Also a tip for Brandy when cutting foam core.... Use a fresh blade. Makes a big difference.
found some for $1.00 @ dollar tree . I think I wanna play with polymer clay instead
thanks for the tip about the fresh blade . I think I have only changed the blade in my exacto knife one time LOL. part of it was that I couldnt find them. yeah i know hard to believe i didnt know where it was . once I found them I changed the blade . dont even remember when that was . probably should change them more often . all I use them for currently is to do cutouts when Im fussy cutting . i just cut a little box to give me access and then I come back with the scissors and finish it . the exacto knife was never my strong suit . my control of the blade is not so good . I usually end up cutting more than I want with the exacto knife . dont particularly care for that

I'm not good with exacto knives either or any kind of knife except for eating.

Good morning, ladies. Spent over an hour on phone with Bob. He could talk and today is his birthday so I gave him my morning. Now waiting on an address so I can get one more box ready for the post office then I'm off to sit at the cafe for awhile. I have a manuscript I'm doing edits on for a friend. I work better on those away from home.
Nothing on my blog so far this week. Lagging behind as I try to catch up some stuff. Hoping to be back on track by next week.
Funny you mentioned polymer clay, Brandy. I just sent an article off to the editor of Polymer Cafe magazine. I will be in the next issue - not sure if its the Nov/ Dec or the Jan/ Feb. I have The Last Word column. I have one more to write in the next week or so and get off to her for the following issue. This one is about 'mistakes'.

Just a quick stop in. I've been on the music promo stuff all day. NEED to write a scene in the fiction tonight. I'm hoping for creative time on Sunday. I just have my desk buried again.
I moved everything off of my SU cabinet so I could design and sketch out the new ink spot/ reinker/alcohol mister storage. The unit is mapped out but won't get made until probably Mon or Tue when the rain moves in and I can't work on the computer. I do need to get a couple of fall/ halloween cards made though so that's my plan.

Foam Core to the rescue! LOL I have everything drawn out. There will be a spot for a mini-mister with alcohol ink, a spot for the reinker and then the spot in each current color of SU (except where we no longer have spots - GRRRR) Behind each color family, there will be a slot for the WC crayons, the altered book I'm making to hold SU embellishments and then a long back slot for the chalk tray.

Busy day at the office and then I went and walked at lunchtime. Decided to use my GC's from Brighton's that I got for my b'day this year and last year and get a new purse. It's in the mall, so I just needed to stop on my way back to the office.
I'm posting a photo of it, but where it has the alligator looking trim, mine is brown there. I'm very particular about my bag and had to make sure it had enough different pockets. It all worked out though.

I've been on this computer for 13 hours today. Just wanted to pop in and say goodnight. I'm gone all day tomorrow but might be able to pop in tomorrow night. Friday I'll be baking/ decorating a cake and prepping apple pie filling for a couple of items for a benefit auction. Sweet Dreams!

Busy day at the office and then I went and walked at lunchtime. Decided to use my GC's from Brighton's that I got for my b'day this year and last year and get a new purse. It's in the mall, so I just needed to stop on my way back to the office.

Nice. I'm holding out for a Michael Kors bag. I'm not high maintenance but there is something about his bags I Love. Bob is kind enough to walk through Macy's with me so I can finger them :-D There is a Michael Kors store in Opry Mills Mall. I need to visit without my daughter. She was on a mission last time we were out there and I barely got to inhale the leather fumes. LOL

you will absolutely fall asleep behind the wheel.
the drive there is the most boring 2 hrs you will
spend. then the locals bless their little hearts never heard
of the word overpass. one woman called it
"overhead". the lady in the store kept referring to
it as "the road that goes up high". apparently I was
missing my bjg city girl to small town dictionary. mapquest was
no help either. however in my experience that's
the norm for mapquest.
What an adventure! I will be able to find that store
for the rest of my life. generally anything that takes that
much time and effort , you are not likely to forget.

Oh my goodness! That sounds like quite an adventure. Did you get done whatever it was that you went there for?
I've never driven it, but the trip from H Town to AZ is pretty boring too I'm told - lots of desert. I didn't used to be able to drive long distance, but I've gotten better over the years. I can actually make the trip to Dallas without any problems.

Just got back from dinner. It was our Single Chicks night. I was a little annoyed because there were only 3 of us there. We had changed the night for one of the ladies so she could come and then she didn't even show up. :confused: I called her earlier to remind her because she doesn't have a computer so no e-mail and got her voice mail. Just called her again and got voice mail again. Anyway, dinner was good and had a chance to chat with the 2 ladies that were there. I need to go do some blog hopping and then get myself off to bed.
