this quote reminds me of something I read yesterday morning. I read from the devotional our daily bread and it was speaking of doing things in pain. In other words if you wait until you have no pain it may not get done.
Okay, the day started terrible since when is a 90% a fail, only when you test for the federal government of CANADA for French. Yes I failed, I failed because I forgot to use expressions that we learned six months ago that I would never in a million years use again. Il fait l'exercise you can do excercise. Two points for that baby. I did not know what a battement was, we have never used that before. It is edifice or building in English. For six months she has called it an edifice....yes you can tell, I am very annoyed she took four points for that because I got so frustrated I could not ask her in french to refraise the question so I asked in English.....:(. I am so mad at myself. After that question things just went down hill. Fingers crossed that they let me stay on in French.
Dea, you have worked soooo hard for this. We all know that. You studied harder than most, in my opinion. I will pray that it all works out for you. But you keep that head held high because you worked hard and can be very proud of yourself. I know I am proud of you!!!
I made the cutest card today!! It was not for a challenge, just a technique I saw in Cardmaker Magazine but it is sooo cute. I will try to take a picture but not sure I will be able to do it justice. I will try! Be back soon.
Kathy thank you, I feel better I was just frustrated before I should not vent, things always have a waif working out. Just think ifi can't go forward I will have plenty of time for my crafts...lol
I wish I could show you this in person because pictures just don't do my coloring justice! LOL But since we can't meet in person today, I will post my pictures here. I took three views to show the progression.
So mommy got up...brought fresh salsa to grumpy...went and picked up a friend to go to a kitchen store. I got a nutmeg grater and a nice size mason jar since the bowl I use for salsa...is now with grumpy! LOLOLOL I have also realized that I have put over 3,000 km on bargain betty since I bought her. This may be why I have a trucker's tan...yes my left arm has a tan and my right does not! LOLOLOLOL
This is beautiful, I absolutely love what you did with it, the colouring is so cool.

Does anyone know the name of the technique I used? I think it is maybe a magic card or hidden image card or something like that? The magazine did not show a name, just said "Color it with Markers." I used sharpies to color since copics are way overpriced. If you want shading with the sharpies, I just go over certain sections with the same color and it darkens. Go over it several times if you want more darkening....
I am sorry Dea...I am laughing sooo hard.....yesterday when the delivery went to the rental office I said m*rde....not realizing it was the frano-phone on the phone with me....oh she laughed...I went to the office to say ...don't tell the new girls...and they were all laughing and saying it....I have never heard it said with a Mexican overtone before! LOLOLOLOLOL ( Kathy it means SH*T)
no worries, I laugh too when the day ends and a new one starts and I realize how stupid I was for stressing over something so insignificant to life. I have my health, my house, a husband I truly love (today anyways - LOL)
Thank you so much for listening you guys I really just needed to vent and you let me.
Hope everyone is having a great day. I am working on my card for Vickie's challenge. I hope it makes you smile.

Venting....that's what friends are for! But then we just want to smack someone for you!! LOL
So no one knows the name of the technique I did? I was hoping to google a tutorial and see if they have more tips. I am going to do more of those cards, but I think the next one will have the pull to the right instead of on top. By putting it on top, I had to cut a slit through the fold to pull it up.
No worries Dea! I love the venting...gives me a wind-swept look! LOLOLOLOLOL
And you have to love hubby at least one day a week....hugs and other stuff is optional! LOLOLOLOL Oh Oh shoot me
Reminds me of a SONG! "Bang Bang" by Nancy Sinatra. I was five, he was six, we rode on horses made of sticks... that's all I remember, but it would be a good INSPIRATIONAL Song to create a card from!

I think it's called a Magic Card; hey, your card is an INSPIRATIONAL song..."Magic Man" by Heart!
Bang banfg went Maxwells silver hammer down upon her head! LOLOLOLOLOLOL Oh Oh I should put that in my lullabyes for when I need the sleep mallet...ok...ok...why am I soo silly today???
Thanks Vickie. I looked that tutorial over a little and Beate did hers differently. She had the image on the pull tab. I stamped the image on clear transparency and again on watercolor paper. I colored the watercolor paper image and then taped the transparency over top and put a piece of white paper in between on a pull tab. When you first look at the card, you see the image in black and as you pull the tab up, the colored image underneath is slowly revealed. I think my way is a bit easier, really not my way, but the tutorial in the Cardmaker magazine's way. I plan to watch Beate's again, though, for more tips! Thanks again.
are you still there Vickie?? do you waqnt CHAT or CHallenge for the location of the thread over the summer break?
If challenge is voted for, we may have to start a new thread because I don't think they like them to go longer than 5000 posts and we are already over that. Unless that has changed. It's been a while since I read that somewhere.
Ok,,,, I will vote for chat...in there I plan on talking about the all-occasion cards I am making for my friends and asking my crafty-friends for help...what shall we call it...YCDI and beyond?
