Default NEED Printer Advice Please!!!

My black and white laser printer is seeing it's last breath. I'm so sad. I do a lot of digi stamping and print them on using 110lb card stock.

I use a laser printer because it doesn't smear or run like an ink jet typically would.

HELP!!!! I'm at a loss!!!! What do you recommend?!?!??!

Thank you in advance.

I'd love to know as well ... I have been contemplating a Canon imageCLASS MF4450 All-In-One Laser Printer
Anyone have input on what works best for digi printing?

I print digis too. I just bought a Canon Pixma MG5320 (injet) printer from Walmart for $90. It works beautifully for printing digis and I've had no problem with smearing when color the images with copics.

I have a Canon MP560 and haven't had any problems with ink smearing. I can run heavy cardstock (200#) through my printer from the rear feed without any jamming as well.

I did a lot of research on this before buying my first laser printer (with digi-stamps in mind)... and got pretty frustrated, LOL. I found a really good price on a Brother HL-2207W, and took the plunge.

I'll try to give an honest review: I had some issues when I first got it (mostly with setting up the WiFi), but I'm really happy with it now. It will take 110lb paper, if you set it for "bond paper", and use the special paper feeder and open the back, so it goes straight through. I wouldn't try anything thicker, though. (I'm trying to do most of my digis now on 65 or 80lb.) I've had a tad bit of trouble with it not being 100% straight, but that only bothers me if I'm printing text (sometimes I use the same cardstock to print a sentiment for the inside of the card). When I print digi-stamps, I don't care if they're straight because I'm just going to cut them out, anyway.

Other than that, I'm very happy. It prints super quick, and the ink doesn't smear at all. (I use pencils and OMS to color.) But as this is the first laser printer I've personally owned, I don't have anything to compare it to.

I also did a lot of research and ended up with a Brother on Black Friday. Good luck!
