name is Julie Warner (aka justrightdesigns). I encourage you to check out her gallery , it's AMAZING!
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded five of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Audrie, you have a fabulous and gorgeous Pinterest board of fountain pens. A beautiful alternative to texting. : ) Thanks for sharing it with us for inspiration.

Audrie- awesome site, such gorgeous writing instruments! I was inspired by the post drawing with fountain pens and used SU's Great Outdoors wheel stamp, along with TPC Studios' Travel World. Added some handwritten text, and intricately patterned frames that reminded me of these pens. Here's Vintage Note

When I read the intro for this challenge, I wondered; how could I possibly be inspired by pens? Then I opened the Pinterest page and what a wonderful surprise! Super choice Audrie, so much inspiration - love it! I knew I would make another Christmas card, since I still need more, so here is my CARD .

My apologies to all because I left my cards in staging! Fortunately Julie pointed that out to me and now you should be able to see them. Let me know if you can't please.
Had to do another card- I was inspired by the lovely pen in this photo - and used SU's Many Merry Messages for my sentiment. Added some vintage dp to reflect the pen's intricate design, and lace and pearl trims. Here's Vintage Lace

DH is a fountain-pen junkie - he loved looking at the pins I had time for over breakfast. Didn't have time to get up to my craft room till after dinner, though.
Thanks, Audrie.
