Hi. Maggie, Mom will always have the feeding tube, because of the ALS. She can't speak or swallow because of the ALS. I will get a break tomorrow morning. Sis will feed her, and I can sleep in and go to church. Also, next week we may get more help from Hospice. Don't know how much they help, but will get relief for a couple of the feedings. My mom hates all of this, bless her heart. She is quite the lady going thru all of this!
The 27 is all so the Dare To Get Dirty for fan club members. If you are not a Fan Club Member, look at joining. Dare To Get Dirty is my favorite thing on SCS every year.
Joyce, sorry your street fair wasn't great this year. It is also hot here.
Thanks for the prayers. Prayer is what is getting us thru all of this. I can't believe what we have gone thru, and learned, and life goes on. But my God is good!
That must be very difficult for your mom to be so dependent on other people for basic needs like that. Sending up lots of prayers for all your family for strength during this difficult time.
I'm a Fan Club member, but I seldom get over there to check out what's going on. I'll have to look in on the Dare to Get Dirty. Sounds like fun.

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I met with a scrapping group last night. I will actually be out at crops three Fri eves in a row (starting last night). Last night I worked on a card. Today was spent at lunch and mall celebrating my sister in laws birthday. She is finally 40! LOL She is the baby of the group. She has been with my brother FOREVER! Since she was a teenager and then married him in her early twenties. We are so blessed to have her in our family. Tomorrow I have no plans. We have declared it Family Day and cancelled & said no to all for any plans. Looking forward to it. See you back here soon:-) Oh...BIG news....we got rain here today! The desert needs it.

We are getting a real downpour right this very minute. Glad I got out earlier to feed the kitties because they take off for parts unknown when it starts to rain.
I do have company coming for dinner tonight and I made a triple berry cobbler last night for our dessert. It was soooooo easy! I saw the recipe on FB and decided to try it out. Of course I had to taste it last night to make sure it was going to be okay. Yummy!

You are going to love,it! I think it is my third one! I love that unlike VSN, you can combine the challenges! I think some try to do each challenge separately; I just try to combine them to get all of them done. They have like 6 or so a day for a week! And the chatter is fun too; and then there are prizes too!

about your DD making a mess when she stamps, i say just jump in and join her . ive been stamping for a long time and I always get inky fingers. I wear a shirt that it doesnt matter if i get ink . paint, etc on it . cover the desk in paper(re-using paper) for scribbling , testing which color i want, wiping my fingers all that good stuff . if my fingers get really inky i keep baby wipes within reach. . once I have used all the space on a piece of paper, I just tape a new one over it. it builds a layer of protection from leaks, spills, etc and protects the work surface. I use the hubsters desk . the last time I pulled all the paper off I think I had 14 layers. its almost like a living scrapbook of your paper crafting history . mine even has some wire in it from when i was making jewelry. that way it started out with something special and when I start the paper again , i put it there again.
i hope I didnt run on too long . even the hubster doesnt understand. he doesnt have to . its my thing , not his
Happy Monday. Today Corey is supposed to get his pain patch off. Well, even with trying to entice him to let me get close to him, he wasn't having any of it. I'll have more time when I get home from work, so we'll do it then.
I let Casper and Maggie Mae in to see him this morning. It was so cute to see the 2 twin brothers together and they both have the same funny meow.

broke my wizard yesterday at its weakest point . with it being all metal it broke where the screws were holding it together . solid metal is good , the joins are where its weakness comes . i'll probably get a used one from ebay. all the others are just plastic . i think the only metal is in the handle. besides I think its at least 6 years old . i know i had it when i started working my last job and that was april 2007. other than that i dont remember when i bought it LOL. i havent had any trouble that wasnt caused by over shimming. and thats nothing to do with the machine itself. thats what you call Operator error . in the computer biz its called PEBCAK problem exists between chair and computer

It looks really good to me Joyce. Since it's limited to PTI, that could be an issue with some who might sign up, like me. ;) I do own some of the older PTI cardstock, but that's about it. I like some of the colors that are not SU look alikes.

they are alot like the cuddlebug in that the plates of the sandwich are clear and can get what i call divets (sp). where one area is lower from usage. you just end up moving your die to a different spot where its more level. no biggie . then once you run out of level, time for a new plate . takes a mighty long time tho.depending on how much you use yours , you may have started experiencing the dreaded divets . if you havent i wouldnt worry about it . when you do simply remember to move your die
I was finally able to get the pain patch off of Corey, but he certainly wasn't happy with me. I tried all evening to entice and coax him out to get some yummy wet food, but he knew that I wanted to grab him and he was afraid that I'd put him in one of those cages again. :rolleyes: Finally I went in and for some reason I looked in the bathtub and there he was. I had noticed times before that he had been in there because the bath mat was inside the tub. I quickly closed the door and then went and got the alcohol swab and the bowl of wet food. I was able to get the patch off, but after that he sure didn't want to have anything to do with me. Hissed and growled at me. :???: Oh well, I'm planning to let him out tomorrow or the next day and after some time, he'll be okay.
