I uploaded my first card using the new loader yesterday and it was pretty simple.Today I got an email notification that there were comments added to my photo and I don't remember selecting (or seeing an option to select) email notifications. So I click on the "receive notifications" to see if it would allow me to change that and that only said email notifications enabled. So how do I turn that off. I've gone back into the photo edit, but I don't see a place to stop the notifications.

There's a link in the email you get to turn off notifications for that photo
Hi Lydia, I tried to upload to the Serene Silhouettes gallery and I keep getting a notice to select a subcategory. The Serene Silhouettes is a subcategory, lol. Not sure what the heck I am doing wrong, yikes!

Are you choosing the main category first? R-S Stampin' Up! sets should be your main cat, then choose the sub cat for the set. It worked fine for me

I read this morning about the new uploading system and of course computer challenged me shook in my boots imagining never being able to upload a card again!!!!! I just uploaded my first card using the new system and it was super easy, just like you promised. Thanks for all the work you do.

I read this morning about the new uploading system and of course computer challenged me shook in my boots imagining never being able to upload a card again!!!!! I just uploaded my first card using the new system and it was super easy, just like you promised. Thanks for all the work you do.

Duplicate file name (iPad/iPhone. Problem)
Special characters in file name.
Internet issues during upload, only partially creating the image.
I'd delete it, rename the file to a simple alpha only file name and try again.

I detleted... renamed photo and uploaded again... RED X :(. This particular card from a DT where I always list the challenge number in the name... could that be the problem? #183. Never a problem with the old system.

Alpha is just the alphabet. . Name it dawnltest.jpg - nothing but that - no spaces or numbers. Then delete the current one, clear your browser cache (instructions at the top of this forum) and upload again - to your member gallery, not an album.
1) Tell me what browser you're using.
2) Use the instructions at the top of this forum to clear your cache
3) After clearing your cache, try again.
4) If that doesn't work, try a different browser and let me know what happens.
I have tried clearing my cache and all that now, but still can't get it to work.

3) Didn't help :(
4) Tried with Internet Explorer also, but that didn't help either. Still getting an error message that I am not using a correct file type. But my files are .jpg

The file type is definitely a cache thing - did you follow our cache steps at the top of the forum?
I have tried to upload a new card 3 times, I complete 2 pages of info, press submit, and I get no error message, the uploader takes me back to my gallery (where I expect to see the new card), but no card.

I need some info:
1) Browser (complete with version info)
2) name of photo file - like cutekitty.jpg or whatever the file is named on your computer
3) Gallery and sub category you were trying to upload to

I filled out page 2 (for the 4th time), and hit submit. This time it worked. A title was not in the title block on page 2 (but I had typed one each time I tried to submit).
I've got to say I've been having trouble this evening too.
As I mentioned earlier I've always used my user name in my uploads and haven't any problem with the only 3 I'd uploaded till tonight with the new uploader.
Tried on laptop and PC (both up to date Chrome, both XP Pro).
Upstairs on the PC the image loaded, as in I could see it on page 1, and then filled in all the details on page 2 and when I submitted it, no sign of it.
Downstairs on the laptop it gets stranger, because it's the same browser (I know, I updated them both last week) and same OS ~ and here is where it gets really strange because while upstairs I could at least get the image uploaded, here I keep getting the invalid file format, so at least I don't waste my time filling in all the fields ;-).

1) The alphanumeric thing is getting fixed - that's a temporary problem.
2) The file format is definitely a cache thing, so something's not getting cleared out for you.
3) We are closing in on the disappearing uploads - so be patient with us while we figure that out.
I gave it one more go after clearing EVERYTHING from Chrome (so I have to log in all over the place again tomorrow), closing it down and opening it again. I did manage to get the picture to upload this time but it's disappeared again. Funny that it would have been a cache issue, since it's at least ten days since I last uploaded from the laptop, more like two weeks. Definitely old uploader days ;-).
I was uploading to Technique Spotlight, Wiper Card.
Lost files were titled MMTPT267c22.png and mmtpttyler.jpg
Lydia.........................HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! I had no issues uploading my cards with the new system, until today. I've tried 3 times to upload my teapotter card today and it does not show up in the galleries anywhere. Why did it work before and now it doesn't? I didn't do anything different. Oh please help me................

Another fail for me this morning - Mary, it's not just you! And I noticed in Celisa's TPT upload that it took her several times. Someone has jinxed the tea-party this week, LOL.
I just uploaded an old card I had on my computer to see how it went. I use IE and had no problems with the upload. I do have a question though: Just as I clicked on submit I noticed the little box to the left that was checked. It was to receive email notifications. Is there any way I can have that unchecked as the default??

No - the default is yes, because that's what the vast majority of people choose. Sorry about that!
